If Miranda wants to have kids so bad, why can't she get an egg donation from her sister. They're genetically identical, so for all intents and purposes, there would be no difference between a child resulting from invitro with her sister's egg and a sperm donor (or Shepard, if you're male). Hell, for the same-sex fans they've even proven it's possible to create a fertilized egg using the DNA from two separate women now.

I've just always been puzzled why "infertility" would be a huge problem for Miranda in the future assuming she has a functional womb and access to her sister.

They also said that that shadow broker might have some bad intel. I hope Miranda can have her own children. She's smart and with Mordin's help anythings possible. :wizard:

We don't really know if she wants kids "so bad". We just know that she does.
Anyway, only recently did Miranda extablish a relationship with Oriana. Also, it's very much possible that, unlike herself, Miranda wants her baby to be as natural as possible, including its conception.

Yeah...her sister's probably as infertile as Miranda herself. Technically Orianna is a clone. Or should be. Why she looks like she does in the game continues to confuse me, but whatever.

Actually she might not be yet, if it
developed over time for Miri, then Oriana may still be fertile. She's
younger after all. Anyway, this kinda pointless, so I am going to drop
out of this conversation myself and call it a night.

It really wouldn't. IMO the writer who came up with this "brilliant" idea didn't take into account that this is a sci-fi universe with well developed medical technology and genetic engineering. I have outlined several ways to get around it in the FAQ (linked in the OP), depending on the exact nature of the problem.

As for Oriana, the dossier does explicitly not confirm that her condition is genetic. Oriana might not have the same problem.

But again, there are more important concerns about and of Miranda than having children. Getting away from Cerberus in ME3, for instance. TIM's reach is long and if he's working with the Reapers, it will become longer. Hopefully she gets Oriana to safety in the time between Arrival and the start of ME3.

I sort of doubt she will because it's an easy hook for drama, though not one I care for.

I'm worried for her in ME3. She was extremely ready and willing to leave Cerberus at the end of ME2, and that doesnt make for a happy illusive man. If he ever tries to do anything to Miranda or her sister, (probably where Kai Leng will enter the story to bait Shepard in) then i will be much more motivated to take down Cerberus for good and also put a few hundred bullets into Kai Leng and the Illusive man. Not that i didn't want them dead already since i read Retribution.Miranda is my favorite squadmate and LI of course. She just does it all, skilled with weapons, deadly with biotics and beautiful to top it off. She needs to be my squadmate for the whole game! Ash coming in a close second with the makeover she recieved in ME3. Miranda is definitely the best character out of those 2, plus the lack of poetry is refreshing.

Given that Cerberus has eyes and ears everyone in the galaxy will probably make it hard for her to stay under the radar?

I get the feeling there will be a Cerberus undercover agent on the Normandy in ME3 posing as one of the crew...

Ask for asylum from one of the Alien governments and offer them intel on Cerberus in return.

It's Kelly, I tell you. I never trusted her, she is too sweet.

I don't doubt it.  They said Cerberus has planted "Alliance" spies...  I wonder if what's in the book with Anderson and his "girlfriend" are going in at the end of me2? or Me3?  Since that article seemed to emphasize the books a bit.  hmm...

Doesn't Miranda have "alliance" contacts as well?   :o

Was she? Didn't happen in my games.

I'll kill Kai Leng, take down TIM and replace him with Miranda. Everyone's purpose better served. The only problem is getting rid of the indoctrinated operatives and troops. I hope some are salvageable.

Miranda is my favorite squadmate and LI of course. She just does it all, skilled with weapons, deadly with biotics and beautiful to top it off. She needs to be my squadmate for the whole game!

That's unlikely to happen. And I don't know if I should hope for it. It would leave Miranda with less initiative and agency that she should have. I'd prefer a setup where she's absent for some time in-between and with us for the rest of the game.

If I were writing it, I'd have Miranda work for Liara in exchange for protection for her sister. She could do some good as an SB agent.

To be honest, I don't think she'd make a very good mother. She's a career woman and I doubt she would be able to give it up. She's used to living on the edge and going on potentially lethal missions. She would probably be very demanding too. I mean, she's good at almost everything and parents like that tend to put pressure on their children.

In my opinion, she and Shepard definitely aren't meant for a normal life.

1. A lot of people like her (including myself)

2. Many people romanced her (I did it on 2 playthroughs)

3. She is a very important figure in Cerberus and a central character in ME2, especially considering her 'resignation' if going the Paragon path with Terminator.

4. A conflict between her and Ashely/Kaidan would make for a fascinating interaction.

I seriously think that it would be tragic is Miranda were not a permanent squadmate. If we indeed are going to have more depth but fewer squadmates, then she should be one of them, for all of the reasons above plus her being a central link between ME2 and ME3.

Who is with me?

lol yeah i got bad vibes from her. It could be a nice subplot for ME3 but unfortunate for those that chose her as LI.

OMG why the hell is everyone bashing out at me because of my speculation?

What, my theory isn't good enough for you all? But every other is? Don't make me laugh.
You all obviously didn't realize that I was explaining events in AFTER, I REPEAT, AFTER the war against the Reapers.

I'm tired of of hearing that she will preserve Cerberus. Why the hell would she want to preserve an Organization with a dark past.

Face it, NONE of us are correct yet. EVEN YOU jtav AND Ieldra too, so stop thinking that what you want will happen. The odds of what you want to happen are the same as mine.

And another thing, I am tired of hearing how some people want her cold again.

That is all....

You know what, I like to think I'm pretty laid back and pretty easy going, but holy jebus you're starting to ****** me off (and note; not 'annoy' but ******) with your quasi-temper tantrums. Look, I'm sorry, but I said it. Get over yourself and accept that people may have different opinions than you.

Newsflash though; this whole thread is about speculation because obviously we don't know what's around the corner, but that doesn't mean we can't make somewhat informed guestimates based on our experiences with her character.

You don't think she'd want to join another Organisation and instead is okay with a normal life. That's fine, it's just that many of us disagree.

But you posting the above imo makes you a close to being a troll, and not the funny sort of harmless troll that likes to compare Miranda with Michael Jackson.
