I think I know why they didn't. She would have logically been very important to the Cerberus plot, which means a lot of extra dialogue and variation. It's not like Tali, who's only relevent for a few missions. And Strahovski is expensive.
How do you know how much she gets paid? I can't imagine her being that expensive, for example Liara's VA might be way more expensive among quite few others in the game.

And now I wanna curl up in a corner and cry. The ending definitely could of been different and explain what happened after the fact. I am truly hoping for DLC and with it Miranda's story extended, but who knows.
Anyways, I though Miranda's romance was actually done well. I did think that she would have more to say to her father, but if she was laying on the floor she probably did have a conversation with him off screen. And the whole "advancing humanity" thing, I'm not sure that could of been use only because humanity is under siege and at that moment advancing wouldn't be as important as just surviving. I'm just going to headcanon that after the war she starts an organization to help rebuild and Shepard finds her, living happily ever after.

Liked him? No. But him being a perversion of everything I liked about Miranda instead of just Rich Guy #123 is interesting. Miranda could be Henry if things were very slightly different.
That's one of the things that I really liked about the control chip conversation, Miranda realizing that she's a not all that different from her father. I'd have liked a little more interaction between Miranda and her father, but what we got wasn't bad.

Ah, well. In my universe, she's still magnificent. Should I feel the need to kill her, Henry can do it. That version didn't upset me.

Also, I would think Mirandamancers would have less of a problem with the ending if they choose red, considering that implies Shep and Miri can probably be reunited. (whereas the Normandy crew...)

Also, after lurking on other character threads, I'm not inclined to complain about Miranda's role too loudly. She does do some impressive stuff if she lives, her personality is intact, content is fairly sizeable, and the romance is treated as real and legitimate. As maddening as the omissions are, we got off easy.

I also tried the break up option just to see what would happen and it made me feel like the worst person in the galaxy. Shepard comes out with the "we need to focus on survival" line the happy expression on her face just falls away and the tone of her voice changes back to Lazarus Station Miranda. What's worse is that Shepard doesn't even notice that anything's wrong and just says "keep in contact". It's a rather well done scene from an animation and voice acting standpoint, but I don't think I ever want to trigger it again.

I'm currently working on ME2 (which I haven't played in almost a year and back on the PS3) and that takes me about 1-2 weeks. So I'm sure that I'm even slower than you (though that's because I get distracted easily).enayasoul wrote...
Yes, I love what she's become in ME3. It seems she's grown more "comfortable" I guess is the word with letting Shepard in but Miranda still does like to take care of her own problems. I admire that. I'm pretty impressed with how maleShep has formed in this series. A lot more personality and just wow.I only wish we had more of Miranda and Shepard. Mmm... Just finishing up tali's rannoch quest. Sigh... haven't reached Sanctuary yet. It's taking me forever to play this. I don't know how you guys do it so fast. I guess I love looking for every nook and cranny of the game. I can't believe how much I've laughed and cried. What a damn rollercoaster this is. haha. Damn, that stupid kids in my brain. "Everyone's dieing." NO ****!

He doesn't kill her even if she isn't romanced. I'm still wondering how she got away from him, considering he knocked her out, if I remember correctly.
Leng: (raises sword for the killing blow)
Henry: That's enough Mister Leng.
Leng: The Illusive Man told me to kill this traitor.
Henry: He also returned my property as a part of our agreement. That includes Miranda, flawed as she may be she still represents a significant investment. An investment that I will see taken out of your hide if you don't lower that bloody antique.
Leng: (sheaths sword)
Henry: Good day Mister Leng.

I'm actually surprised how much of a role she has in ME3 compared to the other ME2 characters.
me too I was pleasantly surprised but did seem like we really did get lucky compared to the other ME2 romances (not seen femsheps yet but Jacks is terrible)
cant really complain about not having enough what I would call romance situations considering how bad the others are.
just wish we actually saw what happened after the war except the normandy crashing. (guessing DLC or ME4)

I need you help:
I read Miranda can die if we don't inform her about Kai Leng. When do we have the option to inform her?
After the coup, do a mission. You'll get an email from her.
Thanks for the info.
Just to clarify, you automatically warn her about Kai leng right? Cuz I didn't see any choice about warning her and now I'm slightly freaked out

Yeah, you're good. Other factors may affect Miranda's alive/dead status(loyalty from ME2 being one, probably), but you should be just fine.
