Oh, I can absolutely see her having kids. But I see her transitioning away from spy work and into science/some kind of executive position when that happens. I think she'd be bored otherwise.

Word. I don't see her fading into quiet colony life kids or not.

wow, Judging from the views and replies for this thread, Miranda is a lot more popular than I had expected.

While Miranda seems to envy the normal life she's made possible for her sister, I think she's far too ambitious to settle for that herself. She likes being challenged, she likes attempting the impossible, and she likes putting her gifts to good use, however conflicted she might be about how she got them.

I think Miranda is a woman for the extraordinary, not the normal. I can see her having children and taking it somewhat slower for two decades, which would mean a job with a little more stability, but I can also see her taking up more dangerous work again once the children are grown-up. She'll live for a very long time and will have time for many things.

And....just imagine how experienced Miranda will be at an age of, say, 100. Whatever she does, with her gifts and that kind of experience she'll be a formidable force.

I think a bit of it is the fact that the other character threads are still quite active on the ME2 board. Ironically Miranda's thread transitioned completely despite her having arguably the least amount of ME3 news so far.

One does hope so.:)

I'd put her at No. 2 after Tali.  I also think she's much more controversial here on the forums than elsewhere, though I have no evidence to show for it except that old Valentine's Day poll.

I wonder, though, where all the Talimancers have gone. They used to have the most traffic in their thread.

@strive:
All the ME2-only LIs have about the same amount of information - nothing except "They will be in ME3". The only exception is Jack, but even there it's nothing more than "she'll get a redesign".

Jack-redesign/hair -- didn't Casey say "she has calmed down"
Garrus-confirmed squad status
Tali-confirmed squad status
Miranda-will be in ME3
Jacob-will be in ME3

Not anything to complain about I agree, but Miranda and Jacob have gotten the least amount of news.

edit: Forgot about Thane. He is on par with Miranda and Jacob..

Don't forget Thane. Also nothing. And they seemed to imply Jacob wouldn't have a large role with the whole "nobody liked him."

I'm thinking Miranda is a temp or reluctant antagonist. One does hope that some ME2-only squad members come back.

@strive:
I was talking about the ME2-exclusive team members. Which excludes Garrus and Tali. And the rest are more or less on the same information level. Hmph. I hate Garrus and Tali.

@jtav:
I hope they won't go the reluctant antagonist route with Miranda. I can't see that ending well regarding interaction and screen presence. Not unless she's with us for longer after she's thrown off her shackles.

  Some ME2 only squad mates have to comeback. We deserve that for having them live through the Suicide mission. I think Grunt has a good chance of coming back, and same with Miranda. Miranda is loyal to shepard and quit Cerberus on my walkthrough, there's not much of a reason for her to disappear when we're actually fighting the reapers. I do not want to see her as a temp squadmate. Plus her knowledge of Cerberus will be very helpful in bringing them down. She pretty much has to be a permanent squadmate in ME3.

Ahh my mistake. I thought you meant "ME2 specific romances" not characters. I like Garrus and Tali as characters/companions. I hate their romances for a lot reasons, mainly the obvious fanservice.

I don't see them making a LI an antagonist. They've done that in the past and it wasn't received to well.

Has it been said what year Me3 starts in? Are we in the next year? Or same. They said something about after the end of Me2... 6-12 months. It would make more sense if they had followed a year later or two?

I am curious because of how long Miranda and Shep had before the trial together. :unsure:

They said it would be 2-3 months after Arrival, IIRC. So Miranda and Shepard have some time together. Interesting though that there are no fanfics covering that time. It's a nice time to place a self-contained story involving a little romance in.

It makes much more sense for me to play Arrival after a few months after taking out the collectors.  Given how that it's being used to lead into Shepard's trial.

Yeah, I've noticed that too.  It's either fanfics are during the game or after the Reapers defeat.

That's actually what I have been doing in my spare time.  Writing in my version of what happens in between.  It's been interesting to say the least. :whistle:

But probably not as exciting what Bioware has planned.  I have to hand it to them... they make you want to write your version of the story... at least it is for me.  So much lore and backstory to the whole universe. :D

I <3mass effect!  I'm such a nerd.

OMG why the hell is everyone bashing out at me because of my speculation?

What, my theory isn't good enough for you all? But every other is? Don't make me laugh.
You all obviously didn't realize that I was explaining events in AFTER, I REPEAT, AFTER the war against the Reapers.

I'm tired of of hearing that she will preserve Cerberus. Why the hell would she want to preserve an Organization with a dark past.

Face it, NONE of us are correct yet. EVEN YOU jtav AND Ieldra too, so stop thinking that what you want will happen. The odds of what you want to happen are the same as mine.

And another thing, I am tired of hearing how some people want her cold again.

That is all....

Oh and By the way I L<3VE THIS PIC <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

Are we really going to go down this road again -.-. Everyone has their opinions, don't get worked up, if people don't agree with yours. You need help.

1) I do not need help. Do not fall into what the trolls are

2) I'm just stating that SOME people have crazy beliefs that their "opinions" are forever right. They have to realize that the chances of their speculations happening are the same as mine.

3) My opinion shouldn't be discriminated.

Oh you'd know, if I was trolling.. I am just going to ignore you from this point onward, there's no way to have a conversation without you getting too worked up on it.

@Ieldra: Nice.. Not fan of the armor, but yeah. It's alright. :P

Why? Why must you be so mean. I'm overreacting on it, it's the truth. You were my friend once. But now you have become nothing but a complete ****.

I am as much as a fan as you. You just don't seem to understand that. You are the one who cut me from you friend list for an unintellegent reason. That too, is being too worked up on a situation.

The other discussion was a lot better then this.  Not filled with tyrants who think their opinions matter the most. and believe that people who think otherwise are unintelligent.

I think Miranda has the motherly sense as proven in her loyalty mission, after all she's almost 40 (right?) but i think she wouldn't be the typical house wife even if she ever has kids with Shepard (and i'd really love that) she'd still have a cool job or something. Right now i think Miranda's priorities are the reapers and cerberus and i don't see her having kids until she fulfills her personal goals.

That's not motherly sense, that's being a big sister.
