just watched some vids of yvonne's fight scenes on chuck and now I can't stop thinking about her playing miranda on a mass effect movie.......I would pay to watch that regardless the end

Sorry, but I don't want Yvonne representg Miranda on a ME movie. I believe Olivia wilde is far better than her.

Yeah, she could make most of the action scenes herself.
But this kind of scene is also one of the reason why I think she could be perfect for the role :

I doubt it would be good anyway. I'm not interested in seeing Liara in every scene because you know she'll be the LI.

Honestly, the way movie development works, I doubt the story and characters would be all that recognizable in any event.

Even if she survived the Suicide Mission, Shepard would return to Liara in ME3, break up with Miranda and she would sacrifice herself to save Oriana and shut down Sanctuary. And the last words Kai Leng would hear are "That was for Miranda, you son of a b*tch".

Something like that, but I'd kill her in the SM. Someone has to die there, and it has to be someone the audience cares for. Enter the beautiful romantic obstacle who initially doubts our hero.

Anyway, I don't think I could accept a different Mass Effect story than the one I shaped with the games. So I won't watch the movie.

Agreed but you know *sarcasm* canons are necessary for morality's sake.  For example Liara as the true and purest love and Miranda as the tragic redemption figure and fleeting love.

 The person who voices and is the model for a character wouldn't suit the role....right.

Well, I think everybody prefers Yvonne in the game. I can understand the idea that, if some people had to choose between more Miranda with a recast, and less Miranda with Yvonne, they would choose the former. But, since I don't think that was ever an issue, it strikes me as a bit of a moot point.

Be surprised how much of a character that is. Changing it now would just ruin it.

Without the VO it's just words on a page...  BioWare got smart with adding VO's to their characters. It brings out a much more POWERFUL emotional reaction.  I don't care what you believe.  It's true...  VO's make the character along with the guidence of the director.  They bring them to life.
