I've always said that a Sniper Rifle would fit Miranda, so I second that.

My favorite character from ME1 is Kate Bowman. My main Shepard had a crush on her - and then he had to let her die...

Also we don't have any female snipers. That's a good battlefield role for Miranda since she's already supporter and not a tank. Ashley in ME1 doesn't count; different mechanics and she seems to prefer her boomstick anyway.

Me too. She is really great. Though my main Shep didn't let her die.

About the demo on the ComicCon (which we know that is different from the E3 demos), I hope that they'll show more about other companions, even if not Miranda. So fare we have see only Liara and Garrus in the gameplay as squadmembers. I hope that they'll show two different, I don't care who, but someone different.

Good thing imo. I hope that the second slot will be filled by Vega, so we can finally see his face.

The one in the Alternate Outfit Pack of the N7 Edition? Bioware said that it isn't his final face. They're making a new face (and from the twitter news it seems that they've completed it).

can i ask you guys this? what the hell is the DLC going to be after we wipe out the reapers? ive always wondered that.

I assume that since Bioware has repeatedly stated that Mass Effect 3 is the final chapter in Shepard's story that they are (hopefully) hinting to the idea that they will branch the Mass Effect Universe into more games and mediums. As seen in Mass Effect: Galaxy and the Mass Effect movie that is due for release in 2012... Perhaps DLC after defeating the Reapers could use Shepard to bridge a short story into their next Mass Effect installment? Or something along those lines.

I like the idea of Shepard passing the torch to the next hero but it wouldn't have the same impact as modifying Shepard's gender, past, and abilities to the player's liking. Something along the line of introducing the next villain before he/she fell off the slippery slope. Also many more possibilities. Warring factions, power vaccums, unstable galaxy.

Well what I suppose they could do is have Shepard 'pass the torch to the next hero' as you put it, but for the next installment in the franchise still allow players to import their save files. Then have Shepard take on a sort of Captain Anderson-like role for this (and potentially future) game. Therefore, depending on your save file, Shepard would be a male/female, the Quarians/Geth were perhaps wiped out by the Reapers etc... and all these things are carried on to stand as the backbone for the new game. That way the player still gets that authentic feel that everything that they have done in ME1-3 has still had an impact on their new saga. Just a thought.

But then again DLC could be a simple as something like investigating the Billy killings (email from creepy psycho after visiting Purgatory in ME2)... Damn I want to know who that guy is.

No. It was appropriate for the mindset of Cyrus Shepard to act like this. Don't let personal feelings interfere in the mission. He did what he had to do, and dealt with the considerable emotional fallout later. Two years and some time later, he's with Miranda, but he's still asking himself often if he couldn't have saved Kate Bowman.

I guess I nterpreted it that way because of the comment before.Yeah I read the post-SM Miranda fic you wrote about it. Not sure if it was Cyrus but it was good nonetheless.

Mirimancers, may I be so rude as to request a favor of you? I recently lost all of my ME2 saves, and want to test something about the endgame.

The thing I want to know is what happens when you are romancing someone (Miri, in this case), then turn down the offer to - ahem - get physical before going through the Omega-4 Relay. Does this automatically end the romance with said character, or does is it continued nonetheless?

I'd really appreciate it if any of you were willing to assist me in this matter. Thanks in advance.

Turning down Miranda's offer does not end the romance.

As MisterJB said it does not end the romance, you can still call her up to your cabin after the SM.

I suppose the option was put there for those who don't like the engine scene but want to still want to have Miranda as their romance.

Great, thanks you two so much. I asked because I was planning on doing a romance playthrough with her in the near, but wasn't that keen on the engine room scene.

"I've cleared the engine room." just doesn't feel right when the Collectors have just done the same...

Thanks again!

Tell me about it. I find the rejection scene more erotic anyway. She sounds like she's going to tear his clothes off the second she gets an opportunity.

Normally I wouldn't like it but I tend to excuse it since there really wasn't any other option (besides Mordin's lab) and the scene was really well done.
