The point is that Shepard has super-human upgrades after ME2.

I would prefer a Samara-styled suicide than her begging to be put down like a sick dog.

Ideally, Miranda would suceed where TIM failed.
Take the Reaper's technology and make it her own.

So? He isn't automatically the Hulk now. He can still die from stab wounds and gunshots like everyone else. Cybernetics are turning into what Die Hard uses hacking for: plot spackle. Actually, no. ME uses hacking like plot spackle too.

When he headbutted Uvenk, he rubbed the back of his neck like he regretted doing it.

Less than an hour left if you want to write a letter about what you liked/disliked (and what you'd wish) about Miranda in ME3

Make sure to post it in this thread: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/325/index/10853184/1 or PM Visii

So, he can accomplish feats that would not be possible for common humans. Drink poison, shoot a Claymore/Widow without shattering his arm.
That he can break Leng's blade is what bothers you?

Breaking his blade was badass enough that it gets a free pass even if it didn't make sense- which it does.

The poison I can forgive, because it would be pants-on-head retarded for Lazarus to implant cybernetics that can't protect against something as medieval as poison. The claymore/widow kinda-sorta makes sense, since we don't know exactly how powerful their kickback is, just that it's big enough to shatter someone's arm. I am actually willing to let that one slide (Just barely) because of gameplay mechanics.

But yes, Leng's blade bothers me, since Shepard was relaxed, and he just up and backhands his blade, sending it into itty bitty fragments? Granted, we don't know what material it was made of (I wouldn't bet on regular ol' steel though), but it just sort of comes from nowhere. One thing I forgot to bring up, Shepard's arm wouldn't have been able to build up enough speed to break Leng's blade as easily as he does, knowing how close Leng was standing behind Shepard, and Shepard's relaxed sitting position. Of course, that can be compensated by his cybernetics.

For the whole "precautions" against Kai Leng thing you guys were discussing an hour ago, I always thought Miranda got one or more of the upgrades that Shepard gets in ME2 to survive the encounter. She had no reason to get them before, but she also wasn't fighting a guy known to use a katana before. Maybe she got a hardened skin weave or something that allows the medi-gel to be more effective when used.

Going back to Kai Leng, is there any particular song that fits with his death?

I can't get
this song out of my head. Warning though: contains a few uses of strong language is 99% about death and murder.

That would be something.  Maybe a few extra energy drinks to keep her energy levels high?  I'm sure biotic attacks takes a lot out of her.

You could clearly see that her skin had a bluish tint/glow...after her big "No deal" with her father.  Seems part of her hairline were glowing shades of blue.  At least that's what it looked on my flat screen tv.  Miranda seemed quite "drained" of energy at that point.  Seeing her sitting on the floor.

How would (romanced) Miranda take a funeral for Shepard? I can't possibly imagine it would be anything other than deathly (See what I did?) somber.

I think the Funeral March by Frédéric Chopin fits nicely. The same tune played during JFK's procession. Just ignore the pictures in that video, they have almost nothing to do with the music.

Well, there are a good handful of people I can live without on my squad (IE: damn near all of them).

Sure.

Well on my playthough, I was more concerned with the fact that the blood and dirt on her face suddenly disappeared at some point in the dialouge. Freaked me out a little.

But I think it was probably not so much keeping her energy high for biotics as outlasting Kai Leng. The other times you meet him he leaves because his objectives change or are completed. She might have known that she couldn't just kill him when ever he popped up, so she just had to keep herself and Oriana alive for a few minutes. There's also the fact that she might have been defending Oriana, which changes her tactics too.

The way I see her and Kai Leng fighting, it's like how people say that if a martial artist and a boxer fought the martial artist would always win unless they fought in a telephone booth. Miranda's specialty is not hand to hand, Kai Leng's apparently is. Keeping distance from a phantom unless you can paralyze it or are a melee class yourself is how you deal with them in Multiplayer, and Kai Leng is like the boss phantom. Or the prototype phantom.

From the squad, I would glady sacrifice: Vega, Liara, EDI, Garrus and Tali just to have Miranda at my side. VS and Javik no. The vs was already margined during in ME2, and Javik is the only worthy character from the squad.

Save the Prothean, save the world. Something like that.

In all seriousness, I'm right there with you. The VS got their fair share of shafting, but they *did* manage to bypass that whole "But they can die" crap that snagged Wrex and the ME2 characters.

Sacrifice in what way?

Is Miranda in trouble and you mean sacrifice them to save her? In a way, no. I trust that Miranda would be able to more or less get herself out of a problem, though I would send help to extract her if I knew she was in trouble right that second and I could do something. I like Miranda's character because you don't have to rescue her all the time. If I liked that I would be a Tali-mancer.

Do you mean no new/old squad or crew, just Miranda? Probably not. She's extremely capable and could do everything that EDI can't (though EDI might not be able to run the ship by herself after the alliance retrofit) but she would be on the ship doing those duties all the time. It's a waste of her talents to put her in charge of managing your ship when you're a military operative again. I'd rather she hunt down and shut down Cerberus bases than set up a terminal where I can buy gun upgrades.

Or do you mean in the end? Probably. I would reload to see both choices though.

Tali, Garrus, and James can go. EDI and Javik are entirely too interesting to pass up, even for Miranda.

Any update on information on that DLC announced today? Or are we just grasping at straws on it?
