On another note today is Shepard's birthday. Any ideas of what he and Miranda would do?

I'd say a night out!

(mental note: something like an old drawing i did of them at the dark star lounge =p gosh that more than one year ago... i look at that drawing now and think: OH GOSH i'd change this, this and that!)

she cant do a night out she has to find Oriana

eh, wait, what part exactly of the timeline are we talking about?
i'm thinking of a post-traumatic ME3 where we would get a decent ending that will never happen XD

i was just making a joke of her ME3 role thats all

And I'm reminded of Jessica's PM to me one day after we were discussing her in ME3:

"She's incredible in ME3. They really did her justice :)"

If they had some of that on-screen which we got by implication or email, that might have been true. Still wouldn't fix the Oriana focus or her inexcusable absence at TIM's base. My mind's still reeling that they didn't make Miranda at TIM's bas a priority. The omission is almost as bad as the endings.

Ok, I didn't want anything near the Engine Room scene lolll. But hey, I haven't seen her in 6 months (that's how long right) and all we get is that exhausted sounding apology about something I wasn't even thinking about? And I dunno, the whole "I'm all outta moves" thing just seemed odd to me.....the scene is especially lacking when I see the youtube videos of Liara and Ashely's romance it's like "oh, I see who the favorites are around here".....

It's so simplistic and obvious to have Miranda there at Cronos that you feel like "wait, wut? so she's not involved here?"

so Shep is not on earth....wonder how that affects the possible reunion with Miranda

I don't believe anything that girl says. Nothing. Also, the way she wrote her statement is as if "how could you not know that Shepard is on the Citadel, like it's obvious". I'm getting suck of her posts right now, because everything she says is false and condescending.

I liked the ME3 love scene, and a lot of the dialogue it just seemed like there was going to be more. But then everything sort of stops, even the ME1 LI's other than Liara get the same treatment.

As for the whole Cronos/Earth situation I still have this mental image of the entire team, ME2 squaddies included fighting through the streets of London marching towards the Conduit. Looking back, the final push to take back Earth would have been better suited to the Suicide Mission concept than the assault on the Collector Base. You're going up against this god-like enemy who's destroyed countless civilizations and Shepard has to lead a team of the galaxy's best and brightest to stop them.

I think the few romance lines are great.
The problem with Miranda's romance in ME3 is not the quality, it's the quantity.

The romance scene in the apartment should be much longer and not end so abruptly.

It was always the best explanation for the breathing scene that it's on one of the Citadel wards. No real hindrance for a reunion though since it's all in the Sol system.

But I bet the creators of the ending sequence didn't think one moment about these difficulties of a "Shepard survives" scenario when they made that scene. Fans had to bring it up, and fans had to come up with a solution. You wonder how all that got past quality control. But then, so did ME:Deception.

Well, it looks like they were going to have that happen at some point:

Jack: www.youtube.com/watch

Grunt: www.youtube.com/watch

..they have lines for Jacob, The Geth Primes, etc....hell even Zaeed has some battle shouts, (who was DLC in ME2 and got barely anything in ME3)

Some of the lines suggest they were all going to be at the Forward Base in the flesh not this vidcom crap we got...

There's no reason why the SM game mechanic wasn't used in final fight or push against The Reapers:

The game can look at all the major categories of your war assets: The Council Races and any war asset categories over.....eh, 400 maybe? Then you can decide "ok, Asari's go here and Krogans go here and Turians go here....". If those choices are correct, a multiplier can be used on your total war asset number and that determines whether the Crucible fires properly. If those choices are wrong, the multiplier can be smaller or they could just say "we'll subtract a percentage from your total war assets" and that number will determine if the Crucible fires properly or not.

I know that whole setup is convoluted but I just feel like the end sequence and the system used to defeat/lose to the Reapers was bland and weak.

That. It was too short and (to me) it just didn't seem natural....like Shepard sits on the bed and they start this corny dialogue....ugh....I would have just rathered him say "we're gonna win this" and then just kiss her....I dunno, maybe I'm cliche like that.....

Actually the problem is the quality. Miranda has enough screentime, but it's all focused on Ori and Shep. Where's the ambition and vision, the feeling of betrayal? If you kept the base, why did she leave? Her romance is adequate--not great, but better than Cortez and I liked it better than ME2--but there's little to her beyond that.

No Miranda has absolutely not enough screentime. What we've got is fine, the problem it's what is missing.
Miranda should have been a temporary squadmate, she should be with Shepard fighting Cerberus and during the final battle.

Oh Slam, how I've missed you, and Shockwave you're actually useful for something in this game.

THIS.

and....... having one squad mate with Warp and Overload at the same time.

I'm going to re-do Thomas' playthrough of ME2. Might change him from Soldier to a Sentinel while I'm at it (I'm going to use my current FShep Sarah as the "guinea pig" first to see if I like it). I want to do it again because I had no clue as to how to get Kelly up to my cabin so I could save her in ME3 and he was the only one to not get her to come up for dinner.

wonder why they didn't include this in the game!!!! I mean, this is the last game, the end of Shep's story, everyone should have been a part of it.....both me2 and me1 characters. some sort of reunion for all shep's friends, fighting together...

hopefully they will use some of these deleted content on the extended cut

The Normandy seems dead in ME3, with the huge squad in ME2 I got sort of a Firefly vibe and could picture everything that was going on, the ship had a life to her.
