Kabraxal, what do you mean? Tali's suit download schedule?
Yeah, it's creepy what sort of things people can find out about other people in this extranet society.

There's Tali, plus Grunt's Fornax subscription, or Jacob's rental of an implied pornographic movie. Not to mention the infamous dating logs in Miranda's dossier.

There are more, but I need to replay LotSB to remember them all.

I didn't mind the implications that she couldn't concieve or carry a child or Oriana's bit in the dossier... what I didn't like, and with most of the dossiers, was the inclusion of throwaway sexualised jokes. They weren't funny in any of the dossiers at all...

I didn't mind those 2 bits either. I thought Oriana's chat excerpt was hilarious, truth be told, and while I was certainly sad that Miranda was infertile, it wasn't nearly enough for me to drop her as a romance or as my favorite character. I'm fairly neutral on her extranet log (Where she buys things and updates various magazine subscriptions).

That said, the dating logs I thought were vomit inducing and don't exist.

The dating logs were OOC completely... especially if she was on the normandy like they imply.

I dunno about OOC. I mean, we don't really know about Miranda's sex life in either direction, apart from that dossier and the romance. She certainly never struck me as the "SEX. NAO!" type of woman.

SB dossiers are bad indeed, I just try not to take them into account. I feel better off that way.

Hey now... Legion's was... decent. Even though it had very little to do with him as a geth program, though. the gamer profile made me lol when I first saw it. "N7 Call of Honor: Medal of Duty"

The rest were crap though.

Oh, indeed, I forgot Legion's, the COD and MOH reference made me laugh.

Tali's was kind of sad, Miranda's was as well but to a lesser degree. If she was written more personally and if her fanbase wasn't so vociferous, she'd be a favorite of mine.

Tali would be a favorite? Or Miranda would be?

And what makes you think Tali's dossier was sad? When I saw the words "Neural stimulators" my first thoughts were "Great. Shepard turned down her advances, so now she needs a scifi-vibrator."

the dossiers are there just to show that the shadow broker knew the dirty secrets of everybody.. they wanted to show how good he was with information. but the content of the dossiers in itself was sometimes OOC and weird, I agree

He can have as much dirt as he wants (Even though Mordin's, Jacob's, Legions' ,Zaeed's, and a few others weren't really "dirt")

They're still unholy and must be destroyed in righteous fire.

Miranda's already a favorite. From her dossier, while everyone has some sort of porn, or is doing online dating, Tali is going in a direction that is sexual but is also entirely masturbatory. She's completely aone, even when indulging in her own personal fantasies. The whole quarian thing is sad, being in close physical proximity but always at an emotional distance has a lot of poetry to it. The character could have a lot of potential on that aspect alone but it has been squandered so far. Miranda's always been interesting since the beginning.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think the quarians being trapped in suits is a sort of delicious irony. Almost deserved, so it doesn't make me sad. Tali had some potential, but then ME2 happened and they tried to badass-ify her, and it backfired (imo).

Irony? You mean because they created a race of people and tried to keep them trapped as well? If that's the case, then I get it, but I don't think it's necessarily deserved. I mean you can't blame the son for the sins of the father, well not forever anyway. Tali's a sweet enough kid, so it makes the envirosuit thing a lot more sad. She hasn't done anything to deserve it.

I'm talking about the quarians in a broad generalization. There are certainly some likeable quarians (Kal'Reegar is almost universally praised).

>Create near-sentient AI.
>Attempt genocide on said AI
>Continue the war to near extinction
>Play victim after getting booted off the planet

The only reason I think it's at least partially deserved is because of point #4.

That's a valid point, I suppose. Things do change however once you actually meet individual Quarians. Steve (On Omega, The Quarians on Ilium and the Citadel do however paint the Quarians as a self victimized people though. It's hard to warrent sympathy when everyone from that group is portrayed as nothing but a bunch of sad mechanics that can't catch a break ever.

Tali's dossier is still a little sad though

OT. I finished Chuck, and OH MY GOD! That show was a chore towards the end. Really bad writing the closer it got towards the end with the exception of Casey, he was solid throughout, and Sarah got a bit of a redemption towards the end of season 5. I didn't like how they gave her a chance to end that really forced relationship and lasooed her back in at the end.

I liked Mordin's dossier, mostly because it references the fact that at one point he was the ME universe's version of Bill Nye the Science Guy.

As for Tali, what irked me about her in ME2 is her loyalty mission. No Tali, I'm not going to withhold evidence just so you can feel better. Also the fact that Shepard can pretty much win a trial just by shouting until people agree with his opinion makes me understand why Jtav would want to blow ME2 Shepard out of the nearest airlock.

Agreed re: season 5. The Morgan intersect experience was especially painful for me.

Sarah fell for Chuck after the second episode (very obvious), and hard to avoid where that was going - the regular (but extraordinary) guy wins the amazing babe (you can't believe this??). I saw nothing forced about it, with the possible exception of Chucks' inability to to grow beyond his wild eyed emotions. Interesting parallels...
