Why do we need James Vegas if we can have Miranda?

@AxisEvolve, HiddenSins:
Actually, Miranda has a lot of sound files, almost as big as Ashley's in added size. Current news is good for a change, check the Miranda spoiler group. State of things is she may have quite a bit of content, but she may be way too Oriana-focused. Romance content appears to be very good, though we still don't know if there will be an actual romance scene.

Unless they've cut the option and the audio files are misleading, yes. Also she must probably be loyal from ME2. There's currently speculation about her fate in default games. Some of us think she'll be set to unloyal for non-imported games - which I would find enraging.UserForFun wrote...
So, you have control of her fate?

However... I never would had imagined that Miranda, a powerful Biotic that can rival an Asaari, will be defeated by Kai Leng who's weapons are his agility/strenght.

Well, according to lore after every Biotic attack you have a "cooldown" of around 40-60 seconds.
So, miss once, and Kai Leng will **** your **** up.

Hmm. I hope Miranda not speaking to Ori doesn't work out the same as not doing the LM.

Are you basing yourself on her not meeting Oriana to determine her loyalty status? Because she can not meet Oriana in ME2 and still be loyal.kiti.the.great wrote...
in non-imported game she is alive and she never met Oriana, so yes, she is unloyal.

Kai Leng is the Dragon. There is no shame in losing to him.
Instead, I was pleasently surprised to hear she can stand her ground against him if she has time to prepare. Almost invariably, the people who fight the Dragon end up dead just to extablish him as a believable threat for the hero. I feared that would be Miranda's fate.

well, good point, but probably it's all about not doing her loyalty mission at all.

No point in fixing what was not broken, I suppose. A bit dissapointed, though.
If Miranda really has no romance scene in ME3, I wonder what the second model is for.
Injured Miranda after her fight with Leng?

I don't think anything but loyalty will have an effect. *Maybe* romance, but I don't think so.jtav wrote...
Um, before I saw the leak I would have said Miranda had no chance at all. Leng's that good in Retribution.

A normal Biotic has a cooldown on up to 60 seconds -- An abnormal biotic, a dilemma such as Shepard or Grayson have literally no coldown. I bring Shepard in the equation ( Provided he's a biotic ) due to a number of criteria; Dr. Chakwas presented abnormal beta-waves, which is similar to increased brain activity -- His constant exposure to Prothean Technology ( And is proven that Protheans were exceeding in Biotics on multiple occasions -- Closest example, related to Shepard, is the Prothean Sphere which contains information upon Biotics, and is, presumably ''downloaded '' into Shepard, potentially increasing his raw, biotic potential, futher confirmed by the game-mechanics which offer Biotic upgrades + 10% ) et cetera..
Grayson requires no elaboration, for it is obvious why he's so powerful, and has virtually no coldown. I presented Shepard's case so well, for it is required for my next comparison.
Miranda's genetical pattern is -superior- to all Humans, her body was '' engineered '' in a manner of speaking, to be a suitable vessel for Biotics, trough unknown means. Her talent, and affinity for Biotics -can- surpass Grayson's own daughter, ( In theory ) which also does not abide by the 60 seconds cooldown.

That might still be her fate in non-imported games. Which will, considering how the mission goes, make her story a redemption/death story for new players. This is near the top of my "do not want" list and I'd find it greatly annoying even though I'll never get to see it myself. Hopefully - I hope her survival doesn't depend on a romance, or I'll be forced to see that play out with my femSheps. In that case, I'd rather replay the SM and let her sacrifice herself for the mission there.MisterJB wrote...

Incorrect, or half-truth to be more accurate, regarding the Biotic cooldown/limit.

What? This is just mostly speculation, I have no idea if you're just trying to justify gameplay in the lore or whatever, but it's well established Biotics have a cooldown, hell the reason why Kai Leng could kill Gillian was because her Biotics were on "cooldown".

That is not possible. At the time when her genetic template was made, biotics were unknown. I'd rather that Miranda's biotics - which she will have gotten by other means than eezo exposure (my hypothesis is surgical implantation of eezo nodules) - may be superior because of a metabolism that can generally produce more energy. That energy can be used for physical feats, but also for stronger biotics, which may or may not include a lowered cooldown.UserForFun wrote...
