Fictional romances being mistreated is a lot like Hitler, so I hear.

F*ck this sh*t, I won't even get ME3 illegally. It isn't even worth the space it'll occupy in my HDD.

Wow! That spoiler must be REALLY bad! I'm not gonna read it so tell me: how bad is it on a scale of 1 to 10? Just so I know how bad it really is or if people are just overreacting again.
I just readed the spoiler. It wasn't that bad imo.
I expected worse.

The flashback is just one scene ffs. Its not integral to anything. I'm not saying BW weren't lazy, its just that people need to maintain some sense of perspective.
These hysterics are beneath you people.

I'm sure the more rabid members of this thread will disagree with me, and I'm not saying they're completely wrong, they just need to...look at the bigger picture. Miranda is in the game. She gets a full romance arc. This scene doesn't change much of a muchness in the game.

*shrugs* That's of course only something everyone can say for themselves, I don't think it is.

5 lines of romance dialog now counts as a 'full romance arc'?
No wonder Bioware thought that they could get away with their laziness. Also, not gonna elaborate, but even the 'best' ending sucks major donkey badoinkdoinks. So you can only imagine how bad the 'worst' ending will be.

Canon friends will always limit roleplaying. Would it not leave you scratching your head if you spent three games adoring Liara and then when your Shepard is thinking of someone important in his life a picture of Grunt comes up?
The issue isn't Miranda exclusive it impacts all other romance options except for three.

Whatever weed Bioware was smoking at that time was probably some strong sh*t.

Edit: I'm cool with downer endings, fwiw. This is a pretty grim tale really, giant machines that harvest the galaxy of all organic life and all that. A happily-ever-after would really stick in my craw.

I may even have to do a retcon with my main ManShep and go back to Liara (who he was with in ME1) from this, I don't think I can bear to see what little they've done for Miri - seriously, seriously disappointed right now.

Sure it does. I'm not saying it doesn't. I'm saying the broader impact of that is negligible. One scene breaks my immersion, woop-de-do. Bioware are worse than Hitler, cancel my preorder, pirate the game...the fark?
I never said any of that stuff nor endorse it. I just think it is a black eye on roleplaying that is worth quite a bit of criticism. People still complain about Horizon and this arguably x10 worse and more important, so I don't think it will be negligible.

It's not just one scene, it's a culmination of factors throughout the months that made us realize just how screwed we really were. And they were they were throwing out lies the whole damn time without batting an eyelid. BTW, it's not so much the 'scene' that pisses me off, it's the fact that NO MATTER what you do, you're still screwed either way. That's the straw that broke the camel's back.
Made all the right choices? SCREWED.
Made all the wrong choices? TRIPLY SCREWED.

Lol, no chance. To be honest I get the feeling that the whole "secrecy" as such around Miranda, from almost all at BW (not naming names) is all because of embarassment, frankly. Call me judgemental as I haven't seen the "new" spoilers but thats IMO.
Such a major cop out, instead of enjoying or being happy at seeing this conclusion of sorts I'll just be angry more than anything at my main ManShep/Miri's romance. Good job I've got 4-5 alternative Sheps with different options...

So we're on the downward spiral again?
This thread has been a downward spiral for months. Quite a bit of people are over emotional. I find it hard to have a discussion here usually.

Err...Maybe y'all should just wait until the full game is released and see whether things really turned out so badly? Or wait and look at some reviews before actually buying the game? I don't think getting worked up will do you any good. It's bad for your health, y'know.
Well, that would be nice...apart from the fact that someone who went through all the effort to pick up a Space Edition early run copy has trumped that by going spoiler-crazy.
Correct me if I'm wrong on this but thats the reasoning I got from the last few pages - so no that suggestion really isn't that valid tbh.
