Not that I'm agreeing that Miranda was originally intended to be nothing more than "cheat bait", but ME2 had been out for a year before coming out on the PS3. They may not have expected so many of us to ultimately fall for her.

You could tell by her character design that Miranda was originally intended to be cheat bait, at least to a certain extent.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of her character and romance. I had never expected that she would become my favorite video game character.

I first played ME2 on the Xbox 360 2 years ago, when ME2 was Brand New. I fell for Miri quite possibly even before getting the game qhile seeing her on a TV Spot and on YouTube.

On October of that same year, I played ME1 for the first time. I STAYED LOYAL to Miri:wub:.
Now I play on the PC.

To think this was TWO years before we met her and fell for her in ME2. This was when she was Cerberus all the way. Cold....and ruthless....., but the Miri I know and love was still in there somewhere, inside, and it is let out in ME2:wub:.

This picture makes it look like she's part of an evil organization. It's quite uncomfortable.

I'm just talking about the picture. It makes me feel.....uneasy.

The two people behind her look....evil, as if she's part of some evil organiziton.

Cerberus has tortured people, though (Admittedly, Teltin wasn't under TIM's supervision at the time)

I think it was the point. Faced with the prospect of losing the man she loves, the usually logical and rational Miranda shows a completely different side. It made the romance more emotional.
