Miranda's personality is what drew me to her, but I still like her arse. She's like Seven of Nine in Voyager for me in this respect.

some of you can be so prudish, i'm shocked, really - i expect the yanks to be like that, but not Europeans... :P

not everything has to be so serious and "serious discussions about intellect" at all times, half the fun of a relationship is also playing around - that should be represented here, too.

I agree with this as long as it doesn't go too far...

which it hasn't, yet. still there's nothing wrong with being attracted to someone physically first - males are predominantly motivated visually anyway - i know i liked Miranda aesthetically before i spoke to her, then i liked that side too (and after she killed wilson - that was cool enough anyway).
i merely draw the line at bad slashfic.

I have great respect for Miranda as a character. I love everything about her. Miranda even said she could live with "admiring her body" that's not what attracted me at first glance! :P Her strong Alpha female personality... her upbringing and how she conducts herself... I see similarities. I don't like her just because of her butt or boobs. (that's bioware's influence...shoving it into peoples faces) She is attractive and being a female myself I can relate to her and learn from her. I'm more of a follower than a leader and quiet but you can't be serious all the time. Lighten up and laugh a little...

And here I was about to say this character thread is one of the more serious ones [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]

Hey it still is, we got to where we are on mostly discussion into her character and hopes for ME3.

I know, and I don't mind it... /goes off to find the last issue of Fornax

Of course there's nothing wrong with that. And she wouldn't be the same were she not attractive. This little disagreement didn't start about sex, but about behaviour I'd find condescending. That it was also somewhat related to sex was coincidental.

BTW, speaking about sex: are there ANY good maleShep/Miranda sex scenes in fanfic except for Elyvern's? From time to time I find myself browsing FFN, but it is always disappointing. MaleShep/Miranda fanfics tend to be rare in the first place. I wonder why.

I wouldn't recommend that to anybody. It's OOC and stuffed with purple prose.

As for why it's rare, Miranda is mostly romanced by men. Fanfic is written mostly by women.

Rest assured: she will be in ME3. That at least has been confirmed.

And those that are written by men, usually seem to turn into their very own sexual fantasies about the character.

Oi well, I am don't read too fanfic too much anymore, maybe I try again after ME3, if Miri's in large enough role and we get a lot more info, that allows the fanfic people to try new kind of things.

Some of the best fanfics are ones that don't adhere to certain characteristics of the in-game characters... it's OOC yes, especially when it concerns Shepard but otherwise it's not that bad I think :-)

Anyway I've always entertained the idea of writing a MaleShep/Miranda fic myself but never got past drafting, and if I ever actually do it won't be during or immediately after the ME2 timeline, because this timeline feels like it belongs to Bioware it limits creativity.

@Reaperised Miranda

What do you mean by the Ash thread growing for less than desirable reasons? What reasons?

Does this help:

I may have to start calling them:

"Miranda 1" and "Miranda 2" now. (said the Femshep in the helmet)

Ah yes, the redesign. I dont mind it too much, but I do find the other Ashley costume (the red and white one) rather jarring. That said, it would've been better off to leave her the way she was in ME1, and have a "Betty and Veronica" situation instead of a "veronica and Veronica" one. I do hope that what she is wearing isn't armor, or in the worst case scenario, it is light armor and can equip heavier stuff later in the game.

Regardless, Miri and Ash are my main romances, so I'll have 3 playthroughs, one of them just to see them duke it out. Who else is gonna do that?

It would be a little jarring, but not unbearable. Strahovski is wooden in spots, but she does contempt very well.

If Yvonne doesn't return, that may drive me to Ash.

1. Casey tweeted Ashley will also have full armor and a helmet:

http://twitter.com/#...281509471076352
"Also lots of questions about Ashley. We've only showed her in a jacket outfit & its CE variant. She will also have full armor and helmet."

2. I will have imports including: Ashley exclusive, Miranda exclusive and Ashley then Miranda just to see how it goes.

'Duking it out' will just be a few comments + confrontation, really

If the game has enough of Miri in it for me to buy it, I sense my LIs for future playthroughs will go like: Miri, Miwi, Miwi, Miwi, Miwi, Miwi.............

I need no other, I don't really care for other LIs, well Ashley might be one I would consider. Still Miri has set the standard too high for me to settle for anything, but the best.

*rolls eyes* Men... and Miranda doesn't seem the type.

I have to agree with you here. Sometimes I feel like the odd man out when I read things like that. Not that that would be new...

I'm not the type that would do that either. Especially since she doesn't strike me as the type who'd like that sort of thing.

Ash = exclusive play through, Miranda and Ash... romance_for the conflict_ doing one for Liara exclusively in the later months when I get time off from work to do so...

Miranda exclusive play through (ps3) where he's single in me1... (even though I hate missing out on some key figures like Gianna and Thorian part Shaila? Feros... among other minor characters missing...)

Actually I'm hoping the new hair tech makes her hair look better

But if they can come up with an even better hair style for her, I would approve.
