EDI is not organic. Therefore she dies in the Destroy ending.Rathias0114 wrote...
I can't stand the synthesis ending. It's a pathetic cop out by those who can't gather the balls to make a dangerous decision.
Also, why does everyone think that EDI dies if you take the destroy ending? Am I wrong when she is not synthetic being in origin - but in control of one? How does destroying her form destroy her? As for Joker's happiness.. Screw him. Has he sacrificed as much as Shepard has? No. He's a pilot in love with a computer. He can get over it. It's not like thier relationship would breed anything besides them talking to each other.
Destroy is the only logical ending and keeping my own Shepard alive has nothing to do with my choice. Humanity's survival should be it's own. If we get ended by AI then so be it. That is our fate to decide. Control keeps the cycle going. Which means 50,000 years later - the exact same thing again. Reapers coming back. Harvesting. Over and over. Synthesis.. Ugh. Pathetic cop out by Bioware. Synthesis is the only reason I hate the ending.

EDI is an AI. AIs are by definition synthetic life. It doesn't matter if her real body is the Normandy. Destroy would destroy her, and the visuals support that notion by not showing her when in the same circumstances, she does appear if you choose Control or Synthesis.Rathias0114 wrote...

jtav and I - and now Tallis it seems - have headcanon where he can come back: his mind was fragmented by not destroyed, and can reform. After all, he promised Miranda he would find her. We just use a little of the Synthesis' space magic for our own purposes.Rathias0114 wrote...

After consulting the wiki, I think I've figured out how to get Miranda to survive or die.
3. Warn her about Leng and give her the Alliance data. I presume failing to do so gets you the extended death scene.
I had this and my shep mentioned Leng, but not much else...

So how's the Mass Effect 3 coming along then?
I am sure she'd appreciate feedback from those with Twitter account. I thought she improved from the last game.
I felt there were some lines that could have used an additional take. But whatever. Still enjoyed it a lot overall.

...but I can't do it! That was heartwrenching. I feel like I've done something terribly, terribly wrong. I need to shower. I've shot three former squadmates and play as 80% renegade but nothing has ever made me feel this bad. I'll just have to wait to experience the Steve romance in a new run. I can not bear to break up with Miranda. =( I had to reload to fix this tragic error in judgement.
Such is the power of Ms. Lawson. I'm totally gay but completely in love with her.
I want Miranda DLC.

It's easy to also assert that he was jettisoned somewhere into the Galaxy through the Launch at the Citadel to all of the Mass relays, though highly unbelievable but the Synthesis ending thus far is definitely the best. I would also have to agree that her face should have been in the Flashback instead of Liara's.

I prefer the Destory ending because its the only one that Shepard can actually survive in human form.

I enjoyed Destroying the Reapers, but I wish there was more to the ending, instead of jumping MANY years later, showing an old man and a kid talking about how it was "So Very Long Ago." A future MANY years later where Me, and EVERYONE I know, including Miri, is dead. :(I hate Endings where it jumps MANY years in the Future where everyone is dead. I worked so hard, only to end being a mere bedtime story?
And I saw myself in STONE rubble. There is NO stone on the Citadel!
ME3 COMPLETELY Stands out from ME1 and ME2. And I don't know why I have that feeling of ME3 COMPLETELY Standing Out from ME1 and ME2....POSSIBLY because of the Ending(s).
The Last Time I talked to Miri was on a Vidcom in London. I don't even know if she is alright. I don't even know if she lived at the end of the war. That's the most SADDEST Part for me: Not knowing where Miri is before heading to the Beam to get to the Citadel. Not Knowing if she lived through the Final Confrontation and Not Knowing if she's Alive AFTERWARDS. Not to mention that I can't have a Happy Ending with Miri.
I was Hoping for BETTER Closure.
Why do People End Games in such a way?

the idea is that it enables the fans to make there own mind up, e.g. if your someone who dislikes happy ending you imagine she died sadly, if your like me an optimist you hope she survived and is there to save you.

Though I pity Miranda without headcanon. I cost her Ori and Matt. Christ...
I remember you once said that Matt was afraid that he'd end up losing Miranda because the galaxy takes perverse glee in taking things from him. Which makes the endings really tragic from that standpoint.
My problem with the endings is that there's no differentiation between what happens. It's "what color do you want the mass relay explosion to be?" the cutscene of Shepard suriviving in Destroy, or the model change for Synthesis.

I Hope So. There was so much going on in Lodon. I hope Miri Survived, whereever she was on Earth. But I don't want to fall down to Fan Fics or "Too Much" Head-Canons! I want to see it ACTUALLY Happening.

I'm sure Miranda survived. She was on/near London during the final moments so if you did destroy it's completely plausible to believe that they would find each other. It's only where Synthesis and Control come into play that Shepard is most likely dead.
However if everyone will notice: At the final epilogue scene with the Stargazer and child, the child asks for "one more story" and the Stargazer, though (I assume he told Shepards story from the events that took place in Mass Effect 1 all the way through 2 and to the end of 3 where we are at now) finishing Shepard's story, tell's the child "Alright...one more story."
But...In the end, who knows. That is what Head cannon is for. I do agree that there is something to be desired when it comes to the endings and it is chalk full of plot holes but I did not make the game, BioWare did. Headcannon here we ALL come.

Has anyone taken it upon themselves to reedit the final flashback movie, and insert in a shot of Miranda in place of Liara? I am still blown away that Bioware didn't do this originally, it really bugs me.
That would be smart of someone, maybe the scene from Mass Effect during their romance scene when Shepard has his hands wrapped around her with him behind her? That would be the best I think, or the scene on the Citadel with their hands clasped. AKA the screen shot someone posted on here awhile back.
