As for the whole Cronos/Earth situation I still have this mental image of the entire team, ME2 squaddies included fighting through the streets of London marching towards the Conduit.
Well, it looks like they were going to have that happen at some point:
Jack: www.youtube.com/watch
Grunt: www.youtube.com/watch
..they have lines for Jacob, The Geth Primes, etc....hell even Zaeed has some battle shouts, (who was DLC in ME2 and got barely anything in ME3)
Some of the lines suggest they were all going to be at the Forward Base in the flesh not this vidcom crap we got...

Much, much, much worse.Ieldra2 wrote...
My mind's still reeling that they didn't make Miranda at TIM's bas a priority. The omission is almost as bad as the endings.
But worse still is her "confrontation" with her father, if you can call it that. It's in the game but...it's also not.
Bioware is not going to make a game where you can't play as a human. It's not profitable.Skullheart wrote...
ME4 will be released some day, the protagonist will be Shepard and Liara's daugther.

.............. i wanted to shoot something when i saw what happened to Miranda's room. Honestly.

Flemm, what's the latest date for contributions to the fanbook?
As of now there is no deadline. We will take some time with this, and do it right, as it is likely to be a one-time statement.
This is more or less how I see it playing out: I'd like to have everything in place towards the end of April, at which point we will set a final deadline and make a big push for submissions.
Once there is a deadline, there will be plenty of advanced notice.

I agree, but it's obvious they were more focused on the casual crowd in ME3. Liara is easier to sell to that crowd, apparently.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...

Oddly enough none of my friends like Liara. They just say, "She's blue and hawt!" Pity.
And if those are the only reason why people "love" Liara so damn much, then I wonder: Is there know other specific reason? If not, then I rest my case: It's nothing more than some type of fetish on Alien Women, especially those with a Primary Colored Skin, like Blue.
We have MANY MANY Reason why we Love Miri. She is NOT ONLY Gorgeous, and Sexy with a Sexy Accent, but she is ALSO a Smart Woman, a Bad-Ass, a Wonderful Marskman, a Powerful Biotic, a Beautifully Well Driven and Fleshed Out Character, ETC.
I'm surprised that I have not really seen a Liaramancers say the same thing.
IMHO, Miranda is MORE THAN what Liara will EVER be!
Most of the time in ME3, when I see Liara in "her" office, I say to myself, "Get out of her Office! This is not yours to take. Go back to the damn Shadow Broker Base!"
I just hate what they did to Miranda in the process. You know, I thought the ending would be the reason I stopped playing ME3. But it's not. It's the characters. I like Garrus and I warmed up to Ashley, but the squad is as bad as ME1. If not worse.

yeah, i know what you mean.
and also, i remember playing the game for the 1st time and my boyfriend saying: what the hell happened to the lights in the normandy? and this depressing envyroment?
it totally makes you give up on just walk through the normandy.
no don't you guys go on telling that this was made to fit the 'dark' tone in the game. I'm so sick and tired of this.

Yeah, I think especially for fan art-style contributions, it's best to get the word out and give everyone some time to work

i'm spreading the word on BSN, and i'll also do that on facebook, twitter and deviantart. You know when you do something that you like, and if you keep working on it, you're TOTALLY SURE that you're gonna screw it up? Working the colors was never my best shot, and i want those two drawings to look great in the highest level of my capabilities, so that is: okay. Hahaha!
There are already so many great fanarts in this book that i don't wanna disappoint.

This is going to sound like a really stupid question for an ME fan to ask but how does an omni-tool actually work? I mean, is it a watch thing that is worn, or a device that sits in a pocket, that generates the holo stuff?

I wish I could help with the colors, but alas, I have no expertise in that area

I see it as a combination of a holo-communicator, a high-speed miniaturized computer running, among other things, an electronic warfare suite, and a portable nanofactory. The actual omnitool is worn under the clothing or armor armor or even implanted in the arm and when you activate it it projects the haptic interface which is all you see in the game.hot_heart wrote...

Do we think Mr. Lawson had Miranda created with one in-hand, or is it in the glove?

And I'm reminded of Jessica's PM to me one day after we were discussing her in ME3:
"She's incredible in ME3. They really did her justice :)"
The funny part is that when I read that I want to say, "She's just a Bioware cheerleader!"
And then I remember what Jack says in ME2 and that Jessica's a Miranda fan...
And then I'm not sure what to think

Err....do you understand how genetic engineering works? You can't just create an adult human, the human has to grow the usual way in a surrogate mother or an artificial uterus. Only the genetic template was artificially created. I have written a lot of stuff about that for Elyvern's fanfic if you're interested.hot_heart wrote...

Any implants would have been made after Miranda was born. Eezo nodules and controllers for the biotics would have to be implanted before puberty. I don't think she'd have had implanted omnitools before she became an operative.

Here's a discussion topic: pretend Miranda had joined you during that first conversation. How does she get along with the rest of your squad? Where would she stay--and no, the captain's quarters is not a valid answer.

Omni-tools aren't implants. They're just devices worn on the arm.

And I think she would get along fine with most team members after what she did at Sanctuary. No more questions about her loyalty, except perhaps from Ashley or Kaidan. There would be a personality clash with Ashley, but that's about it. She'd be very interested in talking with Javik.

That's completely separate from omni-tools. Those implants just detect where your fingers are relative to the holographic "keys" and when you've "pressed" one. They're used for all holo interfaces not just omni-tools. Omni-tool devices themselves are worn on the arm.hot_heart wrote...
