James was inspired by the Winter Solder from Marvel Comics. I nailed most of Bucky's features on the face but his profile looks a lot like the Governator. Now all I can picture is Shepard yelling "GET TO THE CHOPPA" during an N7 mission.

Does Brynn feel like a Miranda substitute to anyone else?
Not exactly, the first thing I noticed was that Jo Wyatt was her VA. Then all I could picture is her playing the ME version of Hawke.

Well, I thought Miranda as "the future of humanity" should have played into this.

-Udina seems to be a really sympathetic character so far. Had he been this way back in ME1 instead of backstabbing Shep and grounding the Normandy, I would have had no problem with making him Councillor.
-I like the new graphics detail (for lack of a better term). Everyone so far looks quite different. On a side note, my Mom likes to watch me play because she likes Sci-Fi and you can add her to the group of people who mistook Ash for Miranda when she saw her at Alliance HQ.
-I don't really like the new Normandy. I know it was unfinished being retrofitted when the Reapers attacked and it shows. Seems like a mess, plus it's really dark. I suppose I'll get used to it eventually.
-Do we get a pic of Miranda for our cabin? I know you did in ME2 if you romanced someone in ME1, just wondering if we get one of her in ME3.
Anyway, time to go get Prothy.

I wouldn't buy it, not until more is done about the endings. I don't even care if they change them I just want loopholes answered and not a whole bunch of randomness tossed my way.

Current squad makeup is Ash, Liara, and Sentinel Shepard. Ash gives a weapons damage bonus and Liara gives a biotics bonus. Shepard knocks down defenses and sets up warp bombs while the rest of the squad cleans house.
Also on the subject of EDI I thought for a minute that her alternate appearance had her wearing Miranda's loyalty outfit.

I would say that everyone else has become like Miranda. And THAT's fantastic where the other way wouldn't be.jtav wrote...
Something dawned on me. I love Synthesis, and I spend a lot of time thinking about how life might be changed. Increased durability/lifespan seems likely, and I've come up with other things. Everyone has been rewritten on a molecular level. Miranda has become normal in the sense that she shares a new "DNA" with other organics. It's very possible that everybody has an increased lifespan strength, etc--those things that were once exclusive to Miranda and Oriana by virtue of their genes. She's become just like everyone else--and that's fantastic.
Maybe then she could feel more pride in herself.
Though I don't take that "hybrid DNA" at face value. It defies logic. If something has a DNA analogue, it's organic in every way that counts, no matter the biochemistry. I'd rather think that the new "physical perfection" involves things organic bodies can't produce. Self-replicating synthetic symbionts, if you want. Children inherit those trom their parents, but don't grow them themselves. If they become attached to the brain the individual's identity rests partly in them. That way people become "part synthetic".
Edit:
Has anyone here seen the California Literary Review ME3 review? It says ME3's ending is of the kind that ruins dreams. I found this very apt. I've posted excerpts here.

Well while i don't necessarily find the idea of inventing a form synthesis abhorrent. I find the idea in effect of invading and replacing the dna of every living thing abhorrent and little better than letting the reapers transform them. As for Miranda i always thought she should accept and apprecaite her differences and therefore don't think it is fantastic.

It would be fun to have Miranda around, but it's really less important than improving the character's story and getting some closure on important things like Cerberus/Miranda's genetic engineering, etc. That would probably involve her being on the squad for a while, but not necessarily for all that long. So, that would be my choice.

I don't know either, sure it would be pleasant to have her back on our side and she'd surely have more screentime but given what happens to the Normandy Crew ... afterall, in our despair we got out lucky.
A compromise would be nice, like having her as a temp.
I must say I'm kinda glad there's no other squadmate like her, she's the best
In ME3, I usually take Liara and Javik, with a Sentinel or a Vanguard you can set off Biotic Explosions all day, to the point that I don't even have to shoot my gun.

I would love to have some decent missions with Miranda and have some more dialogue and bring back the good old days with having Miranda in my squad. But with the current ending I am glad she is on earth considering there is more chance of seeing Miranda again than I have seeing Ashley, Liara or Tali again.
But if it did come available I know I would buy as soon as possible

Yeah, Yannkee and Vertigo worked together on that, there's a link towards the end of the OP of this thread.

Am I the only one who thinks that despite the romance being shorter, it's better than the ME2 one? I'm actually rooting for them as a couple now. Before I thought it had all the depth of the romance in a Bond movie. And now, I think he loves her.
Well, I like the tone of it better, especially where Shepard's dialogue is concerned, but I wouldn't rate it as objectively better, no. For one thing, it depends pretty heavily on references to ME2.
If it were fleshed out more, and were more fully implemented as a romance, I would probably rate it higher for the reason stated (Shepard's side of it is much better).

I'm replaying the ME2 romance arc in my head and comparing it with the ME3 one, they are now deeply in love with each other. Perhaps they are more intimate and playful. Shepard acts like a real boyfriend.
Also, you could see that "improvement' as the evolution of their relationship. In ME3, they surely know each other better than anyone else, in ME2 they were "discovering" each other.
However it would need to be more fleshed out but compared to the other ME2 exclusive LIs it is relatively good.
