Was thinking of what would be the best movie from the 20th century for Miranda to see and came to the conclusion that it would be 2001: a space odessey. HA

Errm... Why?

Have you not seen it?
Its got human advancement, aritificial intelligence(damned AI), its in cold empty space, classical music, and its visually stunning. Some people would dismiss it as "boring" and "emotionless" too.Image IPB
Do you think there's a better option?

I ask because that movie is 2 hours of 20 lines of dialogue and mind-rape visuals, tied to an absolutely absurd, albeit highly philosophical novel.

I think she'd enjoy Solaris. The philosphical edge combined with the empty lonliness of space fueled by the grief of one person. It's almost a biography of her.

Yeah, I've encountered that before. Either we all think alike or customization isn't what they make it out to be. Still, awesome Shepard is awesome:wizard:

What class are you playing?

Also welcome to the thread and cool user name!

All the film adaptations of Solaris are crap.

Not to mention the basic premise oft he novel is... not ME-like.

Really? I though Clooney's portrayl was very emotional, and I got swept up in it. True it isn't ME like, but Miranda is very different from the rest of the ME cast in her own right.

They're all the squad I need... and Bioware has seen fit to rob me of both.... It's a wonder I still want to play this game.

Maybe I hold a vendetta against Clooney. *Literally* every single role I see him in he's the archetypical pretty boy douchebag.

There's hardly any dialouge so you would ask questions yourself instead of being spoon fed, you know, like  independent thinking.Image IPB

Not answering questions =/= automatically good.

See: Halo with the origins of the Flood, or Gears of War with the origins of the Locust.

Especially since the novels eventually did explain a lot of the unanswered wuestions posed by the films.

Yes but what? My only mitigation is that this is how people must've felt between ME1 and 2 when they found out their favorites weren't going to be on the squad. At least some of them got over it...

Also I suppose I do want an end to my Shepard's story...

I'll be honest. The only 2 story elements pulling me into ME3 are-

The prothean
Wiping out the Reapers

Apart from that, I'm mostly for the gameplay changes and the MP.
