Yeah, I know. Miranda fits every ugly stereotype that I feared she would. I find myself increasingly ignoring her ME3 role beyond that nice romance bits and a bare-bones description of her plot. This…thing in ME3 isn't Miranda. She's an imitation who looks and sounds the same.

I actually thought of pursuing Liara during my second playthrough because of all the guilt trip moments in the game even if dumped her for Miranda twice already. First, she "writes my name on stars" then she gives me this undeniably sweet gift in London. However, I chose to stick with Miranda in all playthroughs yey!

Watching the break-up vid, I was really really surprised! I expected her to just say "Oh okay, mission comes first... I'd do the same thing. Gotta go and find Orianda" in a very accepting and professional manner. I thought Miranda only saw Shepard as a fling, since she's always away looking for Ori but the break-up video was one of the defining moments where you could see that she actually loves Shepard. I had to watch it more than two times, cause I couldn't believe it lol

That's Bull****! When it comes to Mass Effect, Miranda is My "One True Love!"

Bull****. Complete and utter bull****. I don't give a damn what some variable says or who holds favor among the devs. Although "I'll die if you dump me" is rather melodramatic, I am completely convinced she loves a romancing Shepard and am equally convinced my Shepard (and any other that willingly follows through the romance to the end for its own sake) loves her as well.

lol, when I agree with MEFan, not just on ideas but emotions as well, you know it's "serious business":lol:

At least we have the consolation of knowying that we have the option of making Miranda's romance in ME3 so much more than just BondGirl stereotypes. It's more about looking towards a better future, really.
Just look at Jacob. That would have been us had we not the single largest fanbase of any ME2 character.

Yeah, the way they pushed Liara is....enraging. Not only did she usurp Miranda's office and her role as the Normandy's intelligence gatherer, no, they made her into the primary ninja-mancer of ME3, made it impossible to leave her behind or kill her, added that extra special she gives Shepard regardless of romance, "forget" to include anyone else but Ashley/Kaidan in the flashback and to add to that they hint at her as the canonical LI in the Final Hours app.

Grrr......*fumes* *throws rotten tomatoes at the one responsible*

I think she has a quite satisfying ending compared to your squadmates!! Look at it this way, at least she's stuck with a whole civilization and not marooned in some Gilligan's planet <_<

Sure she loves him. But you can get a sense of the story that the writers really want to tell. And in that story, Miranda is the temptress and not the true love.

Don't care. Each of us takes this story and makes it our own. Thats the whole point of Mass Effect.

There is no canon. The second they try and push canon on me is the second I renounce all of Mass Effect.

At some point, they wanted the child in the stargazer epilogue appear "a little like asari." Then apparently they remembered that asari children are all full asari and dropped the idea.

But why so much special treatment for Liara? Miri is a VERY Popular Character. Her Fanbase is Enormous, so why not have the same things as Liara???? It is not fair.

When Cortez said "Welcome back to the Alliance, commander." and my Shepard smiled instead of telling him to go to Hell, that was the point I knew there was a canon.

Are you sure that wasn't from the notes Gibbed (the guy who makes the save editors) found within the game and not the app?  Because I don't see this in the stargazer part of the app.

I would have imagined a Mission where Miri would be part of your Squad, during the TIM Base Mission, then at the end she could either take over that base (Like Liara in LOTSB), or stay with us.

Let's hope for a DLC, or at least fight for one.

Miranda's archetype is the beautiful female henchmen of the villain who isn't shy about her sexuality, unlike the hero's pure and virginal true love. She dies, is redeemed, or both. She never gets the hero.

I don't know anything about the development of Shadow Broker, since I bought ME2 after LotSB came out.

No, jtav. In My Play Through, Miri DOES get the Hero, NOT BioWare's blue mascot. Miri Survives, AND gets the Hero, Liara does NOT.
