Yeah Ashley has moments where she wasn't the nicest. And maybe she deserves some payback. But I don't think she's irredeemable or deserves constant abuse.

To be completely fair, Kaidan has the same exact problem. In ME1, they were both pretty likeable (Even if Kaidan was boring to me), then in ME2 (And continued into 3, imo) they turn into major douches.

For Ashley, at least it sort of fits her. For Kaidan, it's just... weird.

Well seeing as how they became counterparts of one "character-spot" I guess they'd have to act similarly. Though it is more jarring for Kaidan. I would even say out of character but I really don't know enough about the dude to claim that.

They don't really need to be all that similar. They were different enough in ME1. It only got bad in ME2 when they tried to make them twins of each other in terms of rationale and thought process.

It wouldn't bother me so much if the shift wasn't so sudden and lacking in meat. It literally shifts from-

"Yo, Shepard!" to "You're a traitor, Shepard."

And it's continued into ME3. Of course, you can change all that, but the damage has been done already.

I'm wondering which romance I should do first Miri or Ash?

Miranda. For me and my Shepards, Miranda is the only woman for them.

I haven't read Ashley's romance, but can anyone tell me how it continues into ME3? Without the knowledge, it just seems weird for Ashley to go from "I don't trust you" to "I love you".

Because they were distinct in ME1. But as soon as we chose between them, the survivor had to fill the same role in subsequent games.

But certainly, it's poorly written. The Horzion thing anyway. I'll have to see how Ashley acts in ME3.

If you romanced her before.... Things will be different  for you on mars, and right up until a certain point in the game. Then Ashley's romance goes from being, exclusively straight, to all gendered. And the romance jams together to suit all players near the end.

If you're a big Miranda fan, you should probably romance her first. Even though there will probably be certain points in the game that'll frustrate the life out of you. And you'll be like: "Really Bioware!? But ...Tali.... FUUU--"

Ashley romance is better than Miranda's. At least she has the reconciliation talk and her romance does have a culmination (love scene, whatever you wanna call it).

Miranda doesn't get to be a squad member like Tali. And despite everything Tali is doing and involved in. She can just drop everything and come along. FAN SERVICE

Which I think is complete BS, seeing as how none of the ME2 romances get one. Not even a forehead bump.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not with that last sentence, but I'll bite...

Yeah, I'm no fan of Tali's sudden importance (Team dextro in general, actually) and the logic behind her being on the squad.

I liked how the artist portrayed her, with his/her words "strong and fragile at the same time."

No sarcasm here. I've been in a dull mood lately.

I refuse to take the leak as absolute but I don't feel like ranting on it again for the moment. So if you want to look at it in terms of what you're missing, I would say a healthy dose of rational doubt.

I mean it literally. We will see in less than two weeks and counting.

I know. Hence my "The logic behind her being on the squad" bit. I just wasn't fussing about it. I despise the fact that Tali gets a free pass onto the team (In spite of having no relevance or purpose whatsoever in ME2, and only minor relevance in ME1), while people like Miranda are getting passed up.

Same goes to Garrus, too.
