Shame Miranda is not a squadmate.

Least there will always be ME2, you get her for like 99% of the game. That's nothing to sneeze at friend's

Yeah but how many times can you replay ME2 before it gets old? We want new content with Miranda in it, most of us here have seen everything ME2 has to offer.

Had to end sometime mate. Or maybe this isn't the end...?

I found letting some time go by makes ME2 more enjoyable. I did 3 playthroughs pretty much back to back when I first got it and I was litterally dragging myself through the last one (well the middle part anyway, the suicide mission was stil fun). Then I went on to Skyrim. Going back now and I'm actually anxious to play it again.

Most N7 assignments and the Firewalker DLC missions are a chore these days. Oh, and Overlord. I hate Overlord (for the gameplay, not the story). The other missions are still nice to play occasionally, though there are parts I'm thoroughly fed up with. I have one ME2 playthrough to make before ME3 comes out. My main femShep's awaiting a replay.

As for Miranda, her continuing presence is mostly felt if you have her in the squad almost all the time, which of course I have. Even if it's only one or two comments per mission, it's enough to feel that she's there - as opposed to the DLC missions where she hasn't got anything to say. For that alone, her presence will be felt quite a bit less in ME3, even if her story is good. Even so, I don't really mind - if her story is good and there are team members I like. Which is a big if, since it means I'll have a team of three.

As for this being the end....we're hoping for an awesome end. Miranda's story shouldn't end on a whimper. ME2 didn't really satisfy for closure, and ME3... is a big question mark.

BTW, I don't know why you hate the Prothean. Why is the idea that he survived the millennia in cryo-sleep so unaccetable to you?

Tell me that when you've played ME2 *literally* 40 times or more.

Same here but I lost count some where at 20 play throughs by the time ME2 had been out a year.
Not to mention I enjoy all the ME2 cast infanitely more than the ME1 cast.

I have Liara, Prothy, Kaidan, and James. I'm good on that score. I just want Miranda to be awesome. I've also got some concerns about my ability to get through her mission.

Yeah the N7s are pretty much just padding. For some reason I find ME1's assignments more of a chore though. Agree about Firewalker as well, I usually just rush through it. Overlord presents a more enjoyable Hammerhead experience though, even if regular combat is more of the same. Why do you dislike it?

Oh boy does the underlined apply to Overlord. Miranda really doesn't have anything to say to/about Archer? Tali or Legion don't have anything to say about controlling Geth and hybrid AIs? Major disappointment, that.

Regarding the Prothean: Short answer to your question: Ilos. The absolute last bastion of the Protheans and they all had to die to keep Vigil running. He's barely holding together when you get there and in ME2 you're told he shut down shortly after you left. But now wait, oh no, forget all that, there was one prothean left snoozing comfortably. Ridiculous. And convoluted. You know what would've been a better idea? Saving Vigil and downloading him into some kind of shell. You know, kind of like they did elsewhere?
Spending two games establishing that a race is extinct just to go back on it in the third "for the lulz" is a bad idea any way you slice it. I may still end up liking him, and thus reserve final judgement. But until further notice I consider the idea really, really really....dumb.

I hope it's very cartoon-y and impossible to take seriously. I know what it looks like and I almost threw up when trying to write it seriously.

Am I the only one who thinks Prothy looks like he has Downs? I mean, he has those weird goat-looking eyes and that "duuuuurrrr" look on his face, at least in the art book. They should have just done away with the mouth and went for a more protoss-style facial structure.

I fully expect him to start drooling and slurring his words when he talks to me.

Don't even get me started :L not  'appy!

I threw my slipper at the screen when the final scene finished, I **** you not haha!

I wear cowboy boots 95% of the time, it was damn near a TV disaster in our living room. :pinched:

Well at least we know Bioware would have to REALLY screw up for Miranda to get anything near to the lame closure Sarah got (what closure? because lets face it, she got no closure at all.) So anything Miranda gets is gonna be better than what Sarah got.

Man :( if that's the bright side of all this, then that really sucks!

Yeah i agree completely with you crutch.  I may end up using him a lot though if he's reasonably characterised as i detest the rest of the squad so much.

LOLOLOLOL U Mad?
Sorry that was ment for one of my many rants.

I don't have the art book yet it's on it's way from amazon.com but I've seen Jack's new look and it looks rather bad@ss.
In the new traler Miranda still looks the same thank god, I was worried BW was gonna attempt to remake her wearing something like classic Ashley Armor.

Well, "bright side"

That being that Bioware cannot possibly ruin Miranda as much as the Chuck writers ruined Sarah. It would be a mammoth fail on Biowares part if Mirandas ending is worse then Sarahs.

But I mean , I'm clutching at straws here.

I think Jack is the only ME2 character to get a redesign.

Jacob, Samara (Wearing her loyalty outfit), Legion, Mordin, Miranda, and Grunt all appear to be wearing their stock clothes.

Wait Ruined Sarah in Chuck... how  could run a character like Sarah?... Should I even attempt to watch the last couple of Seasons?

I really enjoyed season 4, so i'd definitely watch that!

Season 5 was decent up untill the last 3 episodes. I'm considering all 3 episodes non canonical, mainly beacuse of what they did to Sarah. It was a massive **** slap to the fans of the show.

So i'd say tread with caution :/

I don't watch Chuck, but everyone in this thread seems to utterly despise the finale.

I don't think anyone even holds it as halfway decent.

This among all the Chuck talk I've seen on here I could agree with. They should've never trod down the path they did in the last three episodes. Nothing good could possibly have come of it.

That being said you can't just reject canon simply because you don't like it. It sucks major balls but we have to deal with what's there. I've never been a fan of the "oh the sequels/prequels/this specific part don't exist because I don't like them" mentality.

Mmm rightly so, loose ends here there and everywhere. The finale literally made the previous 4 and 3 quarter seasons completely null and void.

Hmmm maybe you're right. I feel as if rejecting the final 3 episodes atleast means I can rewatch the previous ones, It feels stupid to rewatch Chuck again atm beacuse everyone knows it's gonna amount to nothing,

My thinking on it anyway :/
