Not to mention the basic premise oft he novel is... not ME-like.

Really? I though Clooney's portrayl was very emotional, and I got swept up in it. True it isn't ME like, but Miranda is very different from the rest of the ME cast in her own right.

Maybe I hold a vendetta against Clooney. *Literally* every single role I see him in he's the archetypical pretty boy douchebag.

Well perhaps that is it. Personally I'm a fan of the man and thought his version was better to that of the russian one.

Was thinking of what would be the best movie from the 20th century for Miranda to see and came to the conclusion that it would be 2001: a space odessey. HA
Errm... Why?
Have you not seen it?
Its got human advancement, aritificial intelligence(damned AI), its in cold empty space, classical music, and its visually stunning. Some people would dismiss it as "boring" and "emotionless" too.Image IPB
Do you think there's a better option?
I ask because that movie is 2 hours of 20 lines of dialogue and mind-rape visuals, tied to an absolutely absurd, albeit highly philosophical novel.
There's hardly any dialouge so you would ask questions yourself instead of being spoon fed, you know, like  independent thinking.
Not answering questions =/= automatically good.

See: Halo with the origins of the Flood, or Gears of War with the origins of the Locust.

I'm Loving the Score for ME3. Made by Clint Mansell, a different Composer compared to Jack Wall.

The robotic twanging doesn't do the very good piano any justice.

I'm not going to pick whom I like better yet though from 1 song.

You know it's bad when the forumgoers on Bungie.net and EPIC's forums create the most inane and idiotic of theories, because the devs thought they were being "mysterious".

I'll be honest. The only 2 story elements pulling me into ME3 are-

The prothean
Wiping out the Reapers

Apart from that, I'm mostly for the gameplay changes and the MP.

The prothean sounds like the worst idea ever concieved. Honestly if there was any character I would allow myself to call bull**** on without knowing anything about them it'd be him (it?). Full on WTF-mode. Although the other "spoiler" squadmate (if it isn't common knowledge already) is equally dumb though more so by association (contriving to put her on the squad when including others would've been so much simpler). But the prothean sounds retarded as a concept, in and of itself.

I will still reserve judgement for when I see it. I may very well be singing its praises in a month but for now it's on the short bus as far as I'm concerned.

I very much enjoyed taking those two ladies into that mission together, also.

They're all the squad I need... and Bioware has seen fit to rob me of both.... It's a wonder I still want to play this game.

Amen, brother.

Miranda has a big part in the Cerberus plot of ME3 (her father has to do with that)  and Kasumi (she and Thanes son will be investigating something on the Citadel).

Well the vid wasn't fully edited correctly. LOOK CLOSELY at the DATE of the Video. I'm sure the Final Product won't have Sound Effects.

The one thing I have to say about ME3 is that the gameplay is rather impressive. Shepard's a lot more nimble when in comes to diving into cover and there are some neat new powers, the whole concept of weight capacity and cooldown time doesn't really make me want to carry all of the guns all at once but its a neat mechanic.

I guess I'm just a sucker for the super advanced progenitor-type aliens in scifi. 9/10 times they're more interesting than everything else.

See: Forerunners (and Precursors) in Halo, Space Jockeys, the aliens from Space Odyssey, etc.

I like how we are more flexible on the Battlefield. There's a more "Realistic" Feel to it.

No. The fact that she's replaceable renders this point moot.

Sure but after establishing they've all been dead for millenia, going "surprise, there's one on the lower deck, go buy him a cup of coffee" sounds incredibly bad and really, kind of like you don't give a **** anymore. Like "here are these awesome Precursors who had all this amazing tech and were enlightened and more advanced than us in every way- now let's see one run into a wall or enemy fire like the rest of our dumb asses."
Demystifies them for one, and even if you want that (like I know some do) that doesn't change the first objection, that it's retardedly convoluted to try and ressurect one after you've throroughly established they're extinct.

The gameplay is defintiely a great improvement. The cover system is straight out of Splintercell Conviction and all of the guns were perfected. Which makes ,me wonder, if the gameplay was perfected so much and if what we've seen in the leak is consistent, then it's safe to assume the writing suffer quite a bit.

I think this one feels like the Mass Effect 1 credit song

I dunno, the way the prothean seems to be handled in ME3 is... intriguing, to say the least.

And he isn't "resurrected", he's... Well, spoilers, even if that explanation is retarded.

Well yeah I guess I'll have to see it to make the final call. But that's how things stand now as far as I'm concerned. Time will tell if I like it or not.
