What I do not like about is that it isn't obvious that the whole entire Ipartner thing happened in the past ( so alot of people can be mistaken for thinking that she is pursuing these hook ups while Shepard is pursuing her ). The whole entire thing also seems very un-neessary, I mean do we really learn anything about Miranda from the whole entire Ipartner thing. The SB dossiers are all fun little easter eggs for all of the characters for all of the ME2 characters and it feels like they seem to get that extra bit of character development, well everyone except Miranda, her entry seemed more like a blatant attemp at character assassination or making a joke at the characters expense.

Not exactly. There's obviously one sucessful "pairing" or at least one that goes beyond the chat room stage:
"Apartment block D, #221 21:30"
Cleary not aboard the Normandy at this stage, or Lazarus Station. So it had to be pre ME2.

I would argue that you do learn something from it. Like you said in the first part of your post it seems logical for Miranda to do dating that way given her position and nature. Furthermore looking at the chatlogs themselves it's clear she only wants strong medically cleared individuals. She doesn't research them they way she did that guy Oriana was talking about, she only wants med records. Why?  I personally think she's looking to get pregnant more so than getting in a relationship. Why do it that way and not just go to a sperm bank? Well for one it's more pleasurable and I don't see her denying herself that if it doesn't interfere with her goals. Also going to a sperm bank leaves a distinct record that you want a kid, whereas if you just hookup with someone online that's less clear, even if you do show up with a kid 9 months later. Maybe she thinks she's still being tracked by Lawson?

Anyway I think the logs accomplish their goals well: driving the point home that pre-ME2 Miranda is nothing if not ruthlessly efficient. Furthermore (with the exception of the Oriana chat)  it establishes a personal goal she had prior to the game. Maybe she's a bit obsessed with creating/giving life and (as much as I hate to go there) that could be part of the reason she accepted the Lazarus job.

 I've been following this thread for a quite while now, but only just got around to making a profile now, i had one a while ago but it somehow got deleted, anyway, Miranda's my romance and favorite female character , I understand some people have read the dialogue from the romances and say Miranda's is shorter compared to the permanent squad mates , I'm not looking for spoilers, but could someone please tell me Miranda's romance is satisfying ?

Some people like it, some people don't, that's the best way to put it.

As far as I know, it's satisfying as long as you can overlook the fact that other romances have quite a bit more content and length.

Ah, fair enough , I have one play through where I romanced only Ashley so I'll be able to see what was cut out of the non squaddies romances, it's shame not every romance could get as much attention

The romance was finished when BW  devs said "Let's sideline every character from ME2, make a 5 lines dialogue romance for them and that's all we need. Now, we need to focus on Liara's romance, and make sure Shepars builds a home for Tali."

Why would there be? Mass Effect is about exploring a rich galaxy full of intresting species and characters. Not a dating simulator.

I like the leather jacket, but the hoodie looks good too.
