Thats sad, I was really looking forward to a genuine scene. If Shepard continues a Romance from a previous game and this being the last game then a "I love you" is definitely required from my point of view.

I truly believed that Shepard would tell Miranda/his continued love interest "I love you".

This is another shoddy performance by BioWare's standards. Why even continue the relationship? It's like they made the decision for us: Pick Ashley/Kaidan or Liara and get a scene, anybody else no. How disappointing...That really lowers my respect for this series...

Only had the first scene so far, I liked it, although it was a bit shorter than I would have liked.
Some of her animations are bad, some are nice, I like her new smile though.

I heard there was "another" Romance scene but from what I have been seeing, that information is false. They must have been referring to the Vidcom scene...

What I loved in the first scene is that Miranda talks about many things, not just about Oriana. Her old pragmatism is still there when she says the Alliance is inflexible. And she makes jokes, challenges you about this being the last chance to back out. She's grown more confident in the relationship if you affirm it. I also like the parting words. Shepard: "Be careful". Miranda: "No promises", delivered again in the subtly challenging voice telling you that she will be as careful as she can, but won't be held back from doing what she needs to do. Also a nice callback to the promise scene in ME2.

I think it should there as an option. It isn't, which is unfortunate, but the romance overall is hearfelt enough that I don't really see that as a big problem.

Obviously, I agree about the lack of a fully implemented romance scene.

The first scene could stand to be cleaned up a bit and polished. But basically it is good, and I wish it set the tone for the rest of Miranda's involvement.

So far, I only had two meetings with Miranda but indeed the first scene is very solid. She talks about many different stuff, like TIM, the Alliance ... not just Oriana and the romance re-commitment is touching. BTW, I watched the break-up scene on Youtube ... I died a little, poor girl.

I wish it would have been longer but I'll take everything I can, which, in my opinion is not much compared to what we had in ME2. We were indulged with Miranda during the good old days damn it !
But well, so far, from what I saw regarding what they did to the ME2 cast I think we got lucky, she is more than a glorified cameo.

I am aware of the Vidcom conference with Miranda though.

*SPOILERS*

I know that she tells Shepard that "When this is over...Find me." And Shepard responds "I promise." That scene is very touching and I suppose I didnt realize this until now but Miranda is not really one for mushy love scenes, she has never been enamored like this before and she makes that evident. I suppose her telling him she wants him, makes love with him and tells him to find her is her way of saying "I love you Shepard and I will wait for you when this is over I swear it."

Shepard is the first man she ever felt that way about and ever trusted so it's easy to understand why those words are never spoken but it's understood regardless. Though still, there is a lot lacking in this romance plot that I wish were there. They should have spent more time on it but in the least she has the most face time among ME2 Squad mates.

I am happy however that the relationship is continued...Look at what happened to Jacob Taylor. Talk about a "Screw you FemShep."

Agreed, if Shepard doesn't see she is deeply in love with him he is an idiot and vice versa.

There is indeed a lot lacking in this romance, to me, firstly a conversation after the romance scene. If I were Shepard I would be like "Wait, what the hell game ? why are you kicking me out ? I didn't want to leave Miranda just yet"

I have to agree with that. I think though regardless Miranda has a hard time saying "I love you", I think a final romance scene similar to Ashley or Liara's in the end of the game with her telling him "I love you" resulting in a nice romance scene would have been a GREAT ending to their romance subplot.

It is disappointing work on BioWare's part but I didn't make the game, the series or the lore. They did. I'll be content, though begrudgingly, content about what we see end with Miranda Lawson.

So I finished the game last night.. have to say overall I was actually pretty pleased with the whole game in general. My only angsts is the final Normandy scene and the grandfather portion.

In regards to Miranda, I was pleased with what we got - even with how little it was. I can understand a lot of people's attitudes towards how she was represented in the game. My only gripe was the last scene with her.. I think a more appropriate scene would be on the Normandy, after taking down Cerberus and before the push towards Earth.

Like I said, my only gripes is the unknown fate of the Normandy - and the stupid pointless scene with the Grandfather. But hey, Shepard lived. So now he can spend his time finding Miranda..

I plan on having my Shepard survive so I can end it believing he went off to find Miranda wherever she disappeared to. I totally believed that she would take over Cerberus and use it to help in the final fight but maybe Cerberus was so far begone, much like the Collector facility, that Shepard could not, and would not, use it.

Going off topic, but can anyone explain the details necessary to informing Miranda about Kai Leng, the hit on her and getting her informed so she is not killed in Kai Leng's attack? I am slightly confused by how to proceed there so when the opportunity arises I am well prepared with information and know how to keep her alive and well.

As for warning Miranda - make sure you deal with Udina before.

It's part of the 2nd conversation, which is by vidcom. As long as you make sure you communicate with her at that point, you should be fine.

The trickier hurdle actually seems to be having sufficient rep, though we haven't worked out all the details yet. There is also a renegade interrupt that maybe allows you to accomplish the same thing without the persuade option, though that last point is a little hazy.

Edit: Also what rathias said, I didn't realize it was possible not to deal with Udina prior to that dialogue.

Awesome. Just made a mental note of that, I have not received that yet but I will soon for sure. Is there a time table through which I need to complete Udina before Miranda assassination happens?

Well, the Miranda scene where you need to either persuade or interrupt is much later in the game. But, apparently, following rathias' point, you can mess up the order and contact Miranda for a second time too early (prior to finding out about Leng's involvement yourself). I didn't realize that.

When you speak to Udina is that when you learn of Kai Leng?

You can't miss Leng/Udina because it's on the crit path and necessary to advance the plot. So, if you get the opportunity to contact Miranda again, and that hasn't happened yet, you should just keep moving forward with the main plot.

In reference to the question being asked if you will have enough reputation to save her. I dont know but I can imagine that tab right above where your limit is should be enough, that looks like 75%.

In order to save Wrex you needed 75% Renegade or Paragon, many options to save people required only 75%. I think Saren was the only person I can recall that required above 90%.

The Jack/Miranda scene was probably 75% too...

Ahh.. Is there a guide on how to save Miranda?

My rep was maxed out but I did something wrong.
