@Jebel:
Just this: you can control expression all you want - if there is nothing to express, the trait will not manifest. For any one gene, if all of Miranda's children mate with regular humans, half of their children won't even carry it to be expressed.

Lux, I really think you should publish the next chapter regardless... in other words me dun wanna wait a week for the next chapter :(

Yes. Yes it is.Posted Image

No, it's a full-fledged interlude chapter.Posted Image

I sent it to somebody else to try to push it out the door sooner. I'll update it with a better version when my beta sends it back. I'm loathe to put up faulty chapters cause those things are what people tend to remember.

Nice Ieldra, except her eyes no longer quite match space in the shot in front of the window.

Actually:

"This will be at teh BioWare Base in teh Hilton Gaslamp hotel. You do not need to have a Comic Con badge (which I believe are sold out) to come and see us or play the demo.

You also do not have to slip me $20 while standing in line. You don't have to. I encourage it, but you don't have to. It won't get you in any sooner or anything, but I still encourage it. Posted Image"

So you CAN go there AND try the demo without paying anything!

Sorry, Ieldra. I notice because it's one of the shots that has rendered me momentarily speechless.

"Thanks for clearing that up! So, are many actors coming in to do work? or just a lot of content being recorded? or both?"

"Yes, again! A full week of sessions with actors who'll be recording rather critical dialogue. So we can't screw up. :)"

@Ieldra2: Love the last two shots, especially the last one where she smiles :wizard:

Well, for me she doesn't wear the Armor ALL the time, only in battle. So I STILL get to see her in her TIGHT Black Catsuit on the Normandy.;)

I've backed off on using the armor until JeanLuc delivers the hi-res version. But in terms of standard in-game graphics, I never want to see the catsuits again.

Putting these two side-by-side, I love the little smile she has on the bottom one. Beautiful.

Fantastic capture, Iedra.

How cautious do you think Miranda would be entering into a romance when she doesn;t have the mission complicating things?

Interesting question.

For all her pragmatism she seems capable of being surprisingly impulsive. One gets the impression that she takes what she wants... a very positive personality trait in my opinion.

I don't think that extant circumstances would necessarily get in the way of that... in some respects the time to think that not facing certain death grants may slow her down rather than speed her up.

I could see her wanting to take more time, prolong and enjoy the sensations, tease out the pleasures rather than rush them.

She would likely be just as assertive as she is portrayed in ME2, yes, but I agree that she might find the time to make it a more playful, almost protracted experience.
When she's got means and a purpose, I can see her make the most of it. For as long as possible. Whether that purpose is aware of her desires or not.

Okay so I really tried reading through the 177 pages of replies, but I capped at about 5 or so.. So please refrain from telling me "this has been discussed".

Are you guys pretty confident that Miranda will return as a Mass Effect 3 permanent squad mate?

Because I reckon she will due to her plot armor in the SM. I know a lot of people say that this was just because Bioware wanted to simplify things by having just one squad mate have speaking roles during the SM, which I agree with but I think that the reason they picked Miranda to have these speaking roles, and hence have such heavy plot armor was because they have plans for her in the next installment. Also due to Cerberus hunting you down in the not too distant future (bout 8 months or so?) she kind of fits the platter story wise. Well hopefully at least.

Also I reckon the argument that because she can die then she can't return is rubbish, going by that logic then Garrus and Tali can't return either... Plus, I'm not sure if it's just me who reckons this, but Miranda was kind of the lead squad mate in the ME2... would make sense that if any of the characters (other than Garrus and Tali) from the second game were to make the jump, she would be first pick?

I'm skeptical simply because we're running out of spots.
