So, who was the guy who wrote Miranda in this game anyway. He forgot to include:

- Closure to her past with Cerberus.
- Her view of the galactic stage.
- A proper contribution to the war (Kelly is more important than her).
- With those endings any epilogue is trash. So i won't talk about her role after the reapers (no chance to TIW at all).
- No even a single mention to her shadow broker dossier.

So, anyone knows where I can find a panda costume?

Look at the bright side. We have a good romance.

So there's 1 point. B)

I'll say -1 point.

The romance should only be part of the character. The romance doesn't make the character.

So much hate towards the writers... Someone likened the endings to Titanic awhile back - like the movie or not, it was extremely well written. Why? Because throughout it you were so wrapped up in emotion that you forgot you were watching a movie. ME has always been about the story and how you get so attached to the characters. The EASY thing to do would have been to write a happy ending. And then, we'd never think about it again. Some of the best stories don't necessarily have happy endings, or even endings at all - they simple *are*. They show the full spectrum of pain and happiness, and the two ends mutually validate each other. And they leave you thinking deeply and passionately about what just happened.

I don't want unhappy endings, the life one gigantic tragedy as it is, I don't need a game or movie for that. I want to end things on high note.

I find the most annoying thing about the whole situation is that we're never gonna really know why Bioware chose to do what they've done with Miranda in ME3 :/ i'd love to hear the writers reasons for giveing her the role she has + why they decided against making her a squad mate and even a temp so it seems.

I wish I could get in the writers heads on this one. Cus at the moment I just can't understand it at all.

1 other thing that hasn't been mentioned yet...

Titanic is a terrible comparison. A small, contained tragedy compared to a galactic-scale apocalypse. I can understand that it won't be unicorns and rainbows, but all 3 of the endings right now SUCK.

The "attractive human female romance interest" quota had been met already.

Of course not but, at this point, one must grab whatever he can. It is becoming increasingly likely that the only things I will be able to enjoy in ME3 will be the combat and Miranda's romance.

Roleplay against the Alliance...you can't roleplay at all.

I don't know exactly how the endings go, as I haven't been following the spoiler thread... only what I've gleaned from peoples' reactions. That being said, I find it sad that so many people who have been looking forward to this game for years have already ruined their perceptions of the game before they've even played it.

Are you saying it's sad that we spoiled ourselves? Because there is nothing wrong with that.

Or are you saying that it's sad because we had such high hopes, only to be disappointed?

Don't worry you can frighten Bioware and show them your Forum Veteran Badge and you'll get what you want.

Choice, really? We certainly did not choose for the game to be like this.
And, while we have not yet played it, some of us have seen six hours long streams of the full game. It's obvious what we are in for.

I don't really know why the Oriana part bugs people. I can totally understand it why she does it. The galaxy is in chaos and ruins. Do you serieusly believe Miranda would waste her time thinking how to advance humanity?

I would expect that her motivations include the big picture. That she's driven not *exclusively* by concerns for Oriana. And would appreciate a mission that doesn't look like a copy of her loyalty mission in ME2.

Well, the thing is: being dissappointed now, before we played the game. Or get the surprise of how much they ruined some things. At least we can be ready for the bad things.

And, a sh¡tstorm is comming.

I do Arrival after the SM, like I imagine most people do. My Shepard is doing it for Hackett, not the Alliance. Hackett and Anderson are the only 2 people left in the Alliance my Shepard considers friends. He knows they have his back, and he has both of theirs.

Thomas goes a little beyond that even. He considers Anderson to be his father (he's Earthborn- never knew his actual father and his mother died when he was 8) and Hackett to be an uncle. Even so, I still don't do Arrival at all.

Just sayin'... And yes I think it's sad we spoil ourselves (not that I blame anyone for doing so, I've done it plenty of times myself)... Because writers put a lot of thought into how a story unfolds, and knowing all the spoilers beforehand destroy the way we were meant to experience the story from the writers' point of view. Perhaps the scope of the game is so great that there simply isn't enough time to give the ideal story for each character. That, is unfortunate... but hopefully something that can be rectified in the future with individual stories.

If the game truly sucks, I will be here bashing it right alongside you guys after the fact. Much love :-)

Not true at all. The only difference between spoilers and watching it in-game is that you're learning it early. Your reaction will be the exact same.

Not necessarily true either. In the case of ME though, it's certainly true.

I didnt ask for your opinion. Besides is it too much to ask for the the conversation to move forward? Go back like 50 pages you'll see the same arguments/conversation 10 times with the same people saying the same things it gets annoying.

There's quite a few things, some that are just things that I appreciate in women in general. The reasons why I was attracted to ME and Miri in the first place, I've stated before. I like women who are competent, caring ( sure she doesn't show it often, but it's in her), smart and who have their own thing. The first part is especially important for me, since I hate the need for the brave princes that ride on their white steeds to save the day.

I can't really answer the question too well, somethings just "feel right" and I enjoy them without thinking too much why. Though in ME's case it might well be more about what I don't like about other LIs when compared to Miranda.
