wow, that fells like a kick in the quads.

So Miranda romance gets screwed as a mail/messages long distance relationship. That almost confirms my theory about her not having a culmination.

Well you still get to see her on the Citedal as well as do a mission but shes not gonna be as accessible as the other squadies

FFS. Last night I was slowly reconciling myself with all the problems. I was planning to keep a save from just before the end, so after I see it once I could reload and have an open-ended experience.

But now you are telling me we don't even have easy access for generic dialogue (like with Anderson in ME1 or Liara in ME2)? So after the last scene you have no chance to see her again at all?

You get some emails, work with her in a mission late in the game which also happens to take care of a personal problem she had been having and then it seems she isn't seen.

Probably takes part in the battle for Earth though.

All ME2 romances don't get much screentime, it shouldn't be surprising at this point.

I was not surprised about the lack of content, but the fact that you cannot even wander into her office and get a generic "I am tying up some loose ends" line...

I have really been trying to stay positive, but every thing I hear (leaks, squad list, day 1 DLC, origin, endings, screentime) just makes me sadder and sadder.

Okay so for what it's worth, I think I saw a file along the lines of "citwrd_miranda_talk3_culm_Int.afc", sounds like some kind of culmination to me..

Cautiously optimistic, but I'm still not expecting much.

Thanks. We'll see in a few days (or in one week in my case, grr). BTW I don't think you need spoiler tags for that.

I feel you pain, damn European release:(. I'm going to call Gamestop every day next week to know if they'll break the dayone as they did with ME2. Expecially because I don't want to lose the N7 Warfare Gear.

Word is everyone is "Zaeeded", i.e. outside of scripted scenes, they have only Zaeed-style communication, if any. Nobody has generic dialogue, not even the team members.

And we do not know where the last scene where we see her in person takes place. In particular, we don't know if we see her again after her mission or we only get a conversation by vidcomm.

From what I understood from Xoi's post, we got dialogues with the squadmates like in ME and ME2 after some of the main mission. All the other time they have Zaeed-type of dialogues. (I remember that he said how many dialogues Liara, Garrus, Vega and VS have).

Yeah, the last few months have seen a steady lowering of expectations. Still, I could've gotten something out of it all until the ending was leaked. That's finally broken the camel's back, and not even because of Miranda. I still have to see for myself of course, but chances are no work of fiction will ever have delivered such a punch in the gut to me after its creators promised a satisfying ending.

Ok, I will keep hoping. It might sound strange, but even knowing that there was the possibility of popping into the citadel and getting a Zaeed  style dialogue would be tolerable. Otherwise you know after her mission that is it. Finito. (Except possibly the endgame, but as I said I plan to pretend the endings never happened).

Better be safe than sorry right :P It's definitely real, just don't know what it actually contains.

The irony is I'd be livid about what I'm hearing about Miranda's role if the endings hadn't taken the wind out of my sails so completely. Now, "restore Miranda's idealism" is just an item on the checklist. I'll probably take Ieldra's advice and add stuff, but it's impossible for me to view the characters as characters. What shows up on my screen on Tuesday won't be Miranda, but a construct BW is manipulating.

And there goes suspension of disbelief. Bravo Bioware!

FWIW, while I'm not quite at that point - I'll still be glad to see Miranda again and be able to talk with her - I agree problems with her characterization pale into insignifance in the light of recent revelations. I'll write my own epilogue. Possibly I'll spend the time I'd have otherwise spent with repeated playthroughs writing a more complete after-the-Reapers story.

Oh, I'll be happy to see her and talk with her too. I'll incorporate anything I find useful/interesting/romantic into my headcanon. No more Eldfells. And there will be lines that make me melt into a puddle. But I'll always be going "What would the real Miranda be doing here?" I can't hold anything against the character I fell for because it's now abundantly clear that BW will sacrifice lore, characterization, and logic in pursuit of their chosen outcome. The very things I held to as a fanfic writer. Well then. I'm under no obligation to follow them off the cliff. I'll do better.

Yes, your fanfics have always been exceptionally consistent with the lore and the characters. That's why I appreciate even those I don't quite like.

Ah..and to remind everyone that Miranda is still awesome....

Yep. Miranda is still awesome. I had the LM debrief yesterday and the love and pride with which she speaks of Oriana still makes me go all gooey. And, in the very next conversation, she envies the STG. That's my girl. That will always be my girl.

Hey guys, been a while since I've visited the Miranda thread! So the new Launch Trailer just released and I was analysing it thoroughly (as I always do) and I kind of had a thought. At the 00:50 second mark you see a woman with an omni-tool. She looks very similar to Miranda (her clothing as well as her hair color, etc) and I got the feeling that she might be Orianna. Anybody else think this might be her? :D

Gotta be. The outfit is nearly identical to Mirandas. I'd say it'd be MIranda if the hair wasn't so short.

Why does Miranda got only so little screentime in the trailers, dammit. :(

It would be GREAT it is Miri. I mean, look at the Outfit. It reminds me of her Standard ME2 Outfit, and the gloves look similar.

My only issue is the facial structure it's kinda different. Then again, it IS a fast camera shot....sooo it a fast Camera shot, not too much detail is put on a CGI Model, because it's fast.

If it is Miri than BioWare had enough time to give her a redesign. She did appear to have shorter hair in the FemShep Trailer right?

It's not Miranda. That's not the white outfit. It might be Kahlee Sanders.

Exactly what I thought.
