...OT. I finished Chuck, and OH MY GOD! That show was a chore towards the end. Really bad writing the closer it got towards the end with the exception of Casey, he was solid throughout, and Sarah got a bit of a redemption towards the end of season 5. I didn't like how they gave her a chance to end that really forced relationship and lasooed her back in at the end.
Agreed re: season 5. The Morgan intersect experience was especially painful for me.
Sarah fell for Chuck after the second episode (very obvious), and hard to avoid where that was going - the regular (but extraordinary) guy wins the amazing babe (you can't believe this??). I saw nothing forced about it, with the possible exception of Chucks' inability to to grow beyond his wild eyed emotions. Interesting parallels...

It started good but ended bad. When they started with the house and talking about babies in the middle of the season, I thought, "Well that was dumb, where are they going to be able to take it now?" Then through the magic of the intersect and her speech about loving him but not feeling it, I thought it was a window they gave her to give the show a more unique ending. Instead they buckled like a belt and followed the cliche by uniting them again over a beach conversation.

In season 1 and 2, it was... cute. Chuck trying really hard to earn her favor, and Sarah fighting to stay away. Once they started dating, after Shaw, it went down hill. Chuck became whiny and needy, very selfish and focused only on his "love" for Sarah. There were somany points where you could see in her face, as well as in the writing, that she was becoming progressively suffocated by him. His overbaring nature in the end really made me hate his character. Before he was a superspy, he was a better person, he was more brave, and was a lot more likeable. After the intersect upgraded and the physical atributes kicked in he became an overconfident douche, and I kept hoping Bryce was still alive somewhere and would come back and Whisk Sarah and Casey away.
Oh, involving, his sister, her husband, Casey's daughter, his ex-fiance, Chuck's mom, Morgan, Awesome, Jeff and Lester all in the spy game was too corny to swallow too. I see why it was forced off the air. They should've never made the attempt to make Chuck a permanent spy.

If they had ended it with her breaking it off.... that would have been the most pathetically bad ending ever...

This is very true. I thought when she asked him to run away with her that it was like something out of a Tolstoy novel. THis unbridled secret love, escaping all of thier problems and the people trying to control their lives and be free in secret where ever they chose. To be honest, the fact that she forgave him after he chose living his nerd fantasy over her, that she would never forgive him for Prague. Then the writers forgot how betrayed she felt towards him after that. I honestly think its near impossible to come back from a falling out like that.
How many people would forgive you if you basically toild them that you were going to choose working for someone, anyone, over being with them?

Yes. I knew that if I worked hard enough at it we would finally find some common ground.I was quite simply, astounded, at that stupid choice.

I'm partial to the first half of Chuck seaon 4, partially because Timothy Dalton is one of the best villains the show had. The guy might be a morally ambiguous leader of a criminal organization but he genuinely loves Frost.

I think bad would've been a C.I.A. spy/assassin who has no recollection of reforming herself around some guy, forcing herself to fit into a life she didn't feel like she fit into. But that's exactly what they did.

They were implying that she was regaining her memory at various points.

It was a bad move on the writers part. If anything it would be more interesting for the story as well if they left Prague together and had to dodge the C.I.A. and Casey for a season. It's even worse writing when they ignored the feelings they gave their own character at the end of a story arc. Sarah felt betrayed and then magically forgives him, and she doesn't even feel it when he suggest they stop being spies after it was her decision two seasons ago.
I'm sure we agree on more than that... Umm... Do you like Miranda?

Yes, in fact I more than like Miranda's character...but, please, don't call me vociferous. Simply stated, there is much to love about Miranda. If they don't give those who see it more, it's a serious mistake in my less than humble opinion.

The least we can hope for is that they don't ruin her like they ruined Walker.

Well you didn't miss much towards the end. Lets just say they did to Sarah what they did to Jack.
