When I write them, Miranda uses Matt's given name. Just her, though. No one else knows him well enough. And no canon name, background, or appearance. John Shepaloo isn't my Shep. The nickname idea is better, but it strikes me as OOC for Miranda,

most of time i play with my femshep,But last time i play male and I saw real miranda the way she has pride and hide her tears when the ass sheperd reject..she women have feeling ..but she supergirl and super girl's don't cry...

... So? Lazarus is the only recollection in the known ME universe where someone has been brought back to life, and that was through ENORMOUS funding, and 2 whole years worth of trial and error. Even then, Shepard's corpse still existed in pieces. "Meat and tubes", in Jacob's words. I don't think I need to mention that destroy (The only one where he "could" be recovered) also eradicates technology, not only synthetic life. Shepard's innards (which are comprised of synthetic and organic parts) would be jelly, and who knows how the Crucible discriminates between what counts as "synthetic life". For all we know, it could have wiped out the geth and EDI... along with everyone's cell phone, toaster, and televisions.

Shepard, on this hand, is wholly disintegrated in both Control and Synthesis, and consumed by the explosion in Destroy. No meat and tubes to rez.

Unless they can snap their fingers and produce some meat and tubes to inject with the fairy water, I fail to see how Lazarus can be reconstructed.

But on a serious note I stayed away from spoilers as much as I could so I got the ending full force and it was a doozy. I did hope that we would at least see Miri on earth in person had she survived sanctuary.

I saw it playing out with Shepard fighting in the trenches on earh and bumping into her at a forward command post or something with some playful and romantic dialogue followed by a kiss goodbye or something, the comm thing was ok but left me wanting. I would have been fine with her dying as long as the previous scene had taken place and she died in a way as badass as the character herself (almost Impossible, I know) And have that motivate shepard to finish things and deal with the reapers once and for all...

Then I rode the elevator of light, yea It kinda yanked me out of the game. on a scale of 1 to 10 id give it a wtf. but I listened to codenamed: Immersion Breaker and chose the destroy (see red.) option and Ill be damned if Shepard doesnt go off thinking about Liara (cue facepalm) 

I really dont see how they could have ruined the narrative cohesion so completely in such a short amount of time and have nobody say "Hey guys, This seems like you know... crap". The Liara thing and the ad for dlc seemed like a big middle finger also.

I feel better now.

Speaking of names I recall a dialogue between Dr Chakwas and Shepard about it. She respects Shepard too much to call him/her by his/her name, s/he'd still be Commander Shepard no matter what. Although when a lover is concerned, the absence of a defined name/nickname make it somewhat problematic, unpersonal.

Well, everyone Shepard is friends with tends to drop the "Commander" when they are are shore leave, or otherwise doing nothing, Miranda included. I guess my Shepard doesn't mind it, it's stuck this long, why change it?

I still doubt Shepard is salvageable even in the destroy ending. Like I said, how does the Crucible discriminate between what counts as "synthetic life", and someones toaster or cell phone? For all we know, it could have sent everyone back to the (literal) dark ages. If the Catalyst is to be trusted and Shepard's cybernetics were wiped out, then his innards are probably pudding, plus he took the Citadel and it's control panel exploding in his face.

I would much rather Shepard not become a ghost. Please, for once, can death actually mean something in my fiction? This is science fiction, not Warcraft.

I really wish bioware would pull their heads out of the same hole they pulled the ending, its got to be hard to breathe with all that "Artisic Integrity" up there as well. Hopefully by "Clarity" they mean fix, but Im not getting my hopes up.

Atleast the ending in my head actually made sense (and was fair to Miri) so thats what ill be going with.

IMO, the "explanation" is going to fail. You can't expand upon a pile of garbage without creating an even bigger pile of garbage.

To go back onto the topic of Miranda... I still need people to check out Salvation and provide feedback, if you could. Feel free to be honest if you don't like it.
