Do you guys know Mirandas role fully now from the people who have played ME3?

It doesn't appear to go much beyond the leaked script. But we don't fully know yet.

There is evidence for a romance scene, though. Not conclusive evidence, but I think the chances are good.

It bothers me too. Her idealism attracted me to the character. Cerberus attracted me to the character. But I can see the puppet strings now, and refuse to hold her mischaracterization against her. BW had a story they wanted to tell, and to hell with character, logic, or lore. I'll fix this.

Indeed. I'm finding myself in the usual situation of having my suspension of disbelief completely broken by the endings. In spite of having talked often about it when I complained about certain things, that hasn't happened in years, and no game managed to do it until now.

@ThomGau, AgitatedLemon:
Here's a symptom of what we're talking about: Miranda has been high up in Cerberus. In spite of that, Kelly contributes more ex-Cerberus resources to the fight against the Reapers than Miranda. Kelly! Can you imagine that? Her having been Cerberus is completely ignored while having been a large part of her identity for years. Her idealism regarding the advancement of the human species can take a backseat for some time, but it doesn't appear to be referenced even in one line and completely ignored as a motivation.

Clearly, character integrity and believable character development weren't high on the priority list of the writers. Given the endings, I wonder if lore and logic were on the priority list at all. It doesn't help that I hate family drama, and that we've seen "rescue Oriana" before.

Exactly, I forgot to mention that, we had the same thing in ME2.

No, she won't have a romance scene, neither a pillow talk. That's exclusive for Liara, VS, Garrus, Tali, Cortez and the other girl.

Sometimes I wonder if you're a troll by how pessimistic you are to everything Miranda.  Sooo... Shh!

Funny enough, Miranda's loyalty mission in ME2 was the only one that wasn't technically "resolved". Mr. Lawson could just go and try to kidnap Oriana again. Nothing really stopping him.

What about that new dialogue?

Some of that implies a romance scene.

There's wasn't much new dialogue.

Pffft, still not sounding all that great then. What's the point of Bioware even creating her as a romance if they're not even gonna fully conclude it. The whole thing seems sooooo pointless.

They needed an attractibe character to be bait for a Shepard who romanced Ashley.

I'll be 100% honest.

There are times when I really wish Miranda had never been created as a character. We would all be missing out on greatness, but we would also be saving ourselves a mountain of disappointment. She's great as-is, but sometimes I wonder if it's better for her to die with dignity in ME2 or 3.

And now they made Ashley attractive.

That was officially pointless.

Tbh the whole thing is so pointless :L

I mean when ME3 was first announced and I got thinking about who would be on the squad, i'm sure me like many others thought Miranda was a sure fire positive to be right at the top of the list, way above most charcters who are on the squad now even perhaps. And i'm sure most of us thought she would have huge main plot relevance.

Now we're acting like we should be greatful for Bioware even giveing us a romance scene and finishing that realtionship off and then even goiveing her some sufficient link to the Ceberus plot in ME3 which she was a member of most of her life, after they made such a big deal out of these two things in the second game I can only ask mysef why... if this is the treatment they're giveing to the charcter now, what was the point in even creating her?. The whole thing is just straw clutching now us holding onto to meager seconds of extra dialouge :L one of the best charcaters has been reduced to a mere shaow of her former self. Guuur.

There is evidence for a romance scene, damn it!

I agree they derailed her character, and I'll rant about that enough after the game is out and I've seen for myself, but the romance content appears to be good.

Honestly, I was shocked when I saw the squad list, and Miranda wasn't on it. Mind you, I didn't like Miranda back when this was new to me.

Couldn't have said it better. They made her safe and boring. I just don't care anymore after the endings were revealed. I'll pretend the character I came to like like no other in video games before is still under there somewhere and rewrite the endings and that's that.

I just didn't want the pessimism to be caused by the wrong information.

Again we have heard you say that 50 times at least. I get that you think that. I'm not happy about it either nor do I think it's fair.

Well, the voice was good from Strahovski at least (can't say the same from meer). But the love scene still isn't in stone, without more evidence than the audio files.

Romance scene or not, little plot involvement or not, I 've lost enthusiasm over Miranda and the game given how things apparently pan out...sigh

First Bastila, then Morrigan, then Miranda...things just don't end well.  The destination is important too, not just the journey
