Hmm... the "I love you" would've been nice. One of the rare situations where I wouldn't have minded it. But I'll never have her die, so I won't miss it in my games. Can't say I miss the other line at all, and I guess that's true for almost everyone here.
I just got to the romance scene. Short, but it made me smile. I have a few minor issues with the conversation but on the whole I like the scene much better than I would've thought when I saw the footage. Only....it's just so little compared with what the team members have. All those mission comments, banter, meetings.
Same for me
I like the complicity and the teasing present in that exchange between Miranda and Shepard with the " Oh ... Still impatient Commander ? - Still trying to maintain control Miss Lawson ?"
And there's is also the strong loving side, they need each other " trying but failing", and it seems Shepard is almost begging her to kiss him " Hey ... come here", "Good ... I'm almost out of moves"
We don't see anything of the love-making itself but I think the words they say to each other have a greater impact on me than a half-erotic scene would have had.
I strongly regret that there's no after love-making conversation which would have been very touching.

True, though Thomas and Miranda won't be planning on leaving until they can get to Oriana as well.Since apparently Admiral Anderson (whom he considers to be his father) dies regardless, Miranda, Oriana and the Normandy crew are all the family he has left, so he wants to be the one to rescue them all.Ieldra2 wrote...
It's better for them in my scenario. It will take Shepard's mind a few weeks to reform....Td1984 wrote...
I would leave the Normandy to be rescued by others, but he's too loyal to his former crew.

If you dig around in SP, I think you should be able to get close to the required EMS, but it might take awhile.

Unfortunately My Effective Military Strength is at 2508, but I'm still in Act 2.

Liara : How's Miranda ?
Shepard : She will make a recovery.
Liara : I'm not surprised. Miranda always struck me as a driven woman.
Liara : I think you two could be very happy together.

I read Miranda can die if we don't inform her about Kai Leng. When do we have the option to inform her?

After the coup, do a mission. You'll get an email from her.

Was it satisfactory? Not necessarily. At least it wasn't disappointing. I do wish my Shep could have had more time with Miranda, and by all means, I'd rather have her join me on the normandy than Vega or even Ash, or even visit. But compared to the other lame me2-squaddies romances, Miranda's was OK.
The ting that bugs me the most is the final memories that Shep has. I wish Miri was one of the people he though of, it really makes no sense that he would think of Liara or Ashley who he dumped, and not Miranda. But lest not get into the whole "the ending sucks" mess here. Just wanted to air my thoughts on the Miranda romance.

I did the destroy ending where Shepard lives, Shepard keeps his promises. Anyways the the last line the kid has is "tell me more about Shepard" and the old man says, okay one more story. So maybe there ll be more...?

But if she was a squadmate she would direct access to the Shadow Broker, EDI, and to the Alliances most famous operative which in turn would give her full access to Alliance resources.
All in all MIRANDA SHOULD HAVE OF BEEN A SQUADMATE

But indeed Strahovski is expensive and this prevented the main plot from having great closures and a great character back.

****SPOILER****
Yeah I saw the Old Man and Little Boy. To Be Honest, I didn't come this far to see that Me, and EVERYONE I know became mere "Bedtime Stories" told by an old man to a little boy. That gives the feeling that we are all dead and have perished in the fight to take back Earth. It also makes it all sound like a legend/myth. Like I said, we become mere Bedtime Storues.

I think I know why they didn't. She would have logically been very important to the Cerberus plot, which means a lot of extra dialogue and variation. It's not like Tali, who's only relevent for a few missions. And Strahovski is expensive.
Granted Strahovski is more expensive then getting other unknown VOs but she's still a rising star and probably isn't that big of a dent in the budget. More importantly, this is Mass Effect, EA, and Bioware we're talking about. Their biggest franchise. I doubt budget was a reason (if at all) for the lack of Miranda. But that's just my opinion.

Or maybe it was in fact all made up. I kind of was glad that for the past month or two I've been a member of the general spoiler group so I knew what exactly I was getting into. At the same time though, earlier this week I began my canon run with Thomas starting from ME1 and I find myself unable to get into it like I used to.
