Both of them are healthy adults. It's more than obvious that they had sex.

Things may fell apart when Jacob wanted more, but Miranda was being too focused in Lazarus too think in a true relationship, so she just said that she wasn't the right woman for that and that it wasn't the right time.

At least, that's my headcanon.

Well Shepard1038, when people are in romantic relationships, sex is a part of that. Do you honestly think there was no sex involved between the two of them? I suppose Miranda was a virgin before Shepard as well. Lol.

Normally, we would say that Miranda approaches sex casually, correct? Her dossier seems to suggest that as well as what she says about her looks.
However, with Shepard it took a certain amount of time. Why was that?
 Regardless if you choose the Paragon or Renegade path, Shepard seems to be more than ready after the second romantic conversation.

IMO, it was because she was dealing with certain feelings she had never experienced before. This is hinted at in the "Promise me" scene. Miranda can understand wanting to blow off some steam but not what she was feeling for Shepard. Couple that with the fear of him dying and well...

I agree, I bet it was a different feeling for Miranda waiting in the engine room for shep to show.

I always took the engine room scene as Miranda attempting to show a little levity before she and Shepard had to face the prospect of dying on the SM.

I really don't think by the time Lazerus rolled around they were in romantic relationship. If Miranda really could'nt keep her spur's from jinglin' and janglin during the 2 years, any sex was casual. From what I gleamed in ME2 Jacob still has feeling's for Miranda beyond the casual. The fact that miri and jacob's past is even mentioned in his convo's is evidence enough for me, with some Bioware character's what they say is not always what they feel.

That being said, I still say Miranda is smart enough and aware enough of his feeling's, at this point in time not to mess with him like that. I mean even if miri said "Jacob, this sex is casual. You understand the concept?" Jacob would not be able to help himself, im sure of it, It take some hell of a will not to. he'd be like "Yes Ma'am, this can be pity sex for all I care" when really he's thinkin man I hope this is makeup sex. Any misadventures that went down between the two happened during the end of that Galaxy IPhone game when she showed up at his place with wine.

If Miranda's loin's are burnin so bad, she should of took a random physically attractive personel on the station have her way then kick him off the station for some made up infraction. To keep him from spreading it around. That is the more well thought out plan i know Miranda could think of.

Or maybe im way off, and Jacob does understand the concept of just getting the prize, the lack of hard evidence i suppose means we can all just interpert it the way we see fit.

Miranda probably never slept with anyone for a mission, and I suspect she has had very, VERY few sexual encounters, let alone lovers due to how socially awkward she is, the fact that she has very little time for herself due to the pressures of her work, and...well, just look at LotSB and you'll see what I mean.

You'd be surprised. There was debate about that in the early days of the first Miranda thread two years ago. But yeah, it was one person in two years who argued in that direction, testament enough for the craziness of the idea on the internet I guess.

I say that was a presentation failure. I'd be more inclined to believe it if we encountered any situation where that applied in ME2, if her outfit were classy and alluring and if she didn't wear it into combat.

As for having used sex to get a mission done, I think she's perfectly capable of that, but in most cases using allure would be quite enough. It is, after all, the prospect of sex rather than sex itself which is the femme fatale's weapon. In most stories featuring the type, it never comes to more than an unvoiced promise.
