So will I. I wonder why so few people see those infinite possibilities.

Possibilities aside, the problems are far greater. Surely you see them.

In any case if the ME universe survives the giant middle finger explosion that is the RGB I would look forward to seeing some of those possibilities explored properly in future works.

The horrific consequences aren't exclusive to Synthesis, either.

I don't think Bioware thought the final minutes of the game through very well.

yeah, talking about morale!

I like to rationalize it as a short talk between Hackett and Joker.

"Joker, disengage from the battle, fly down to the surface, and kidnap Shepard's crew. If they resist, inject them with animal tranquilizer! Make sure, whatever you do, LEAVE SHEPARD! ...Stop asking questions, just do it!"

This. Synthesis is the only option I even remotely like. I would hate if the previous options I had taken dictated that I take one of the other two.

Granted I've only seen the ending once, but I remember seeing Anderson "shown" heading for the Destroy option and TIM head over to the Control one, but I also believe I saw Shep being the one to go over to the Synthesis one.

You are aware that you're allowed to hate all of them right? You don't have to "pick" one.  Just saying.

Yes he was on Earth, but then he teleports back to Normandy and comes out of the hatch if he was your LI

Goes to show how Joker prioritizes the Normandy's shuttle pilot over the man/woman who's saved the galaxy numerous times.

Isn't he just a good friend?

I got poor Cortez killed. Oddly enough, Ash was the only one who exited the Normandy besides EDI and Joker for me. I was expecting it to be Garrus or Tali.

Especially the one which can be argued as the most damning.

It gets worse. The transmission of matter between Relays is instantaneous. Therefore, if the Normandy barely managed to escape the explosion, Joker had to have used the Relay just mere seconds before it was hit by the Crucible.
So, what the hell was he thinking? "OMG, giant laser beam! It's soooooo pretty! Let's see where it goes!" or maybe he saw what was happening and decided "Hell no! I am not getting trapped in the Sol System with the rest of you losers. Screw you guys, I'ma going to Thessia!"

I don't like any of them really because everything was so poorly thought out. Unlike Destroy and Control though, I can at least somewhat stomach Synthesis.

@MisterJB

He should've headed for Palaven.

It depends on who you have in your squad during the Conduit run, I believe.

No, I genuinely like Synthesis. The Catalyst has nothing to do with it.

Tuchanka is closer to Earth than Palaven, if the map is accurate.

Plus it has a guard dog named Kalros.

You're fine with space magic?

Have you thought of the potential consequences?

Did Javik tell you about the zha and zha'til?

Palaven is full of angry birds with sticks up their asses. Thessia has blue babes that just love to meddle with different species.

Well, if the Conduit run effects who comes out of the Normandy, that would make sense. I was closer to Ash than Javik.

Joker being in the space between Relays makes no sense.
I'd think the Normandy, the most advanced ship in the galaxy, would be fighting with the rest of the Sword Fleet.
I was so looking foward to see the Normandy squaring off against Harbinger.

It could be possible to be between two relay points. But the fact that Joker is fleeing through a relay while we're shown that the battle for Earth is still going on makes no sense.

I sort of maintained the idea that after a cycle is complete the entire relay network is rearranged so that the species that are expected to "develop" during the next cycle will have access to the system. It wouldn't make sense to have relays continue to connect to decimated worlds when life is still evolving elsewhere in the galaxy.

I've forgotten already but where does Oriana end up? Is it on Horizon with her family?

So given the relays etc going to hell Miranda can't see Oriana again?

They also mooch off of other peoples' technology and hide it from people, so they can use it to artificially advance themselves.

They are SciFi gold diggers, or tech diggers.

Completely different situations. Synthesis is not uploading VIs into the minds of organics anymore than it is (somehow) transmitting organic minds into the geth.

Hey, you're preaching to the choir. I hate the asari as much as anyone else, they're genocidal, selfish and hypocritical.
But since galactic civilization has fallen, you might as well go for the planet with the blue babes that are, at least, quite pleasant to look at.
It's better than Pallaven or Tuchanka

I saw the breakup vid. I saw how Miri's face changed drastically, and I saw the tears. Why would anyone do that? The player ends up breaking her heart, AND ends up condemning her to death.Image IPB

Synthesis is the chance for physical and mental improvement. Imagine if everyone had a superior immune system or the ability to learn via downloading knowledge. There's nothing sacred about the body as is. I'll take my chances, given how my organic form failed me.

It doesn't. I didn't have Javik in my squad in London, and he came out of Normandy. The only thing we know for sure if that the LI will come out. The other person seems rather random

You'll have to explain that first one to me. As for the other two, who isn't? There's no reason to hate the asari any more than any other species.

@MEFan

Smart aleck answer: Kaidan's available now, and I wanted to be honorable.

Serious answer: It's great VA and animation work. I saw it and reloaded. But I find effectively forcing me to continue the romance reprehensible on BWs part.
