Except would be OOC for Liara. Not to mention the dossier isn't romance exclusive.

Yeah, I don't think it's necessary to add the extra layer, other than the writers just sending a certain type of message to players. I mean, it sort of fits to a point in-universe, as does the idea that the contact is Wilson. But that's more head-canon type of stuff.

I can't help it but the SB correspondence between Miranda and the Alliance makes me grin. This is what I wanted. Shame it wasn't in-game. But she's still awesome there.

Instead we got the idiotic control chip convo. Guess so non romanced Miranda wouldn't miss out on content.

Agreed. That would have been a far more powerful conversation to have.

I disagree. The control chip convo lead to good introspection and allowed to see changes in Miranda's personality that ocurred during the games.
That's not to say I don't wish the subject was never approached but, quite frankly, the interactions with romanced Miranda in ME3 all seem to follow a very fatalistic theme. In the very last conversation, she even attempts to say goodbye, certain that they are will not survive, while Shepard is the more hopefull of the pair.
Ultimately, detailed talks about the future would have seemed out of place in ME3. Maybe if there was an epilogue similar to the one in DA:Origins.

Not dehumanize, but having casual sex and not being able to have children is supposed to be a turnoff for men. And a lot of people did dump her.

It actually had the opposite effect on me. I felt bad for her and wanted to hug her. That's it.

She's not socially awkward at all (nor will she be again),

I saw no indication in the dossier that she was socially awkward. Only that she didn't know how to deal with emotional situations (the chat with Oriana)

she's had a previous relationship with Jacob, which was perfectly normal and healthy, a person she still cares about after the fact.

Having one night stands does not prevent someone from having healthy relationships.
From a writing POV, it conflicts with each other, of course. But, in real life, the two are not mutally exclusive.
Besides, I still stand by my theory the purpose of that one night stand was to get pregnant.

Yeah, that part is epic.
Still, I can't help but shake off the feeling they put that together at the last minute; after November's leak, to be more precise; just for our sake.

Of course they did, which is why I feel guilty about enjoying it so much. I get the feeling they wanted her to be with Ori during the battle, but this allows for the possibility she's with Sword.

Dual edged sword to me. Yeah epic but also last minute and highlights the weakness of her main content imo. Taught me a lesson about vocality.

If I'm not mistaken, Sword was engaging the Reaper fleet the entire time.
For Shepard to be able to contact her on London, she would have to be with Hammer.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Another control chip convo was so not needed imo.

Thanks to the ending, any talk of the future is irrelevant. Control chip convo is better, even if it does make FShep sound like she's got the hots for Miranda.

So, contrary to our suspicions, no noticeable variation between romanced and non-romanced Shepard during the "Control Chip talk"?
They cut so much.

That talk Kelly has about Cerberus we all envied? It's not in the game.

FShep obviously doesn't get sex, but she does get all the lines about how Miranda could have changed her but didn't, etc. Hale even sounds more in awe than Meer.

idk, Kasumi is with sword (helping with thye crucible) and you contact her with the holo vid.

btw, do you think that is a good headcanon having Oriana helping with the crucible? She has the brain to help there.

Could make it easier to headcanon a S/S relationship there.

Another way to fix this is to simple have someone else carry the child to term. Either a real person or use an artificial uterus.

From the above description it sounds like her eggs are fine.

To be honest, now that I read that, it sounds like whoever wrote the dossier didn't do enough medical research. Those types of tumors don't grow. Why wasn't it removed? And the wording they used is "conceive", not "carry to term". The dossier makes it seem like her benign tumor prevents conception.....in reality, this benign tumor is most likely uterine fibroids, which can be treated.....

::sigh:: don't mean to get technical on here but it's writing like that that irritates me. If you're trying to assassinate a character in text, then do it right.

I believe JB is referring to the chat that was in the script where Kelly talks about her dealings with TIM personally...I remember it created a ruckus here once it was found due to the fact that Miranda had nothing resembling that and she was a top operative.  But this was eventually cut from the game (not sure if the sound files have it or it was cut before she recorded those lines)

To be honest there was lots of good stuff cut from the game (Extended Anderson talk, Joker swooping down with the Normandy to save the team on London, etc)

I know this was discussed before, but does Miranda only die if you break up with her in the first conversation? Reason being, I told Miranda I still wanted to be with her, but then I continued my romance with Ashley, which automatically broke it off with Miranda.
Miranda still survived at the Sanctuary.

Wouldn't she be with Shield, then?
Regardless, Kasumi would be inside a warship with technology to contact Earth. Miranda requested a private fighter where she wouldn't even have room to stand up.
Or am I mixing spaceships?

Interesting dichotomy. In the friendship path, Miranda's last words are a promise to Shep to be careful.

Indeed. I pointed out all the flaws in this about a week after LotSB came out. This sounds as if it could be treated by 20the century medicine. Thus, I feel justified in doing with her infertility as I see fit.

Yeah I got the same impression awhile ago when I first did the research. Seems like such a simple problem to fix with 22nd century tech.

Seeing as it copies a lot of stuff basically word for word, with a few extra details as embellishment, I'd say the odds are near 100% of that being the case.

It also doesn't really *fit* with anything else in the game.

I would also like to know this.
