It was time to retire Myradis Amell anyway. You'll have to identify my posts by my sig now. That won't change any time soon.
BTW, you do all notice that this picture is old, right? IIRC, it's taken from one of ME2's marketing pictures.

what do you guys think of Me3 so far? To me the gameplay is good, but im mainly excited to see the characters again. I really hope bioware dont screw up like they did with Da2.
Very worried about ability to roleplay my shep & not be being forced to endure a canon shep responses.
Very worried about Miranda's presence/role & the rest of ME2 team.
Combat looks fine.

I hope you realize that the shadowbroker know a LOT about cerberus.
And there is no proof she was TIM's right hand. She was just the operation chief instructed by TIM to find the body of shepard, to revive him, then to watch him in the mission against collectors on the normandy, after she betrayed him. There's no evidence she was his right's hand. ( since we need apparently absolute evidences to use our brains ).
The cutscene is not meant to be taken that seriously. I doubt that she is at her side, it's just the striking effect of cinematics.
Miranda is very obviously high up in the Cerberus ranks. Personally i'd much rather have Miranda who has known TIM for years and knows how he thinks. While some of her knowedlge may be out of date 6 months on, her knowedge of people and of how it functions shouldn't be.
While the shadow broker would have some info on Cerberus it really should be limited given the fact its a secretive rogue organisation.

This bears repeating.outmane wrote...
If your Shep took the paragon route and had Miranda with him/her then she gave the finger to TIM and Shepard is pretty much her only option to get involved in the Reaper war and try saving humanity.
If your Shep took the renegade route or if Miranda wasnt on the team for the final fight then she should be concerned about what happens with Cerberus in ME3.
Even if my canon FemShep and Miri had a 'rival' relationship in ME2, I hope to see an idealistic and strong Miranda (in other words still fighting for human dominance) in ME3 then a girl who lost her sense of priority and has for unique goal to save her sister. She needs to do better then that to keep Shep's respect.
@the above:
Those high heels are 500% more ridiculous that those in ME2.

Don't get me started on Liara becoming the SB? Who of the whole team - ME1 and ME2 - had the best experience and training for such a job? Yeah. Miranda.Sylvianus wrote...
No, the shadowbroker has more knowledge on cerberus, Miranda is useless. She is unable to tell me who sleeps with TIM, how many cigarettes he smokes. The shadowbroker knows many things about Miranda Herself.AgitatedLemon wrote...
And I don't know why you think squadmate = sidekick. She was Shepard's equal in ME2, she can do the same in ME3. She has more knowledge on Cerberus than anyone, including Liara, and excluding TIM. That alone should land her a more permanent presence. Instead, we get 2-3 conversations, 1 mission, and a romance continuation.
She may have useful information, but I doubt she has really critical information against TIM.
Liara is the new shadowbroker, So she has the human resources (spies) that had the previous shadowbroker who learned many things about Cerberus thanks to them. ( and other resources as well )
Also you aren't *seriously* arguing that a highly-ranked insider like Miranda who's been working for Cerberus for 20 years knows less of the organization than the SB? That's just bullsh*t. Whether you want to destroy Cerberus utterly or transform it into something like humanity's STG, Miranda's the woman to help you with the first if you can convince her or do it all by herself if you go for the latter.

It is impossible to say because we don't know the scenes, only some of the lines spoken. There could be several minutes of Miranda badassery in any scene and we wouldn't know. Also one of the most important scenes is missing completely.MassEffect4Eva1710 wrote...
I just want a rough estimate. Going by the leak how much time does Miranda have on-screen? I have heard ridiculous guesses that make me want to cry and I just want a real, no-joke estimate please.
We know that her story as evidenced in the leak appears to be almost exclusively about Oriana...again...and her contribution to Shepard's success on her mission comes about more or less accidentally. There will be more than that, for instance that missing very important scene and a contribution to the endgame we don't know anything about. How much more, and whether or not she keeps the big picture in sight and retains her ideals, that will make or break her presence in ME3. There can be no final judgment at this point, neither in its quality nor in its quantity.

The game will approximatly last 40 hours. Judging by the leak, Miranda would have two hours of screen presence.
Maybe three or four in the final product in which there should be more scenes with Miranda.
I'd like to think we'll have more but I don't want to put my high hopes on that for now.

Absolutely. That's why we've all been convinced Miranda will have a reasonably large role if she's present in ME3 at all. I thought Bioware might do more or less with that potential, but never did I imagine the possibility it could be *completely ignored*.outmane wrote...
You dont feel like Miranda's plot role has an influence on the way Shepard appreciate her? To me that has a big impact on their relationship. Cause even if I dislike her, I still need her. Whereas a character like Garrus, if I dont like him... then I dont need him. Its totally and simply personal.
Maybe that makes it more clear the diffrence i see between the 2 types of character.
Yet that's the picture painted by the leaked script.

There is first-hand evidence. In the leaked script. It may have been redacted since then since it presents problems in other areas, but it's pretty clear that Miranda was highly-ranked in Cerberus. Ah, and she says so herself in ME2: She's the one called on for "the most risky and technically demanding operations Cerberus undertakes." Clearly her knowledge is not limited to the Lazarus cell.Sylvianus wrote...

For someone who asks for evidence, you're pretty fast in dismissing it as meaningless once presented with it.The cutscene is not meant to be taken that seriously. I doubt that she is at her side, it's just the striking effect of cinematics.
@Thomgau:
It is impossible to make such an estimation based on the leak. It only takes a few minutes to speak all those lines. Add Shepard's part and you'll get 20 minutes. It all depends on how the scenes are orchestrated.

Agreed.
Also, I believe she will have more screen presence than most of the ME2 squadmates, but still, it's not enough imo.
What bothers me most is that two expendable characters from the ME2 squad will have more, even though they are relatively less important for the main plot .

I think they weren't. But if the demo is any indication, there won't be any "investigate" options in the game at all.Avy DiSartori wrote...
. The "investigate" options of dialogue weren't in the leaked script, were They? (since investigate never actually triggers new dialogue options). I'm saying this, because probably any information about cerberus might be in the investigate dialogue choices when talking to Miranda.. Edit: sorry for the spaces in the post.. I'm writing from my mobilejtav wrote...
Well, she refers to herself as TIM's 2IC in the leak, so there's that.
But my argument is mostly narrative. She needs to be involved with Cerberus the way Mordin is the genophage. And she isn't.
Just kidding. Well, half-kidding. With Bioware's latest history of actionized sequels, I feel unable to say which part of a game that slows down the action they're going to cut next.

That's what the kids like, action at all cost. Forget about the story, it's boring
It would be a shame if such a thing happened, I like my "investigate" options !

So very much. None of my favorites is on the ME3 team. I was starting my final ME2 playthrough yesterday and yes, it's bittersweet. For now. I'll wait with the berserker rage until the game is out. I hope I don't have to use my stockpile of tar and feathers.Spanky Magoo wrote...
Every time I come back here (particularly this thread) the miranda fan in me dies a little, maybe its time to put the poor thing out of his misery lol. Atleast we get a neat new avatar pic to remind us how were getting screwed, thanks bioware!
Im playing ME2 again and it seems bittersweet this time, knowing all of my favorite characters are getting benched/sidelined what have you. Anyone else experience this?
BTW, I can't say this new information that there won't be any temporary team members comes as a surprise. There was strong evidence for that in the leaked script, and they way they used Mordin and Wrex in the demo - particularly that utterly contrived way of keeping Wrex, of all people, out of the action - was the nail in the coffin of "temporary team member". It doesn't even bother me as such - Miranda can still have a good story and a large role - except that they're not beyond letting characters pop in and out of a mission for their interaction in - as I said - utterly contrived ways.
