Update for all you Synthesis lovers who choose the green path. :-) My brother's EMS rating 7000+ with multi-player galactic readiness at 100%... wait for it... Shepard walks out of the Normandy alive.! WTF

I'm working on the earth part to see the destroy ending if it's any different. Don't know yet. I have 100% readiness and almost 8k with the N7 special ops you get from multi-player added. Each lvl 20 character you get from Multi-player = roughly 75 points for that team, "character" you promote for your war assets. No idea if Miranda pops out or not he wasn't romancing her... I think it was Ash or Liara he romance will ask him again.

If that's true I bet it only happens with Liara, VS, Tali or Garrus.

My favorite is still the two of them being functional immortals after Synthesis.

Well, that does sound like fun Image IPB

I'm using that scenario as well, though in a slightly different way. What most people don't get about the Synthesis is that it's supposed to be something good, the problems with changing people's nature without consent notwithstanding. Apart from the meta-reasoning that you'll need higher EMS to get it than for the other options, all the imagery points to it as well. The transcendentalist phrasing, the sacrifice of "all that you are", the hint that there will be peace (instead of destruction or obeisance). "We will all be the same" is nonsense. As a comparison: all life on Earth is based on DNA and amino acids? Is life on Earth all the same?

So, in my eyes it's perfectly plausible to claim that post-Synthesis life will be able to overcome fundamental human limitations as well as retaining all the diversity that there has been before, perhaps even more so, since it's also plausible to assume that individuals will ultimately be able to remake themselves in some fashion - similar to the way EDI reprograms herself in ME3.

The only problem is how to make Shepard come back in order to be with Miranda. That needs a a little space magic, but essentially it's nothing more than a galaxy-wide version of how the geth put themselves together from fragments of code to gain intelligence. In the end, the idea is so very romantic that it's irresistible to find a way to make it happen.

Miranda on TIM's base should've been a foregone conclusion. We rarely talked about it before the leaked script because we all "knew" that if Miranda has a significant presence in ME3 at all, it would happen. Perhaps we should've talked about it more.

Joker: Alright, this isn't so bad. Stuck in paradise for the rest of our days.

Shepard: It doesn't make any sense, we were knocked out of the Relay's corridor. We should be in the dead zone between star clusters, but we're on a habitable world. I wasn't even on the Normandy when you entered the relay.

Joker: So, we're alive and in one piece. Bit glowy now thanks to that Synth-thing you did but that's alright. Right EDI?

EDI: The Commander raises a valid point Jeff, the odds of us landing on a habitable planet that isn't connected to the Relay network is incredibly low. The fact that the Commander is in the same location as we are without entering a relay is statistically impossible.

Shepard: For all we know we could just be dead, in some sort of Reaper simulation, or something else.

Joker: Well if I see any polar bears or fog monsters roaming the jungle I'll be sure to let you know.

ROFL. You hit Joker perfectly. Just a note: "Statistically impossible" is an oxymoron. If something has a probability of zero, you don't need statistics.

As for the original claim. I'll believe that once I've cheated myself up to 7000 EMS and see it on my own sceen. :P

What is your favorite Miranda line from ME3?

"No promises" at the end of the first conversation. The tone is perfect. Subtly challenging and half-joking at the same time. In two words you'll know she will be as careful as she can, but that whatever she's going to do takes priority.

"Finish this....and find me"

"No second thoughts? This is your chance to back out" The voice acting is perfect here.

Well, she has limited lines, but I like this one. "Everyone has a weakness. Even the reapers."

Everyone knows that it's an impossible war to win, but she still believes in victory.

btw, I need to import one more character from mp and I'll have +7000 EMS.

It almost seems like they were planning something, ran out of time or resources and just shipped the game with what they had. This seems to be the case with a lot of what happens after Sanctuary, they hit a crunch and it shows. ME3 really could use a director's cut version similar to what CD Projekt did with The Witcher, go back do what you want to do and then offer it as a patch or free DLC.

Yeah I remember saying the bolded part to myself during my first run.

These. After Sanctuary everything seems to collapse into a black hole.

I was surprised to see they only needed two years or so to create such a massive game, supposed to bring closure to pretty much everything we saw in the last two prequels while adding a lot of new content. It appears to be extremely short and well... it shows in my opinion.

about her looks in ME3

My memory tells me that she looked different in ME2. Did they change her hair somehow and made the forehead bigger? Its weird looking at her in ME3 and I cant really explain why.

Here's some great work-in-progress Miranda fan art by Katashii, recently posted in its own thread:

She does look a little different, and I think it's mainly the change in hair...it honestly just looks weird from any angle that's not just front on. Especially the back of the head. Much prefer ME2's style.

I prefer the ME3 look from -any- angle. The ME2 hair was pretty horrible.

Completely agree. Hair in ME3 makes her a little"fixed" then how she was in ME2.

It's not insanely horrible, but it's like they didn't put any effort into the back of her head really. I love the rest of her character model, but from certain angles I just get too distracted by that hair lol.

Oh well, that's not the attribute that makes me appreciate Miranda's character or the ME Story, so it doesn't bother me much in the end.

While Miranda would have been a good choice to assault TIM's base with Shepard, I think the writers went with EDI because they wanted to develop her character more. That's what I think anyway.

If you think about it, the pieces do sort of fall in place. We already know a lot about Miranda and her involvement with Cerberus and Project Lazarus, but when it comes to EDI, we never really knew where she came about; how she was constructed, what she was constructed from, what the true purpose for her prescence on the Normandy SR-2 was according to The Illusive Man, etc. I would have liked Miranda to be there for TIM's base assault, but I can't help but think it would be rather redundant in regards to Miranda's character background and what we know. Not to mention, TIM would have locked her out; anything Miranda knew about the base would be null if she couldn't get Shepard to where he needed to go. EDI however TIM never expected for Joker to unshackle her so he never adjusted security to keep EDI out. It was a great opportunity for us to learn more about EDI and BioWare delivered on that regard. I was really surprised hearing all the new info on EDI's origins.

Besides, I do believe in the Cronos Base hangar, EDI tells Shepard that if she wasn't with him then Cerberus would have vented the hangar and they'd all be dead.

No, it wouldn't have been redundant. How does she feel about the organization she served for twenty years becoming monsters? Right now, she looks like a sociopath because it doesn't even cross her mind. The EDI backstory is optional. Her presence seems to be an artifact of an earlier draft where the body had data locked away that EDI could only access after coming aboard.

Indeed her presence during the TIM's base assault would have brought closure to her past with Cerberus and to the Cerberus arc as a whole, just like Mordin or Legion for act I and II. Well, at least she gives us his location.
If you would have asked me who would have the key role for TIM's base mission a few months ago I would have said that Miranda was the designated woman for that role, just like many of us.

We would have had more info about the Lazarus Project, an on-screen conversation between TIM, Miranda and Shepard and a re-match against Kai Leng. Wouldn't it be more interesting ?
If I could, I'd take Miranda over EDI anytime for this mission.

Moreover I think Oriana can go someplace safe on her own, she is just as ressourceful as Miranda, she doesn't need her sister.

I dunno. It really shouldn't be necessary to spoon feed the writers.

There's really no conflict with EDI being involved, since the scenario has to function without Miranda anyway. So, with Miranda, you get an additional option or something along those lines.

Yeah a lot of the hair models in ME3 have that for some reason. Had to give all my femsheps short hair for that reason.

I dunno, I don't like the new character model quite as much, but the new face and hair strike me as an improvement, albeit a mild one.
