I've thrown up a few threads in the group, basically one for each type of contribution:

1) fic

2) art

3) Snarky (or not snarky) analysis

4) Letters

I thought about a separate thread for snark, but decided it would be overkill Image IPB

So, contributors can post directly there, if you want, or contact myself, Vertigo or MisterJB via PM.

Thanks flemm, you really know how to facilitate a man's snark;)

As for the fic I'm planning something for in between ME2-ME3, probably leading up to Shepard's turning himself in.

So do we have any timelines for when we'd like this completed?

Not precisely, no. We did just send a load of letters and stuff in the joint fan book, so we can take a little time and do it right.

No need to try to rush your fic for tomorrow or anything, but mabe sometime this week, as a suggestion? I'd like to start building, both in the sense of contributions, and in the sense of the format of the book (which is what I'll be focusing on for the moment).

I don't know if I can promise complete, polished content but I will get you something by the weekend.

Cool Image IPB

There will likely be time to polish it, but having it on hand will help with organisation. I'd like the book to have a bit of a logic to it, in terms of presentation.

Got my letter up in the group. Sorry, I'm not really artistic so I don't know how I could contribute in any other ways.

I REALLY want to join that "The Miranda FanBook Group," but it appears tha the people that lead that group are those who dislike me. I REALLY want to place my Miri Drawing to that Book. I am a Mirimancer/Mirimaniac who can draw as well, and I have Miranda Fan Art. I worked so hard to draw that Miri Drawing, with a bloody mouse. I'm surprised I didn't quit. I kept going. I want BioWare to see that Drawing. I REALLY do want them to see my drawing as well as others. Sure, it may not be as good as others, but my Drawing shouldn't be dicriminated because of the way it looks compared to other drawings, no matter how better or professional the other artists' drawings are. I just want my Drawing to be part of that book. This may be my ONLY cahnce to show BioWare. I don't know how to send them my drawing myself, nor do I have the Money to go to conventions so that BioWare can see them there. Please let me join that group and submit that drawing.Image IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPB

I worked SO HARD on this Drawing, and I want BioWare THEMSELVES to FINALLY Rcognize it. Not BSN Mods, I want the Actual Devs at their HQ in Canada tio see this.

I wonder...looking back at ME2, was keeping Henry Lawson in the shadows a brilliant move by Bioware to build hype to his appearance in ME3 much like what happened with the Shadow Broker or would kill him in ME2 help reduce the amount of time Miranda spends dealing with her personal problems in ME3?
Saving his reveal for ME3 made him a stronger character but did it happen at the expense of Miranda?
Musings, musings...

...except when they utterly failed to deliver. The Lawson we were promised should've been saved until the last possible second and every bit of his menace savored for as long as possible. The current weakling intern...not so much. We should've run him over with the Mako in ME1 having no idea who we killed and only later do we find out... in passing by a faceless NPC (one of Oriana's adopted parents perhaps).

mmm, about Henry Lawson...

Shepard: So after all, Lawson is your real surname?
Miranda: Is that an issue?
Shepard: No, it's just that, haven't you been hiding from him? I think that keeping the surname isn't a good way to stay hidden.
Miranda: Sorry Shepard, but there are powers that don't allow me to do smart things anymore.
Shepard: ARE YOU A DAMN IDIOT?!!
Miranda: What?
Shepard: Sorry. I wasn't yelling to you. I was trying to break the foUrth wall to see if the chimps can get the message.
Miranda: Oh. Thanks. I appreciate that.

Kinda. I'm just afraid that I have no chances of haing this Drawing of Mine subitted into the Miranda Fan Book. Even if I were to have a friend who is part of that Group post this Drawing into the Fan Art Discussion, they still won't place it in the book, they'll only disregard it and abandon it as mediocre art not good enough for that Book. I'm scared that they only want art that is 100 PERCENT Perfect/Accurate, not drawings like mine.  I'm scared I'll never be able to have BioWare see My Drawing, though THIS is my ONLY Chance! I never have enough money to go to Conventions because of Rent and Bills and I don't know how to create as book to submit to BioWare and I have NO knowledge of their Address.

I need a Chance!Image IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPB I hardly ever gotten any acknowledgment for this Drawing, specifically from this Thread.

Yeah, that bugged me, too. Ultra-stupid. I saw that coming in ME2, but to have it confirmed in ME3.....stupid.

Ugh, haven't we been over the name thing already? Lawson already knows Miranda's with Cerberus hence why she needed to be with Cerberus in the first place. And as he's the only one who would give a damn what she calls herself I fail to see how using her real name would be any impediment to her job. You don't honestly imagine that she used "Miranda Lawson" in any undercover work she might've done for Cerberus do you?

Luis, there is no reason to worry. The book is for everybody. Your drawing will definitely be included, alongside a letter and anything else you would like to submit.

I was just away from the forums for a while, doing my actual work and related stuff :wizard:

Well, for the moment, as soon as you can without sacrificing quality.

There will eventually be a deadline of some kind, because we will need to finish, but right now we can spend some time gathering submissions and making sure we include everyone, say everything we want to say, and so on.

Logically, of course not. Just like I can't imagine why Shepard didn't imediatelly recognize the surname rather than going "Who exactly is your father?"

Not to mention that revealing her real name to Shepard or anyone he brough aboard whose loyalties to Cerberus were sketchy at best is nonsensical.
It's not just nonsensical, it's also insulting to the fans. They obviously had no clear idea who Miranda's father was supposed to be at the time of ME2. And, when they decided to include him in ME3, they just called him Lawson because they tougth revealing that Miranda's name was fake would confuse the fans.

But the biggest offender is that people speculated about who her real father was much like they speculated who the SB or TIM were.
Henry Lawson is no one. He is a completely new character unlike, say, an Eldfell or an Ashland.
We don't even have any clue as to what kind of business the Lawson family runs.

"and now for something completely different..."

I remember when i first made this.

I should clean the text and write something: Any news on a ME2 squadmate DLC?

or: Any news about me showing up in the ending scene?

Anyway, write down your ideas =p
