Yes breaking up with Miranda automatically cause her death regardless if you warn her about cereal man and give her the alliance resources

You can save her as FShep. Just warn her about Kai Leng and give her access to Alliance resources.

The romance is not required for her to live, but breaking up = death (so, no problem as FShep).
You can affirm the relationship, then over-write the flag with another romance to bypass this.

I will say the break up is some of the best acting in the game. Props to Strahovski and the animators.

Well, I agree it's silly. When you add in the fact that Miranda's romance content is implemented in a half-hearted manner and she isn't around much, it becomes pretty blatantly stupid, actually.

I don't think the new VS romance triggers if you have an active romance with any character. Pretty sure the date on the Citadel with Kaidan or Ashley would default to friendship.
It doesn't seem to work that way, according to multiple players. Not sure if it's intended.

It breaks my heart to watch it though. Her face just falls and the tears just make me feel as if I've killed any chance at happyness she's ever had. And her voice is just flawless with the reaction.

I tried the break up option and had the same reaction. Strahovski switches right back to the same tone of voice that we get on Lazarus Station in ME2, plus the animation department really nailed the change of her facial expression from being happy to see Shepard to her being heartbroken.
I was really impressed by Strahovski's voice acting, I wish there was more Miranda scenes so we could have heard more
I hope Strahovski does more VA work in the future, I think she's very good at it.

Um....why would you even want to break up with Miri in the first place? Why are you ALL making a sport out of that?! >
It's INDEED Safe to say that I AM the Mirimancer/Mirimaniac who is TRULY Dedicated to Miri. I wouldn't break Miri's Heart to see what it's like. I wouldn't break Miri's Heart EVER!
I just reloaded to a previous save and tried it because I like seeing all the different outcomes in a conversation and seeing as much content as I can.

I have seen the breakup and death scenes and not just through youtube. Being willing to see all of Miranda's content in ME3, pleasant or not, is, in fact, a sign of dedication.

I didn't get Miranda's codex entry in my first playthru because I didn't meet with her when she FIRST contacted me by private message (the meeting by the Normandy Docking bay). In my 2nd playthru, I made sure to get that meeting and boop, her codex came up.

Any death scenario without the "things I could never have" line is preferable.jtav wrote...
OP updated.
I have...an odd question. Any preference of one death scenario over another? I'd like to try Default!Shep. Or can flags be tweaked via Gibbed?
As for Gibbed's, there is a "Is ME2 import" flag. You can try to set it to zero. I haven't seen any character-specific flag in the current version, but there may be in future versions.
Thank you for the update
