I think you get it by affirming the romance but refusing Alliance resources. Should I check?
If it's no trouble, I'd really appreciate it. On this new playthrough I'm doing now I'd like to get this scene.

That message at the SB terminal made up for a lot.
Well, that kind of file/message can be written and added very late, I think, and it checks a bunch of boxes on things that have been specifically mentioned here.
Miranda providing intel on Cerberus? Check.
Miranda leading a team of operatives? Check.
Miranda independant? Check.
Miranda having something to do if she survives? Check.
So, obviously, I have mixed feelings on that. It's nice it was added, but clearly some of this stuff should have been included in the actual flow of the game.
It's basically the "Cerberus Renegade" idea we talked about a lot.

MIranda should have a primary (spoken) Codex entry. It should appear automatically either after the first email or after the first meeting. I have one in my game.CuseGirl wrote...
Random question: I couldn't find a codex entry for Miranda, did anyone have that problem?
nope, I checked....she's not there....and i kept looking for it after I met up with her....
When you go to the Codex, make sure you're looking under the Known Associates section, she should be there.

Does breaking up with her have to do whether she lives or dies?
Yes, apparently if you break up, she does not survive.

Okay...wow.....
What does happen when say "You're still in my plans" to Miranda and "We did not cut all ties" to Ashley?

I think it's the "things have changed" option, as opposed to the "Nothing has changed" option, in your first dialogue with Miranda on the Citadel.
That's probably not exactly right, as far as the paraphrase that you are selecting, but it's something like that.

I want to do a play through where my Shepard breaks up with her, but survives.

Well, I don't think that's possible

Has anyone taken it upon themselves to reedit the final flashback movie, and insert in a shot of Miranda in place of Liara? I am still blown away that Bioware didn't do this originally, it really bugs me.
That would be smart of someone, maybe the scene from Mass Effect during their romance scene when Shepard has his hands wrapped around her with him behind her? That would be the best I think, or the scene on the Citadel with their hands clasped. AKA the screen shot someone posted on here awhile back.
I'm still wondering what scene I should use.
The problem with the romance scene is that Shepard is shown, and all the players don't play with the same Shepard look.
I think, at least from my perspective, the default Shepard would be acceptable in this case since that is the canon face and body of Commander Shepard. I dont know of another scene, unless you pick the Apartment scene where she twirls around to face you right before their Romance scene? I think that may be an individual scene of her.

Affirm the romance in the first conversation. Then pursue your chosen option. Latter flag overrides the former.
You tell her " You're still part of my plans" when you first meet up. Then, choose the " Don't sleep with her option" at the appartment? It works?

I know you've probably discussed this concept art to death already - sorry if that's the case... but:
Am I seeing things, or did Miranda get a statue on the Citadel?
I wonder if it's meant to be Miranda or just a representation of humanity, much like the Krogan Statue.

What really got me was the "We'll get you out of here".
I had tought this death scene with the declarations of love had been removed. Glad to see it made it into the game.

I'm stuck atm, but you get the romance scene even if you refuse to give her resources. I'm virtually certain that's how you get that variation.
I just read on her Wiki page that Shepard mentions Kai Leng in the 2nd conversation with her if you read some email about him. So maybe if you don't read that email, you don't mention him in that conversation, and then you get this scene?
I'll try it out on my playthrough

It's a pretty well-written scene, also I'm going to have to give Bioware some credit with how they handled Miranda's character, it's entirely possible to RP her as being a tragic character or have her move on from her past and have her become a rather impressive figure.
On another note, did anyone else get a little nervous when Miranda asked for Alliance resources? When she said not to ask why she needed them my mind sprung back to Anders' request for help in DA2 and we all remember what happened with that.
