Anyway to answer some other questions, first impression of Miranda: do want! I liked her since I first saw her. In fact having been tipped of about Vrmire during my first playthrough of ME1 I took a peek at the romance page on the wiki to make sure I knew how to save Ashley. But I scrolled a little too far and saw Miranda's picture. I still saved Ashley... but I knew we'd be having "the talk" come ME2;) Then actually seeing her for the first time shooting Wilson in the face I thought "and badass to boot!" She certainly knew how to make an entrance.
As for room on the Normandy, Jack's bunk did cross my mind as well as the similarities between them and the reason for it. But I reject that idea. She's staying in the captains quarters. As much as I love the perks, that room's mostly wasted space since Shepard's not in it most of the time. It's got a bed and a terminal so she can work and after all it's still my bloody ship. As a CO and a Spectre no less what I say goes. Any Alliance soldier that's not down with that can bite me.
Otherwise crew interactions:
Joker- he cracks a few at her expense and maybe once she dishes it right back. Ultimately Joker knows the score he and Miranda are cool
EDI- would try to make her feel welcome. Miranda would be distrustful at first (particularly if she knows anything about the body she's in) but could grow to trust her over time.
Traynor- would be wary but would warm up to her for her abilities and expertise if nothing else. Traynor also strikes me as the curious type so that might be a big help. Miranda may also give her a run for her money at chess.
Liara- mutual respect. They each know what the other's about. Miranda may make a comment about her old office but it won't be particularly mean-spirited.
Ashley- Yeah there'll be some friction. Maybe even full on arguing (nothing out of hand). Joker may nonetheless remind me to take pictures again.
Garrus- mutual respect. They've been through the SM together, they know where they stand.
Tali- difficult to say. Probably wariness again. Maybe even resentment regarding the engine room (really wish they would've picked up on that implication). Since they brought up a comparison of daddy issues between them you might get a before and after Sanctuary with the after being the usual drunkedness. Possibly with a more amicable follow up between them.
Javik- some comment on her genetic engineering and origin issues but likely no more interest than he shows in anyone. Miranda would probably be interested in learning more.
Vega- makes some comment about her appearance will come back to bite him either in a reprimand by Shepard or a jab by Miranda. Might also try the nickname thing with a less than thrilled response.
