Since it won't let me edit this in, I'll leave it here

I'd say that about sums up the general response to the whole scene.

If anything, BioWare tempted those who played ME1 to abandon their ME1 romances for those in ME2.

What makes you think they are not doing that again??? Tempting you with these new ridiculous love interests in ME3? :alien:

Perhaps they are doing that. But as long as that isn't compounded by giving Miranda a Horizon-like cameo (and it isn't), I don't mind. In fact, my main Shepard wouldn't mind a little affair on the side, as long as it's clear he isn't after a long-term commitment. Unlike with Miranda.

Somewhat off topic: Just had a listen to Nielsen's fifth. My goodness, Miranda has amazing taste in music.

Oh, my god, you people. "Scum of the Earth." Seriously? You'd go that far?

You do know it's a game, right? And people can make their own choices in that game.

We don't mean that literally. Figure of speech. Only reason we say that is because romancing Miranda for "dat ass" is a little immature and silly, no?

In this case, yes. Because you get to know quite a bit of Miranda to know if she's interesting before the ass shots ever come up. But generally, I'd say that a woman's looks are what first attracts a man, because you usually notice it before you get to know anything else about her. Appreciation of her other qualities usually comes later. So if someone says "I started something with her because she looks great, and only then came to notice how interesting she is", that's totally OK as far as I'm concerned.

No one at all. I'm more of a heavy metal/rap guy but I can appreciate good classical music

Those gaurds were beating that prisoner for the sake of doing it, thats different than torturing for vital info.

Seems like you talking more about physical beating which I'm sure she could do but it would be more of an ultimate last resort no other option scenario.
Whatever is necessary to get the job done. How else do you think she became a top agent in Cerberus.

If I remember correctly they thought he knew something in regards to.. something. then you talk to prisoner #780 and he stats: "Na, he don't know nothing." That implies they were indeed looking for some sort of info
(eve tho said info did not exist accourding to #780. But that never stop's an interrogator from proceeding, just to be sure.) no matter how vital it may or may not be. My point remains. But u are right tho, beating a prisoner for the sake of doing it is what you can become when you cross some lines.

"Seems like you talking more about physical beating"

no, i was trying to talk about torture in my earlier post not just school yard shenanigans. But I do have trouble expressing my thoughts via written form. I apologize. thats why theres no FifthFreedom FanFiction. (I tend to ramble on if you have not noticted)
also physical beating can be a vital part of torture.

"Whatever is necessary to get the job done."

I agree, that sounds like miri. im not saying Miranda was above using enhanced interrogation techniques. I just think she would get some one beneath her on the Cerberus totem pole to do it. Even it's just as simple as she does'nt want to get her hand's dirty... hmmm... I could of just said that from the start instead of a wall of text o well... I wasted time writing it might as well post it.

Those guards on the Purgatory were kicking the crap out of that guy because it's a "massage compared to what his victims received", or something or other, if I'm not mistaken. I just know I always tell him to lay off for the free paragon points.

She wouldn't let others do her dirty work if she wasn't convinced they could do it better. And I agree with MisterJB (that becomes a pattern) that she'd exhaust all other options first, but would be willing to torture someone if she considers the information important enough.

I'm sure an entity like Cerberus has some of the best interrogator's around that Miri would be willing to let someone else take over that aspect of the mission.

I'm not so sure. Miranda has always been implied to have a control complex, at least to a degree. She would likely do it herself, unless she knew there was someone better than her, which there likely isn't.

On that, I don't think she'd torture as a first option. If there's a less brutal but still viable option, she'd probably attempt that first. If all else fails, then torture would come right up. Of course, it would also depend on how vital the information is that she's trying to receive.

I really wish the white outfit had a slight belly button outline, like the black does.

You actually *like* that? That's indicative of one main problem I have with these outfits, that they're so ridiculously close-fitting, like painted-on, actually, that it's impossible to see them as protective in combat.

"Which there likely isn't"

Buddy come on, I know Miranda is a talented woman but im sure their;s people in Cerberus who have tortured more suspects than Miranda's been called a b!tch.

Zaeed, and i quote:
"No one walk's away from tourture unchanged not the subject, not the torturer himself
"never found torture worth the price myself"

Coming from a man like Zaeed that's telling.

Miranda is to some degree a control freak. But to go to the point where she would say "no you can't handle this interrogation " to Cerb's best guy for the job then her feeling's and arrogance are showing when on a mission, they should not.

I'd go as far to say that Tim being a smart man himself would recognize that torture is an.... unique experience and would order Miranda to have someone else do the torturing as to not change Miranda into somthing she is not, and that is Kai Leng crazy.

I say "There likely isn't" because Miranda herself acknowledges that she's better than everyone else at... everything. She very well could be better versed in various effective ways to torture people, even if she doesn't like doing it.

I'm not going to touch this. It isn't going to go anywhere productive.

I'm just going to say that I'm willing to suspend my belief for Mass Effect, as I am with any other SciFi. To me, it's honestly not the least realistic thing in this series.

You're entitled to your opinion.

You think Miranda feel's she is better than Shepard at using her word's to prove her views?
Do you think she belives she's better than Legion at computing Pie to a thousand place's
Is she better than Tali at all things electronic?

If she does, than my thoughts on her are shaken to the core and she is so very arrogant it fills me with an urge to
deficate <---- internet points to who ever can tell me where "fill's me with an urge to deficate" come's from!
