not everything has to be so serious and "serious discussions about intellect" at all times, half the fun of a relationship is also playing around - that should be represented here, too.
I agree with this as long as it doesn't go too far...

which it hasn't, yet. still there's nothing wrong with being attracted to someone physically first - males are predominantly motivated visually anyway - i know i liked Miranda aesthetically before i spoke to her, then i liked that side too (and after she killed wilson - that was cool enough anyway).
i merely draw the line at bad slashfic.

Of course there's nothing wrong with that. And she wouldn't be the same were she not attractive. This little disagreement didn't start about sex, but about behaviour I'd find condescending. That it was also somewhat related to sex was coincidental.Jebel Krong wrote...

BTW, speaking about sex: are there ANY good maleShep/Miranda sex scenes in fanfic except for Elyvern's? From time to time I find myself browsing FFN, but it is always disappointing. MaleShep/Miranda fanfics tend to be rare in the first place. I wonder why.

As for why it's rare, Miranda is mostly romanced by men. Fanfic is written mostly by women.
And those that are written by men, usually seem to turn into their very own sexual fantasies about the character.
Oi well, I am don't read too fanfic too much anymore, maybe I try again after ME3, if Miri's in large enough role and we get a lot more info, that allows the fanfic people to try new kind of things.

Some of the best fanfics are ones that don't adhere to certain characteristics of the in-game characters... it's OOC yes, especially when it concerns Shepard but otherwise it's not that bad I think :-)
Anyway I've always entertained the idea of writing a MaleShep/Miranda fic myself but never got past drafting, and if I ever actually do it won't be during or immediately after the ME2 timeline, because this timeline feels like it belongs to Bioware it limits creativity.

What do you mean by the Ash thread growing for less than desirable reasons? What reasons?
Does this help:
I may have to start calling them:
"Miranda 1" and "Miranda 2" now. (said the Femshep in the helmet)
Ah yes, the redesign. I dont mind it too much, but I do find the other Ashley costume (the red and white one) rather jarring. That said, it would've been better off to leave her the way she was in ME1, and have a "Betty and Veronica" situation instead of a "veronica and Veronica" one. I do hope that what she is wearing isn't armor, or in the worst case scenario, it is light armor and can equip heavier stuff later in the game.
Regardless, Miri and Ash are my main romances, so I'll have 3 playthroughs, one of them just to see them duke it out. Who else is gonna do that?

It would be a little jarring, but not unbearable. Strahovski is wooden in spots, but she does contempt very well.

1. Casey tweeted Ashley will also have full armor and a helmet:
http://twitter.com/#...281509471076352
"Also lots of questions about Ashley. We've only showed her in a jacket outfit & its CE variant. She will also have full armor and helmet."
2. I will have imports including: Ashley exclusive, Miranda exclusive and Ashley then Miranda just to see how it goes.
'Duking it out' will just be a few comments + confrontation, really

I need no other, I don't really care for other LIs, well Ashley might be one I would consider. Still Miri has set the standard too high for me to settle for anything, but the best.

Miranda exclusive play through (ps3) where he's single in me1... (even though I hate missing out on some key figures like Gianna and Thorian part Shaila? Feros... among other minor characters missing...)
