... Perhaps I should clarify before anyone gets confused. I like that they're going back to Miranda's father. I've wanted to meet him since hearing about him in ME2 for the first time. Oriana... She can be done away with.

Just coming off of the Tuchanka mission with my Shepard James, I chose to lie to Wreav and the Krogan because I felt that curing the Genophage with Wreav in charge would just lead to another galactic war. The only thing with all of this is that to choose that option I had to shoot Mordin, which still really bothers me.
The only thing is that the discussions with the crew afterward talk about Mordin being a hero and how great it was that the Genophage is cured and Shepard's animations suggest that he's putting up the "fearless leader" fascade when he's feeling conflicted over what happened.

Ok, so a side mission like former cerberus scientists or the monastery in Asari territory should be enough.Ieldra2 wrote...

I must be honest ME3 Miranda is pretty lame and uninteresting. Every line is Oriana, Oriana, Oriana. I thought it wouldn't bug me but I hate it. I don't feel the romance as strongly as I did before, seems like a lot of work and no payoff.
All of the ME2 characters are lame and uninteresting in their own idiotic ways (Except Mordin and Legion, heaven forbid the 2 most popular characters have terrible roles).
At least (in my opinion) Miranda wasn't shafted 100%, only 80%.

You're not the only one. jtav does such a fantastic job with Miranda, completely in line with her in-game portrayal but so much more at the same time.TheMarshal wrote...
Seriously... I sometimes forget that jtav's Miranda isn't "canon",
All the more indication how much potential Bioware didn't realize when someone else does it so well.

Every line is Oriana, Oriana, Oriana.
Tell me about. I feared it ever since we started speculating. Oriana plot hook was one of my top do not wants. I didn't really see much character growth either for Miranda. I liked how the relationship seemed more natural and balanced, but I don't really learn anything new about Miranda in ME3.

I actually don't mind Bioware touching back to her LM (Technically, it was never actually resolved, unlike everyone else's).

Well, as an example, I've always liked the Oriana stuff as an extra layer for Miranda's character.
After ME3, I pretty much want to kill her (Oriana) with my bare hands
Somebody screwed up somewhere.

The Drunk Tali conversation is one more evidence. It's the same one even if Miranda is alive and she talks about her as if she were dead.

I'd rather not kill Oriana at all. Better to have her close to Miranda (banter would be hilarious between the two especially if Shep is in a relationship with Miranda)
Well, it's nothing against Oriana. It's the way she's used in ME3. If she were used some other way, like you're describing, then I'd be cool with it.

The only thing about Oriana I would otherwise look forward to is her formally meeting Shepard. Of course, romance related banter is a plus.
Aside from that... Cheap "drama" via gunshot for everyone!.

How do I contact Miranda to warn her about Leng? The Wiki says to read my mail first (done) then go to the Spectre office and contact her on the terminal. I don't have that option at the moment.
Miranda emails you (The 2nd email you receive from her). If you read Kai Leng's dossier that Hackett reads you, then Shepard will automatically mention Leng to Miranda during the conversation in the Spectre office.

I would NOT be fine with this. Anything Jtav mentions about torturing, killing, making Miranda suffer, in any way imaginable, and even the death of Oriana is NOT what I want for Miranda. Some of you might think this is great but to me it is NOT. I'm really sorry but I'm glad your not a bioware writer.
Maybe I'm a little to protective of Miranda having to go through any unnecessary torture.

And yeah, you're not the only one. But were the option in the game, I still wouldn't do it because of what that would do to Miranda. I would've preferred she stayed in the background without any link to Miranda's story in ME3. Or even better, a scenario where Oriana asserts her independence from Miranda by rejecting what Miranda wants for her, so that Miranda can let some of her protectiveness go. How about Oriana joining a merc group?
@enyasoul:
Those scenarios are the bad ones. If you're thinking of how you'd write Miranda's story in ME3 you also need to think of the bad outcomes. Read jtav's "Shadow War" to see where she wants Miranda to be. Now thoroughly AU of course.

Part of me wishes she had just been utterly unimportant in ME3. Either she doesn't appear at all beyond emails or vidcomms or she is in the game but Miranda chose to infiltrate Sanctuary because of the experiments being performed there and Oriana being there was just an happy ocurrence.
And then there is another part of me who kind of wishes Oriana had been turned into a Human Banshee.
It's not like we gained anything from Oriana being in the game. I haven't tried a playtrhough where Miranda died in ME2 yet but with Miranda alive, Oriana has barely two lines and is quite pathetic.
