He's basing it on pessimism. Up until today, I did not believe Miranda would get a romance scene.
Now, there are two different sources claiming there will be more interactions with ME2 LIs outside of their respective missions.
There is still, of course, the very real possibility that Miranda is excluded from this but, right now, we don't know one way or the other. We don't even know what the true love variable changes...if anything.

It changes something, otherwise it'd not be there, they'd have made do with the "romanced" flag and that's it.

Gameplay wise I expect fun but story resolution wise I have tempered my expectations for Miranda and...well all the characters I came to enjoy given how things look (if you believe eveything you read around here)

As much as it saddens me...yeah, it's probrably EVA wearing a meat suit. Even the facial features look similar.
Bad enough that Miranda didn't get a redesign, now she even has to share her outfit.

Due for some Ash comments, now they are: Miranda, Jack and Ash.

And I agree with JB. about that girl being EVA. You'll know it in 4 days (a week for me). Or maybe someone could ask Xoi in the general spoiler group.

Because that's the one she wears in all of the concept art/trailers/demo footage etc.

All of the advertising of ME2 had Miranda in her white suit, and her white is the default. Ergo, the "iconic" look.

No, I like the hexagonal pattern more than the glossy black.

I actually haven't noticed a lot of SciFi using tesselating shapes for patterns...

It looks like we're being set up to be royally screwed as both ME and Miranda fans. I'm retreating into fanfic. They are deliberately destroying everything I love about this universe. I don't have to follow.

I wouldn't mind an unloyal Miranda dying. What I would mind very much is a setup where she's unloyal by default, so that players who don't import have no chance to make her survive. That would tell me they want her dead and that their secret canon has her dead, and I'd let them know my opinion about that in no uncertain terms.

And don't tell me there is no canon. That's bullsh*t of the highest order. The endings tell a different story. *spoiler* Canonically, Shepard destroys the Reapers, taking the relays with him (!), and is killed doing that. The execution of the endings proves that everything else is an afterthought. That's the only scenario where the ending scenes and the framing epilogue make any sense.*end spoiler*

I came across talk of the rumoured endings by accident (no really)  and that has sapped some of my energy/enthusiasm.

I know it's a game...getting emotionally invested in computer game characters would make most folk go  but really -  seeing how Dragon Age went, playing the Old Republic and the way this is going...the words 'illusion of choice' seems to resonate more with me these days

I'll just binge on Tetris again. Plenty of good emotional attachment there.

I felt horrible seeing Steve the blue S-block explode (And all of the other blocks in his row) after I spent so much time getting to know him.

Steve the block lived a full and happy life Lemon...that should give us some comfort


Amidst the negativity and rumours swirling around here etc I still hold out hope that shepard and miranda can be alive/well and together at the end.   We don't know everything...I think
