Here's the video I recorded of the flashback: www.youtube.com/watch  SPOILERS if you haven't beat the game yet obviously

YES I know it shows Miranda as she was in ME2...I'm hoping we can get some ME3 quality video to put together (Yannkee?)

If you guys want I can also put up the actual .bik file and instructions how to replace the Liara one?

That would be extremely appreciated! And I think even if it's from ME2, it's a good scene. I can believe Shepard would see that.

She won't be present in ME3 of course. Oriana will take her place in the Sanctuary confrontation with the scene playing out a bit differently.

Thanks Vertigo. I don't think it's important that the scene is from ME2. It's infinitely better than seeing Liara (when you haven't romanced her).
This is a bit off-topic, but for the people who completed the game, which squadmates were present in the ending? I read that the two that will appear are the squadmates that have the highest relationship with Shepard.

I do admit its really random that you have flashbacks of Liara not the one you romanced with the most.

^Insider @ Bioware said that they had "technical difficulties" implementing it for the other LI's....

Anyway, here's the Project page, includes instructions and file:

You managed to fix it ?
Thanks.

I'm interrested to know how you did it, did you change the parameters in the RAD encoding tool ?

Many thanks. I can't believe I now have a reason to replay ME3's ending. Oh, the irony!

I need to find a scene where Miranda is looking at the camera and is not speaking. I didn't find such scene in the first conversation, I have to look at the appartment scene.

But I think the wink scene is not so bad.

Yeah, had to play with the settings a little but what worked was changing the "Compress to data rate (bytes)" Variable to a value of 1459007 which is the same used for the Liara flashback.

And make sure that the compress audio button is unchecked...caused crashes for me when it was on.

Also, I had tried this before but the video produced crashed the game, I went back and redid it again and got a video that doesn't crash the game...though I don't know how you guys fare when you play...

Interesting to see I'm not the only one who thinks along those paths. I'd have more to say about that, but I don't want to go too much OT here.

Not to get into it here, but the problem I see with that line of thinking is that it's such an absurd concept. Slaughtering an entire civilisation, then somehow melting everyone down into some kind of collective consciousness... Sorry, but that is beyond stupid. So I don't really see how one could construct a rational argument either way on the basis of that.

I prefer that the scene is from ME2, honestly.

Ok thanks, I will try.
If it works I will upload the video, I have a better quality version than the one I uploaded on youtube.

This is BS, how did they have technical difficulties? Seriously, how difficult can implementing a 3 sec flashback be? It was pure laziness and disrespect to everyone who wanted to stay loyal to the ME2 LI.

Miranda and Thane were completely screwed in this game and for what, make more room for Ash, which I think I speak the truth when I say people like Miranda better, and that annoying Vega just so that new fans woul identify with him? It wasn't cool and the truth is Bioware doesn't give a crap about us, the flashback scene won't be patched, as simple as that would be.

Thanks Vertigo for the BIK fix. I'll save it for once they either fix endings or fix single player EMS.

I have a hard time imagining that it could really be a big problem on a technical level, agreed.

Yannkee was kind enough to put up a new and higher quality video for the flashback!
It's been put up on the project page

Yeah doesn't seem like a difficult thing to code, I mean they have it for the VS.  The guy I mentioned isn't a high ranking person in the company so it might have gotten passed down as technical difficulty when in reality it was time issues or lack of care regarding ME2 romances (hell there's no Garrus or Tali flashbacks)

Meanwhile look at the response to this: www.youtube.com/watch

Yeah, probably.

I guess the link to the project (with an explanation) might be a good thing to add to the op of this thread, actually.

Hmm, yeah. It's too bad, really. Basically you have two big pieces of stupid: implementing the SM, thus making your life hell for ME3, then making a mess of the ME3 endings, thereby making your life hell... indefinitely? I feel for the guy on some level, but damn. That is a whole lot of stupid.

I feel a tiny bit of sympathy for him that he's forever going to be known for writing the words 'loads of speculation'.

OP updated.

I have...an odd question. Any preference of one death scenario over another? I'd like to try Default!Shep. Or can flags be tweaked via Gibbed?

Yes. She dies.

And, you know, there really isn't as much romance content as I assumed. Which I almost like because FShep and Miranda come off as very close with the reused dialogue.
