I'd say that about sums up the general response to the whole scene.

Perhaps they are doing that. But as long as that isn't compounded by giving Miranda a Horizon-like cameo (and it isn't), I don't mind. In fact, my main Shepard wouldn't mind a little affair on the side, as long as it's clear he isn't after a long-term commitment. Unlike with Miranda.enayasoul wrote...
What makes you think they are not doing that again??? Tempting you with these new ridiculous love interests in ME3?redBadger14 wrote...
If anything, BioWare tempted those who played ME1 to abandon their ME1 romances for those in ME2.

She does Lemon, I agree with you
In this case, yes. Because you get to know quite a bit of Miranda to know if she's interesting before the ass shots ever come up. But generally, I'd say that a woman's looks are what first attracts a man, because you usually notice it before you get to know anything else about her. Appreciation of her other qualities usually comes later. So if someone says "I started something with her because she looks great, and only then came to notice how interesting she is", that's totally OK as far as I'm concerned.redBadger14 wrote...
We don't mean that literally. Figure of speech. Only reason we say that is because romancing Miranda for "dat ass" is a little immature and silly, no?MegaBadExample wrote...
Oh, my god, you people. "Scum of the Earth." Seriously? You'd go that far?
You do know it's a game, right? And people can make their own choices in that game.

Those gaurds were beating that prisoner for the sake of doing it, thats different than torturing for vital info.
Seems like you talking more about physical beating which I'm sure she could do but it would be more of an ultimate last resort no other option scenario.
Whatever is necessary to get the job done. How else do you think she became a top agent in Cerberus.

She wouldn't let others do her dirty work if she wasn't convinced they could do it better. And I agree with MisterJB (that becomes a pattern) that she'd exhaust all other options first, but would be willing to torture someone if she considers the information important enough.

Those guards on the Purgatory were kicking the crap out of that guy because it's a "massage compared to what his victims received", or something or other, if I'm not mistaken. I just know I always tell him to lay off for the free paragon points.

I'm sure an entity like Cerberus has some of the best interrogator's around that Miri would be willing to let someone else take over that aspect of the mission.
Proof that the white outfit can look better than in the game. :/husky husk wrote...

I'm not so sure. Miranda has always been implied to have a control complex, at least to a degree. She would likely do it herself, unless she knew there was someone better than her, which there likely isn't.
On that, I don't think she'd torture as a first option. If there's a less brutal but still viable option, she'd probably attempt that first. If all else fails, then torture would come right up. Of course, it would also depend on how vital the information is that she's trying to receive.

You actually *like* that? That's indicative of one main problem I have with these outfits, that they're so ridiculously close-fitting, like painted-on, actually, that it's impossible to see them as protective in combat.

I say "There likely isn't" because Miranda herself acknowledges that she's better than everyone else at... everything. She very well could be better versed in various effective ways to torture people, even if she doesn't like doing it.
