Yep. Agreed on both counts - Ashley being the only serious contender and Miranda having no equal. Heh. There can be only oneMelrache wrote...
If the game has enough of Miri in it for me to buy it, I sense my LIs for future playthroughs will go like: Miri, Miri, Miri, Miri, Miri, Miri.............
I need no other, I don't really care for other LIs, well Ashley might be one I would consider. Still Miri has set the standard too high for me to settle for anything, but the best.
I almost fear what will happen should they make MIranda available for femSheps. For now my femSheps have more eclectic tastes - Kaidan, Jacob, Liara, and one with no LI.
*Going off to another ME2 playthrough* I wonder....has anyone else ever replayed both games for the sole reason they weren't quite content with the face of a Shepard?

I have to agree with you here. Sometimes I feel like the odd man out when I read things like that. Not that that would be new...jtav wrote...

I would'nt dare do anything like that. It is rather demeaning.

Yes. I felt quite petty for doing so.

My maleSheps, I never do a custom look. ShepLoo looks like enough of a BAMF for me to go with that (plus, if I didn't have glasses and was thinner, there might be a slight resemblance, albeit very slight). As for FemShep, I have yet to complete a playthrough, though I have aborted and deleted playthroughs to change the look (I created one yesterday on ME1 and unintentionally made her resemble Jennifer Garner, so naturally I went back and changed her first name to Jennifer).Ieldra2 wrote...

Well...I usually don't wait that late to go back
UIsually at the beginning when your involved in some dialogue is where I make the decision to go back or not. And I'm talking about Dragon Age here.
For ME: I play default Sheploo for male and usually get face codes for FemShep as I suck with the character creator in ME...<_<
And I must be one of the few who can see the 'tap on the butt' thing happening in private between the two
It's kinda cute!

Heh. Never understood the trouble people have with the CC, apart from finding good hairstyles and maleShep noses that don't look like radioactive vegetables from space.Vertigo_1 wrote...

I have four custom-made femSheps who all look good as well as distinct. Not quite as good with the maleSheps for there is a certain attractor face my creations tend to approach. So only two good-looking and distinct maleSheps. One looks ugly and the last looks too much like the first. Playing the second with a new face because formerly he used to look too much like the first as well.
BTW, it's been a long time since my last ME2 replay - the first encounter with Miranda has lost nothing of its impact. Especially with the high-res mod.

I don't get it either, I can make great character faces in the Dragon Age CC (1 and 2) but not so much for ME.
Plus I could never come up with something better than the default male; and female faces look kinda plastic to me. If they fix that for ME3 I'll definately make custom Sheps (FemSheps)

I really should start a new playthrough, last one was when Arrival came out and I made an album of Shepard and Miranda...that really burned me out.

I just tried Yannkee's graphics settings for the first time. My old machine couldn't handle them. What a striking difference. Almost all textures look crisp except characters in close-up, sharper contours on everything. Great! The only change I made was to re-enable dynamic shadows. There's a very slight yellowish tint now on everything that I don't like so much and don't know how to get rid of (can't see anything in the settings doing that), but at least Miranda's skin tone isn't as extreme anymore.
Combine with JeanLuc's high-res mod and Miranda looks better than ever.

Ah yes, I did that, too. Perhaps -1 instead of 0 (original is +1) is even better.Vertigo_1 wrote...
Yeah I like those settings too, but I turned down the brightness one or two notches:
The yellowish tint is from the disabled DepthOfField, which (disabled) lessens the shadow effects on Miranda's face so it will stay in.
Nice screenshots. Where are they from? And if you know how to enable a flycam, tell me, please!
@jtav:
I'm just starting. Here's the first Miranda screenshot and one of TIM:

I'll make more as I play.

meh i look lke a picasso, but i always use defaultshep because the face is better: it is the real face of shepard anyway. i also found playing me1 with a custom face to look like me was uncanny-valley distracting. haven't been able to complete a femshep playthrough in me2 because hale's VA is so awful in comparison (and i like her in other games).

You don't appear to have that yellowish tint. How did you get rid of it? Or is it just the location? In Miranda's romance scenes it actually bothers me.

As I said before all I did was reduce the brightness one or two notches
EDIT: went back to check; Brightness is at -1.
Can you put up a screenshot of the issue your having?

You can get rid of it by adjusting your monitor's saturation settings, experiment with it to find something that works.
