Yep. My headcanon will be a little more complex and take a little time, but that's what it comes down to.Td1984 wrote...
When I finally get through ME3, I'll headcanon that Thomas just ultimately "respawns" (for lack of a better term) near Miranda following choosing the merge ending.jtav wrote...
Oh, God, that final convo left me a wreck. Am I alone? Shepard, you have to find her. You have to!
I'll leave the Normandy to be rescued by others. They're somewhere within the same cluster so regular FTL should be able to get them back. Not sure I want to retcon the destruction of the relays, a rebuild scenario with the help of Reaper knowledge or the Reapers themselves might make for a better story. Then once the Reapers fix the Relays (which were just short-circuited as opposed to destroyed), Thomas and Miranda will take a ship, rescue the Normandy crew and go to Horizon and pick up Oriana and return to Earth.

I can see them easily rebuilding Mass Effect Relays, it would take a long time, a very long time...but if they could just get ONE to the Citadel then it's possible.

I would leave the Normandy to be rescued by others, but he's too loyal to his former crew.Ieldra2 wrote...

WHY is my Readiness Rating STILL at 50%? Is it Because I'm still in Act 2?!
And why does it show Effective Military Strength at 2508 and THIS (Aqnd I Quote!) "Chances Are Low But Measurable?"
Why? I've been complete Story Missions, N7 Missions, Side Quests, and Side Missions. I have ALSO been scanning Planets for War Assets. What the hell am I doing wrong?!

It's better for them in my scenario. It will take Shepard's mind a few weeks to reform....Td1984 wrote...

@101:
Effective Military Strength = Readiness * Total Military Strength. I don't know what's so hard to understand about that. Also Readiness can only be changed by playing MP.

Is there any action/decision/dislogue option I have do do in order to prevent Miranda's possible death?
Or is it too early for such issues?
By the why in order to rekindle the relationship should I head to the Citadel immediately or can I complete Grunt Mission? It's not marked as "Priority", if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks for your help.

And all I can think of is curse at the lack of space in the game, where we must share her dialogue with shepards that don't romance her. You'd imagine after agonising for 6 months if she should break into Alliance HQ to see him that their reunion would be more warm and spontaneous. Grrr...

Yeah, but only if you choose Destroy, thereby exterminating all synthetics. Here's about the prospect of a reasonably happy future being to restricted to the ending I like least. That's yet another aspect of the endings I don't like.Rykoth wrote...
I get the impression that Miranda is one of the few ones that /might/be able to live happily with Shepard in the end?
On the other hand, I have to reassess my opinion of the second talk. It isn't much, but it's rather nice. I wouldn't have thought it, but playing through it is different than watching footage. So much potential off-screen badassery here with Miranda dodging Cerberus assassins and so. Why can't more of that be on-screen like with Thane? And the parting words were really good. "You know I can't promise that. Could you", Shepard: "No I couldn't". Shepard's face when he says that.... pained. He wants to keep her safe, but knows that if Miranda was a woman who would be kept safe she wouldn't be Miranda.
I still don't like that this all ends up as loyalty mission 2.0, but otherwise it's OK.

The red option is kinda what you're supposed to be aiming for anyway throughout the series
Heh true enough. I just liked what the Geth had turned into by the time I had to make that decision, same goes with EDI.

Didn't know I was "supposed" to take a specific option. The fact that this comes across as if I am is one thing I find greatly annoying.Rykoth wrote...

I took one for the team and deliberately failed the rep check. The death scene was what's already been posted. No "I love you" or "things I could never have." I'll check with the Renegade interrupt, but I don't think those lines made it into the final game unless they require her to have spoken with Ori.
Hmm... the "I love you" would've been nice. One of the rare situations where I wouldn't have minded it. But I'll never have her die, so I won't miss it in my games. Can't say I miss the other line at all, and I guess that's true for almost everyone here.
I just got to the romance scene. Short, but it made me smile. I have a few minor issues with the conversation but on the whole I like the scene much better than I would've thought when I saw the footage. Only....it's just so little compared with what the team members have. All those mission comments, banter, meetings.
I'm going to reload and put that meeting off though: Does anyone know how long you can put it off? There also seems to be a minor bug, since I never got a mail from Miranda but I can meet her when I go to the Citadel.

I'm wondering if she might have multiple deaths depending on how you screwed up, but it seems a waste of space.
Actually, there's 2 ways for her to die.
- Doing nothing (not using para/rege option nor the renegade interruption), she gets a shot from her father.
- Not giving her acces from alliance resources: If you take the para/rege option She will kill her father and he won't shoot her. However she'll be exhausted after the biotic punch, add the injures from the fight with Leng ans she'll have a slow death. In this escenary is when you get the "normal life" and "i love you" lines. Too bad that She doesn't say the "I love you" to Shepard, neither he say it to her.
