When have you actually seen happy polygamy in cinema?

This is rather off-topic but I remember a movie called Shortbus which was taboo-free on the subject of sex.

That isn't polygamy, though.

I don't care about Oriana at all anymore, she's like a baby who constantly needs to be taken care of by her big sister and it's hurting Shepard's relationship with Miranda.

Shepard is sad.

@Lemon : I talked about polyandry, which is equivalent to polygamy.

Getting back on-topic

@Swaggacide : Do you mean about the relationship between Miranda and Shepard ?
I think my Shepard cares about it yes.
Also, I believe Ori would be very happy to learn that her sister has someone in her life.

Talking out of my ass.
But I'm getting annoyed by Miranda caring about nothing but Oriana.

Well, Oriana is a nice girl, so she would obviously be happy for her sister for having someone to care for her and love her.

I'm almost entirely certain she fully approves of Shepard.

Aside from a romanced Shepard, Oriana is the only other thing Miranda has.

Cerberus was her life so with that gone all she has is the two people she loves (Shepard and Oriana)

It bothers me too. Her idealism attracted me to the character. Cerberus attracted me to the character. But I can see the puppet strings now, and refuse to hold her mischaracterization against her. BW had a story they wanted to tell, and to hell with character, logic, or lore. I'll fix this.

Miranda wanting to keep her sister safe bothers you?

Would you prefer she just left Oriana to die?

So far with what I've heard about Miranda I'm quite happy about her role. If all the things people are saying hold true then ME3 will be the best game EVER!

Anyway...VOTE ON THIS POLL PLEASE! http://social.biowar...79/polls/28950/

And about Oriana. I hope Miranda still is focused and still the same woman she was before but I can understand why she cares so much about Oriana. She's her sister and Miranda will protect her. If she didn't care about Oriana it wouldn't be Miranda.

The problem is keeping Ori safe has become her only motive. No ideals, just family drama. Were things not so dire as to completely destroy my suspension of disbelief, Miranda would always die on the SM.

I understand she has to put into "standby" her ideals about the advancement of the Human race in ME3.
She has to save her sister, if she doesn't do it, nobody would.
As long as she still has room for her goals, which however, still needs to be confirmed in the actual game.
After the events of ME3 I think she would probably dedicate her efforts into that task, I'll head canon it that way.

Nonetheless, sadly, I must say the "TIW" scenario, which was almost palpable back in December/January now seems to be a distant fantasy.

This.

"Interplanetary apocalypse" may not be the best time to worry about advancing the cause of humanity, what with humanity (And every other species) very quickly being killed off. At the very least, she can protect her sister and keep her safe, while helping Shepard fight Cerberus and the Reapers.

No I would prefer Miranda having interesting content in which she would help Shepard take down Cerberus more actively while the entire Oriana thing would be ignored with the occasional reference.

Edit: Hell, they could have made it off screen and when Shepard meets her she could say she made sure Oriana was safe.

The Oriana plot just isn't interesting to me, I'm saving a galaxy here.

I really like the aspect that we can see Miranda interacting with Oriana face to face. I am also looking forward to seeing Miranda's father and how she deals with the son-of-a-****.

Oh man! I really do hope Miranda and Shepard are in his cabin getting some. That would be great... I'll be happy.:D

I saw Ashley in the new trailer. Makes me wonder about Miranda's.  <_

I hope Shepard and Miranda get a romance scene. If they do, it needs to be just as high-quality as the full romances are.

If they don't, well...

At least there's the make out scene.

No, she won't have a romance scene, neither a pillow talk. That's exclusive for Liara, VS, Garrus, Tali, Cortez and the other girl.

What about that new dialogue?

Some of that implies a romance scene.

Indeed. I'm finding myself in the usual situation of having my suspension of disbelief completely broken by the endings. In spite of having talked often about it when I complained about certain things, that hasn't happened in years, and no game managed to do it until now.

@ThomGau, AgitatedLemon:
Here's a symptom of what we're talking about: Miranda has been high up in Cerberus. In spite of that, Kelly contributes more ex-Cerberus resources to the fight against the Reapers than Miranda. Kelly! Can you imagine that? Her having been Cerberus is completely ignored while having been a large part of her identity for years. Her idealism regarding the advancement of the human species can take a backseat for some time, but it doesn't appear to be referenced even in one line and completely ignored as a motivation.

Clearly, character integrity and believable character development weren't high on the priority list of the writers. Given the endings, I wonder if lore and logic were on the priority list at all. It doesn't help that I hate family drama, and that we've seen "rescue Oriana" before.
