Of course it isn't.
If it were, she'd have a large(er) presence and wouldn't be expendable.

How would Miranda react to the Prothean in ME3? Does she have any dialogue towards him?
@AgitatedLemon:
Certain characters were put on the team because of fan demand. Were Miranda the kind of character who could be on the team because of fan demand, I probably wouldn't like her. A big part of why I like her is that she's not "safe" and easy to like, but controversial.
Think Miranda would be very keen to study the prothean.
I'm not sure Miranda being on the team would have caused the her being safe problem. She would have been the jack role probably(character who stands opposed to the rest of the Normandy). I honestly think her being off the team more has that problem as the content she's going to have is going to that much less. The fact we are all fearing that they just decided to focus on the personal aspect and ignore her professional side and her Cerberus arc is evidence of that.

And happy endings should be mostly of screen. We only need to know that everything's going to be okay.
Also the epilogues shouldn't be too detailed in those aspects we can't influence by in-game choices. We all don't want our imagination about what happens after restricted too much.

Actually, no, not easily. I can imagine her flying a stealth courier ship controllable by one person - and also remotely controllable. Something useful to get from place to place without being seen and making stealthy drops and pickups for covert operations. But I don't think she's the type to command a frigate-sized ship like the Normandy.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...

Agreed. Obviously either could be problematic, but the Cerberus story is integral to the main story of the game. So, either on the team, or around at enough key points that she might as well be, were/are the only real options.

An interesting predicament.
Even more reason why Miranda being on the squad makes sense. Or at least, having more than the pathetic role she has now.
Then again, Bioware hasn't been too keen in the "making sense" department.

As it stands, Miranda's part in the game is unacceptably small, let alone her motivations.
All of this, despite being the #1 female in ME2 (Not counting Liara, she gained prominence via post-release DLC) and having a great deal of development and build up.
... And all of that counts for approximately nothing.
