Exactly, Thats what makes it funny Miranda would never do anything like that.
Put you have to admit poking fun at character you love is half the fun of being a fan

Miranda is very protective when it comes to people she cares about.
This actually makes think about her relationship with Jacob. If you don't have Miranda talk to Oriana on her LM she really comes off as feeling like she's no good for her sister, that being around her would just hurt her in the end. So she distances herself from her all to keep her safe.
I wonder if the same thing applies with Jacob. He's a good man who's looking to fight for a cause, but Miranda's world is a lot more dangerous than what he's used to. If he stays close to her he could get hurt, or even die because of her so she pushes him away in order to keep him safe. Of course this leads to him having feelings of inadequacy with the whole "she needs a better man than I" line.
I sort of wish that there was some more character development between them if Shepard wasn't romancing either character in ME2. Sort of like Isabela and Fenris in DA2.

Oh absolutely! It's quite possible that something like this could have happened. It does make sense to me with what you've written.
We just don't know. I wished the writers elaborated on that more (their past relationship) but eh... a lost opportunity. We'll have to come up with our own ideas.
Miranda doesn't like discussing personal matters... evident. She's downright mad about having too.

Get a grip seriously, she's a virtual a character. Your obsession with her is rather insane.

As for being mad about having to discuss personal matters, I don't think that's the right term:
"I find myself in the unpleasant position of asking for your help. I don't like discussing personal matters... but this is important."
I'd rather say it makes her very uncomfortable to disclose parts of her personal life, particulary if it can interfere with a mission, but she doesn't hesitate should it be necessary.

Stop posting for the sake of posting. If there's nothing to say, there's nothing to say, and with all that spam you're driving people away because it's a chore to have to wade through pages of meaningless crap.

Well I tried starting topic someone else try I guess the only thing I'm wondering is why Miranda is so wrapped around Oriana, yes I know it's her sister but it's like her main focus
I think about it this way:
If Miranda isn't romanced, then Oriana is the only thing Miranda has, since she quit Cerberus. It only makes sense that she'd try her hardest to keep her safe from her father.
If Miranda is romanced, then she's still going to want to protect her sister, now she also cares for Shepard.
I Guess my problem with it the same as everyones I wish she was doing things more Cerberus oriented. I know it makes sence that she wants to protect Oriana and what not, but I like the character because She's brainy, she will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. She's also taken it upon herself to save humanity.
meh maybe I'm complaining
This is exactly what we've been complaining about since the leaked script came out in November. Incessantly, in fact - a significant part of the last 700 pages consists of complaining about it. And should her focus be almost exclusively on Oriana in ME3, well, I've already stockpiled rotten tomatoes, tar and feathers to apply to Bioware's writers.

Jacob is boring in comparison.
"I used to be in the Alliance, but I'm not going to tell you about it."
"I left the Alliance to join Cerberus, but I'm not going to tell you about it."
"I once saved the Citadel, but I'm not going to tell you about it."
"Already? I'm not big on forcing these talks Shepard."
"Lets spill some drinks on the Citadel."

I did a play through... taking everyone's suggestions. Didn't work out that well for them. Jacob in the vents. Miranda doing the biotic bubble and Jack leading the fire team because she didn't want Miranda doing it. hah! It was pretty sad watching all of them die from poor choices deliberately made.I even made tali and kasumi the fire team leaders.

Yeah That's why he rubs me the wrong way though the only time you even get glimps of his past is his loyalty mission.
Though back on to Miranda at least she's honest about who she is and about her past. Though she isn't the type to wear her heart on her sleeve, She does open up to certain people if she allows them to be close.

Maybe a pandasuit with a mohawk and a nerf armory of some sort.
Do they have a nerf turret gun?

Idd. He's alright character, don't understand why he's constantly brought up. There are far more annoying characters in the game. Jacob can be at times bit boring, but if you play male and don't see the romance scene, he's half decent most of the time.
