"I'll always want you in my life." Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect 3

I do think she could have interesting relationships/banter with some announced squad mates, particularly the VS and Liara. She and the VS effectively replace each other as main human. And there's going to be a lot of distrust due to their past loyalties. She and Liara knew each other and ME3 is the culmination of their hard work in Redemption. They're uniquely placed to comment on how the other has or has not changed.

If BW dares to make Miranda a background character and shove tali (yuck) and Garrus in my face, I'm not gonna give them my money. I'm just gonna play a free copy
To me it doesn't matter if I give my money to Bioware or not. If Miranda doesn't have a significant screen time (more than a cameo or a perm squadmate), ME3 is not worth it to me. I would like to finish the mass effect story, but I would be too disapointed for that. I don't think I'm gonna play to the game :/
I agree with you about Tali and Garrus.

I'd be thrilled if Miranda got the Liara
treatment. Galactic power, character development, and romance
continuation, all with the writers at the top of their game.
I'd love for her to have that, but not in the form of a small cameo and 90min dlc. Especially if that is the end of her character. LotSB looks so great IMO because we know we're getting more. If that was it for Liara. I don't think it would get as much praise.
I hope the human romances get more love in Mass Effect 3. Garrus, Tali, and Liara deserve their due too, but they have been dominate throughout the first two games. While the human love interests have only been present in one. I really don't think Horizon counts for the VS being part of ME2. Since it was short and weirdly written.

Also if Kaidan (Sentinel) doesn't survive and Asley (Soldier) does, Miranda is only other Sentinel class left.
So, we need Sentinel, because James is soldier. Like we need James, because If Kaidan survive player could have soldier class choise too as squad member. This would make so that player could have all classes as choise in ME3, even how the Kaidan/Asley choise has done by player. Of cause there is also that Miranda can be LI, so some players wants Miranda for that reasons too. Miranda is also only squad member who has direct leader abilities and been XO of Normandy.

Well Kaidan is my second favorite character, but if I have to choose between him and Miranda, I will always choose Miranda.
But I would be disapointed to not have the opportunity to have my two favorites sentinels with me during missions.

With one caveat, I agree with you: her story arc should cover a significant part of the game. Liara's story in LotSB is really good, but as final conclusion it falls short. You notice very much that this is not the end of things for her. I'd be absolutely thrilled if Miranda ends up the Illusive Woman, but it matters how she gets there.jtav wrote...

This has my full agreement. It is a mystery to me why the nonhuman LIs get so much attention. The original human team members of both games have grown to be my favorites, in those cases where they haven't been from the start. In fact, Ashley is the only one where I wouldn't mind a longer time on the team than Miranda, though I would mind very much if she had a bigger story arc. Ashley is a strong personality and if you romance her, I'm sure there's enough mutuality in their relationship, but in the end she's much more of a follower than Miranda. She's not one for big causes and epic plots.strive wrote....

Kaidan is the one I'd like to see Miranda with if I play a femShep. They're two of a kind in personality, in spite of different loyalties.

Btw why ppl in this thread hate garrus/tali? those 2 are my favorites and I am glad they are permanent. They were with us from the start and they should stay till its over.

I don't hate Tali as such. She's great as a friend to Shepard though not as an LI IMO. I don't hate Garrus as such though I don't care for him in any way. What I resent about them is that they appear to get preferential treatment when it comes to characters' screen presence. We've had them for two full games, there's no reason to sideline other important characters like Miranda for their benefit in ME3. I simply hate it that characters I like always appear to lose out in screen presence, and that the everpresent ones are almost always characters I don't care much for. It's happened so many times, in games, movies, TV shows and even in books. With Miranda, at last there was a favorite who appeared to get prime screen time. I'd absolutely hate it if that got reversed for the likes of Garrus and Tali.S.A.K wrote...

As for Miranda's story arc, I certainly hope it will be big. But the VS also had a story arc in ME2....so characters having a story arc really doesn't tell us much about their presence.

I don't hate either of them. Garrus is one of my five favorite characters. Tali, I would consider a good trustworthy friend. However they've gotten the lion's share of content so far, and I just wish/hope BioWare would spread it out a little better especially for a human character. The three most developed characters are aliens. :/.

yeah I undestand what you mean, but they have to give a reasonable ending to Miranda's story and the whole LI thing right? and I just hope her story arc don't have her ending up dead or something

I don't hate these characters. They are just not my favorites.
And I will be very pissed off if Miranda can't be a permanent squadmate in ME3, while Tali and Garrus (who already had been squadmates in ME1 and ME2) can.

I think Miranda is one of the most popular LIs in the game. I know Tali has her fans on the forums but I got to think that Miranda was the most popular LI in ME2, she has to be a permanent squad member in ME3 for that reason.
Miranda will not be a squad mate for Mass Effect 3. Shepard is now fighting against Cerberus, so it's likely she is going to be an enemy.

I don't hate Garrus or Tali. What I do hate is the favouritism shown towards them. As of ME3, they will be the only characters (bar Shepard) who've been in (and have had sizeable screen time) in all of the games.

But Miranda resigns from Cerberus.....
If she is Sheps LI also, I really can't see her turning on him.

I can only guess this hate will grow once we learn more about ME2 squadmates in ME3...
Also I kind of agree, though more on Tali than Garrus. I like Garrus.

Oh, so if you don't take her with you at the very end the scene where she quits won't happen?
