Hmmm maybe you're right. I feel rejecting the  final 3 episodesa atleast means I can rewatch the previous ones, It feels stupid to rewatch Chuck again atm beacuse everyone knows it's gonna amount to nothing,

My response to the people who tell me "Oh, just play ME2 again if you want Miranda at your side again durrrr!".

This among all the Chuck talk I've seen on here I could agree with. They should've never trod down the path they did in the last three episodes. Nothing good could possibly have come of it.

That being said you can't just reject canon simply because you don't like it. It sucks major balls but we have to deal with what's there. I've never been a fan of the "oh the sequels/prequels/this specific part don't exist because I don't like them" mentality.

I think i'll avoid season 5 in its entirety, given the news of that truly awful plotting. I don't have any pretence that what occurred isn't canon but at least i won't have to have it as my abidding memory of the show. Fingers crossed i don't have to end up wishing i'd made the same choice with ME3 regarding Miranda.

Umm, not sure if anyone has brought this up yet, (I didnt want to review 1500 pages worth of comments) but isn't it possible that Bioware is saving a substantial amount of Miranda content for dlc? It's the perfect strategy, take away the most popular ME2 character, and then release a major DLC story for her a la Liara in LOTSB. Since we've already been told the DLC will take place before the end of the game, this is entirely possible. Since we know that VA for Miranda was used again, I just feel like they either have given her a much bigger role than was in the leak, or they are crafting dlc content to take more of our money. The third option everyone is afraid of seems the least likely, though still possible.

How the heck does Chuck keep coming up in Miranda's thread other than the fact that the same lady does a character at times like Miranda?
I've never watched the show but somehow It keeps popping up not just here now that I think of it but whenever Miranda comes up in a conversation.

I've brought this up before.

It was thusly shot down.

And it wouldn't make any sense to stuff 1 character full of DLC content, and ignore the rest of the same crew.

You should have seen the Capt. Bailey thread back in the day. Every other post was a picture of Col. TighImage IPB

Seriously, though, it is a bit weird.

Because a good number of Miranda fans are also Yvonne fans and because the characters are similar.

As for the DLC, I think it's possible. I also think people here won't exactly be pleased with that option regardless.

I guess Miranda and Sarah are similar characters, played by the same actress.

Thus, comparisons are made.

I think that's a wise decision. At least you get a happy ending with season 4. The writers really screwed  us over in the 5th season.
My thinking is that Miranda could never have an ending as bad as Sarahs (Hope I aint jinxed it lolololol)

Sorry yeah I think this might be my doing haha.

I watched the finale last night and it made me realise that both Sarah and Miranda have been victim to bad writing decisions.

Especially considering how similar the charcters are and the fact Yvonne portrays both

Of *course* you can reject canon. I say this as someone who's very meticulous about my lore research. Stop watching before the horrible episode. If you're of a slightly more creative bent, fix it in writing. I killed Miranda off specifically so she'd have to sit out what would have been her mission. My version isn't less real than BW's. Miranda Lawson isn't going to sue me for libel for saying she's indoctrinated. I can tell a good story or a bad one, but not a less real one.

But wait a minute. Didn't yhey just do it with Liara in ME2? And who were you shot down by? An official rep of Bioware, or a fan who probably knows as little as you and I?

Yvonne plays a hardcore super spy-esque character, falls victim to bad writing.

I see a pattern here...

Liara got 1 mission via DLC, and it was a fairly short mission at that. I'm not sure Liara even counts since a fair deal of that same DLC is buildup for ME3.

Liara has plot armor Miranda lacks. DLC already has a more limited audience; they'll release things everyone can play.

Why people doubt there being ME2 exclusive character DLC is their could be dead nature as of the end of ME2.

Haha yeah...

The moral to this story is to stay well away from anything with Yvonne in to avoid disappointment in the products final installment ;)

Wouldn't work IMO. A lot of fanbases would rage, plus the thing with Liara, it made sense in the context of the ME2 story, plus her plot-armor, but that all seems mute because of her role in ME3.

This.

Plus, in the words of Hitler, "Liara has more plot armor than 30 Tiger tanks!"

Season 5 was decent up untill the last 3 episodes. I'm considering all 3 episodes non canonical, mainly beacuse of what they did to Sarah. It was a massive **** slap to the fans of the show.

So i'd say tread with caution :/

Hmm I sense that massive amounts of the Idoit Ball may have been hand out... I will avoid these till a later date...

The only way i could see Miranda DLC working is if there was a built in guaranteed alternative if she's dead or unloyal. Something along the lines of She asks for help extracting some secret info from a Cerberus cell but Kaidan/Ashley ask you to help the Alliance recover the info. You choose who to help.

If she's already not loyal, wouldn't turning it into the Alliance make her even less loyal?

Am I the only one who thinks Prothy looks like he has Downs? I mean, he has those weird goat-looking eyes and that "duuuuurrrr" look on his face, at least in the art book. They should have just done away with the mouth and went for a more protoss-style facial structure.

I fully expect him to start drooling and slurring his words when he talks to me.

To quote Wheatley:

"Most test subjects coming out of extended hibernation usually suffer a minor case of severe brain damage"

The other thing I'm wondering is how exactly is anyone except Shepard going to understand him. Shepard has the Cypher that lets him comprehend the Prothean language, to others it would be like trying to hold a conversation with someone who spoke Latin as their first language.

On the whole Protoss subject I support Zeratul as a squadmate in ME3.
