A Paragon Miranda who wants to be ordinary is my nightmare scenario.

Mr. Lawson probrably considered that an heir without biotic abilities was not an heir worth keeping. And it's less dangerous to place Miranda's fate in the hands of a skilled surgeon than to expose a one year old baby to element zero and fingers crossed, let's hope she grows eezo nodules and not tumors.Arijharn wrote...
I don't have hard evidence no, but I don't see why it should be automatically dismissed out of hand, because I find it hard to believe that Mr. Lawson would agree to have his 'success' (and by what measurable standard) further 'endangered' some 7 years after her birth.

This. I liked Miranda best right when we met her. I would be mad as hell if they turned her into a Paragon and erased her femme fatale image.jtav wrote...

I'm hoping they noticed us shouting for a year. It was never about Miranda's looks for me. I was drawn in by her brilliance, ambiguity, torment, and love for her sister. And I certainly don't need my ego fed by having Shepard show her the light.

Thanks

OK, he could have created 20 identical babies and exposed them all. He could've discarded the failures and kept Miranda as the only success. Still the scenario is anything else but plausible as long as there is no hint of evidence that the timeline might be wrong.
@Arijharn:
What you're overlooking is that there could've been any number of reasons why the Prothean ruins weren't discovered earlier. We don't know any of the location's details. You start giving reasons why it's unlikely, I start giving reasons why it's likely. It doesn't change anything. As long as there is no hint that someone actually did know not only of eezo's existence, but of it's proporties for triggering telekinetic abilities significantly before 2149, any alternative explanation remains a conspiracy theory and there is no reason to prefer it to the canon- and timeline-compatible hypothesis.

I don't think they can pull that off convincingly. Consider that she might be your LI. Zevran is not a good comparison, since he didn't know the Warden before. No, I don't think we'll get the blackmail scenario.jtav wrote...
The million-credit question is whether the outfit sports a Cerberus logo. I say yes. She'll be blackmailed into working with Cerberus via Oriana. We may even get a boss battle, like with Zevran.
@Deckard:
No idea. Perhaps wrapping things up. Addressing elements of sidequests that never got resolved.

i read months ago that ME3 will have the New game plus and the thing where you can still play the game after you finish the main game just like ME2. so wrapping up things could be done after the main plot right? it just seems like after defeating the reapers there is nothing else that would be worth shepards time. i mean if i was him/her all i would want to do is take a long vaction.

Hmm....I have this truly irrational hope that Strahovski will voice Miranda's lines around ComicCon, and then I'll get to see Miranda's first appearance in ME3 at GamesCom.AresXX7 wrote...

On the subject of changes: New outfit, and maybe hairstyle. Better hair textures due to new hair 'tech' and shadows being added in. Hopefully the 'valley' gets fixed alongside that.
Shame we can't at least get a headshot of Miranda, to see what those features could look like.
Therefore, the outfit, itself, wouldn't be shown, so we are still in the dark as to whether or not she will be affiliated with Cerberus.(as jtav had pointed out, before, if it had the logo on it, or not)

No, but there are people who would like nothing better than for Miranda's life to revolve 100% around Shepard and for her to act all emotional all the time.DeckardWasAReplicant wrote...

Seconded. Do they not realize how utterly boring such a Miranda would be and how she would be no fit partner for Shep?

who was your favorite before ME2 was released? Garrus? Tali? Wrex? Mine will always be Saren. I wish they kept him as like a professor moriatry for shepard.
That's hardly on topic, but mine was Nihlus.
Anyway, what do you guys think about Miranda's possible weaponry? Same hand gun + SMG or do you think she'll get to play around with an assault rifle?

Didn't they say at E3 that we will choose weapons before the mission? Meaning that anybody could use any weapon or was that only for Shep?

I think it's only for Shep. For Miranda, I'd like to see her fighting with a SMG and a sniper rifle. I only hope that this time in the cutscenes Bioware will not give companions assault rifle when they can't use it. Make them using the weapon they can in the gameplay, or give us the possibiliy tochoose what weapon our companion can use.
Anyway, my favourite ME character was Wrex. He's still my favourite companion with Mordin (with Miranda and Legion more or less equally under them, and then Garrus. Though I have to say that my top list usualy changes every time I replay ME or ME2, but the top 5 are always them).
